The women activists who are active in public spaces, consciously have a dual role, but which factors are the most significant in supporting their harmony are not necessarily understood, so there has been no effort to maintain their existence. This article is a field study that takes a sample of women activists in Banyumas. The process of extracting data is carried out by means of in-depth interviews to determine the gender perception index, then using focus group discussions (FGD) to find out how the informants internalize the Panginyongan cultural values in their lives, especially related to the division of household roles. With the point of view of the subjects studied, the research is expected to produce a thick description of the strategy for managing household role conflicts through the cultural values of panginyongan. The results showed that the equality of positions had permeated through the equivalence of language, speech, attitude and behavior, so that none of the household players felt humiliated or exalted in filling domestic or public duties. If the wife is left for outdoor activities, the husband plays a role in completing the abandoned domestic work, and vice versa.","PeriodicalId":33408,"journal":{"name":"Yinyang Jurnal Studi Islam Gender dan Anak","volume":"31 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87909739","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Documentation data at two high schools, SMAN 1 Kalianget and SMAN 1 Sumenep, show that for 15 years the majority of teachers selected to participate in the selection of principal candidates were male teachers. This study aims to analyze the patriarchal habitus of selecting prospective principals at SMAN 1 Sumenep and SMAN 1 Kalianget. So far, the selection of school principal candidates has been a contested space that is full of conflicts, but is often forgotten. The method used is qualitative with a Schutz phenomenological approach. Interviews, observations, and documentation became tools for data collection. Through Bourdieu's theory, the result is that the reproduction of the patriarchal teacher selection to participate in the selection of prospective principals occurs due to the defeat of female teachers' accumulated capital with male teachers. In addition, there is the politicization of religion and matrilineal relations with patriarchy being the main habitus. This condition causes female teachers to experience defeat in an arena.","PeriodicalId":33408,"journal":{"name":"Yinyang Jurnal Studi Islam Gender dan Anak","volume":"5 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-06-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86143938","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A husband is thought to be in a higher position than his wife and therefore be free to administer matters while she is obedient. Even domestic violence perpetrated by husbands against wives is common in Indonesia. Based on this fact it is necessary to educate societies about gender-minded families that view husband and wife in equal positions. One way is by using well-interest social media as Instagram as an effort to educate people. The rise of the feminist movement and the emergence of pioneering figures for women's emancipation also contributed to the initiation of the role of women as labors who deserve attention like male labors. This is what later became a sociological argument for Indonesia to be responsive to the issue of female labor through its legal products. Actually, this responsiveness can be seen from the issuance of Law Number 11 of 2020 which presents a new nuance in the employment cluster which was previously regulated in Law Number 13 of 2003. This study aims to elaborate on the capabilities of women as workers based on Islamic legal norms and identify the extent to which the nuances of feminism are present in the Indonesian Labor Law. The identification was carried out against Law Number 11 of 2020 which changed 31 articles, deleted 29 articles, and inserted 13 new articles from the previous Labor Law. The data in this study were collected through a literature study and then analyzed using a normative approach to Islamic law and a gender approach. The final conclusion of this research is that there is an offer of solutions in responding to issues of female labor that are developing in Indonesia.","PeriodicalId":33408,"journal":{"name":"Yinyang Jurnal Studi Islam Gender dan Anak","volume":"35 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80781652","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Over the last five years, there has been a two-and-a-half-fold surge in female terrorism in Indonesia. Many of the terrorists used children in suicide bombs. This article review the changing role and involvement of women and children in terrorist acts in Indonesia. The study employed a qualitative method with a case study approach. Atlas.ti software version 8 was used to analyse the data. The findings indicated an upsurge in the engagement of women and children in terrorist acts. Female terrorists are motivated by emotions and personal issues. The radicalisation of female terrorists is impacted more by social media, particularly securely encrypted Telegrams. Women have brainwashed their children to participate in terrorist acts actively. Women also contribute to strengthening the notion of terror believed by their spouses. The findings indicate that several factors contribute to the active participation of female terrorists in Indonesia, including the search for self-identity, gender egalitarianism, inspiration from previous female terrorists, social isolation among non-Muslim migrant worker communities, and emotional narratives constructed by unscrupulous radicalism propagandists. This discovery is crucial for the rehabilitation of female terrorists. The rehabilitation programme for female terrorists is predicted to be more effective by establishing tailored programmes based on women's characteristics. Thus, women's active participation in terrorist acts might be decreased, and ultimately, few children of the nation's successors are exposed to terrorism through their mothers. Furthermore, no longer do male terrorists receive ideological support from their wives or mothers.","PeriodicalId":33408,"journal":{"name":"Yinyang Jurnal Studi Islam Gender dan Anak","volume":"45 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-02-23","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84624873","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
