In this Internet ecosystem, the archive will have a timely relationship with the society, and through the prism of this relationship, the archival institution will have the opportunity to self-promote, create a new image among the Internet audience and attract potential donors. This effectiveness can be achieved through its own, unique content on online platforms that are part of the network Internet communication system of the archival institution.\u0000The aim of the article is to determine effective means of archival Internet communication through the prism of social network accounts.\u0000The research methodology is based on the use of general scientific methods, namely synthesis, description, explanation, analysis, and comparison.\u0000Scientific novelty. The study describes the content of social network accounts of Ukrainian archival institutions, and provides recommendations for its improvement to advance archival Internet communication. The study is based on the social network accounts of the archives (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube) as a source of archival Internet communication. The network activity of 9 central state archives, 24 state regional archives, and the State Archive of Kyiv is analysed. For comparison, the article provides an analysis of the social networks of the US National Archives through which network Internet communication is carried out. The study showed that 9 central archives, 24 regional archives, and the State Archive of Kyiv had Facebook accounts, there are 16 archival institutions on Instagram, 17 on YouTube, and 2 on Twitter.\u0000Conclusions. Thus, archival institutions can accumulate their potential to produce quality, interesting, and most importantly unique content in one of the social networks to achieve maximum results in promoting their page on the social network. It is proposed to actively promote Facebook accounts, as the starting data of profiles of this social network are the highest given the number of subscribers and the experience of page administration.

Among the priority tasks of foreign libraries, there is the creation of their e-products, development of search information strategies, solving problems of digitisation of documents, and introduction of innovative means of information. Leadership in the development of communication technologies belongs to US libraries, which in the 1970s implemented the first projects to inform the library process, digitise holdings and create e-libraries. Among European countries, information and communication technology is being intensively implemented in libraries of Germany, Sweden and Denmark. The concept of the machinery of information flows has developed rapidly in the East, especially in libraries in China, Japan and Korea. Ukraine is actively using international electronic databases to build its strategy for library informatisation. At this stage, the task is to create integrated global information resources based on corporate activities of libraries for the accumulation, storage and dissemination of information flows, and development of effective search engines and information services for users.

The hypothetical method made it possible to define the «innovative media space of a modern library» based on a value-based approach in library science.\u0000The scientific novelty of the research lies in the substantiation of the value approach to the creation and functioning of the innovative media space of a modern library. The author’s definition of the concept of «innovative media space of a modern library» is a set of technical, technology and software tools of library activities formed in the process of digital transformations of the library aimed at meeting the information and social and communicative needs of citizens, due to their professional, social activities, education, leisure, life, tasks of personal growth and communication.\u0000Conclusions. In the context of digital transformations of libraries, the issue of avoiding technology determinism and the need to adapt the humanistic function of the library to innovative shifts remains relevant. Technology and social-communicative components of innovative media space of modern libraries should be considered in the relationship and interaction following the axiological guidelines of the library, including the implementation of social, educational, value-oriented, moral and ethical, memorial, environmental recreational functions. The theory and methodology of research on the digital technology issues in libraries is a value approach, which consists of the joint study of humanitarian issues (library’s purpose) and technology issues (ways to implement the library’s purpose). The hypothetical analysis made it possible to use the term «digital mentoring» as etymologically acceptable to outline the essence of the socio-educational activities of a librarian. The method of information diagnostics (express analysis) was used to study the state of educational and consulting activities of regional universal scientific libraries in the field of digital education of citizens.\u0000To outline ways to replenish the competencies of a librarian as a «digital curator», the method of information forecasting of the object was used, which allowed formulating the necessary and sufficient conditions for the formation of competencies, namely making changes required to the content of training future librarians by developing a special generalising discipline (or set of disciplines) under the conventional title «Educational Services in the Context of Digital Inequality», aimed at psychological, pedagogical, methodological and organisational aspects of educational and consulting activities in the field of digital technology.\u0000The scientific novelty of the study is that the concept of «digital mentoring as a type of social and educational activities in libraries» brings educational practice in line with the practice of libraries, as well as focuses on the need for further «digital mentoring» in libraries proposed measures on the formation of competencies of the modern librarian in the field of «digital» educational practices.\u0000Conclusions. The study applies system and content analysis methods, descriptive methods, methods of comparison and generalisation on topical issues of improving the training of library specialists and studying the level of digital competence.\u0000The scientific novelty of the study aims to identify new functions and activities of library professionals emerging in response to the challenges of digital transformation. The increasing importance of the virtual library space and the transformation of libraries into digital hubs lead to the emergence of new “digital” professions focused on supporting digital transformation processes, web content management and web communities that require a high level of digital competence. There are approaches to analyse the content of educational programmes using the digital competence framework for DigCompUA citizens and the national digital literacy test of digital programmes in the article, which will improve the content of educational programmes and further develop a specialised digital competence framework for librarians.\u0000Conclusions. In the context of digital transformation, significant changes are taking place in the activities of libraries, traditional functions are being enriched, and new ones are emerging, initiatives are being introduced to turn libraries into digital hubs, and the list of ways to interact with users is expanding. Strengthening the role of virtual space as a component of libraries implies the availability of both technical and human resources. One of the challenges for formal library education is the formation of digital competence, which should be considered in educational and advanced training programmes. The author has outlined the possible roles of librarians who require digital competence to perform certain tasks using the example of new types of professional activity.\u0000There is an analogy with the research on the digital skills of librarians in the European Union countries. The author has noted the need to study the level of digital competence of library specialists in Ukraine to assess the current state and further modernise the content of training programmes. To diagnose and determine the directions of development, it is proposed to use the digital competence framework for Ukrainian citizens based on European standards of digital literacy and digital literacy testing.
