At the same time, it is necessary to distinguish between attractiveness itself as a socio-psychological phenomenon and the factors influencing it. The article is devoted to the integral assessment of the Russian regions’ attractiveness and the analysis of the Sakhalin Region’s place among other regions. The goal of the article is to identify the degree of Sakhalin region’s attractiveness compared to the other regions and analyze the components of its attractiveness. The main methods are integral ranking and assessment of the region’s features influence on attractiveness. The author compiled an integral ranking of Russian regions by attractiveness (as of 2020), performed a brief analysis of the first and last 10 regions in the ranking, analyzed the integral rank of the Sakhalin region, and assessed the influence of certain features of the Sakhalin region in the all-Russian ranking (according to 4 main aspects of attractiveness). Based on well-known ratings and rankings with some additions, it is possible to calculate a comprehensive ranking of regions’ attractiveness relative to each other. The Sakhalin Region occupies the 24th place in the integral ranking primarily due to the island’s location and the uniqueness of its nature. To a lesser extent it is influenced by the development of natural resources, such as oil, natural gas, and fish. Attractiveness for tourists contributes to the overall rank the most. As a result, financial intermediaries (banks and insurance companies) as financial market participants are cooperating to carry out joint activities and solve emerging problems. This leads to the development of bancassurance, one of the most promising ways to advance the Russian financial market. The purpose of the study is to analyze the bancassurance market and identify prospects for its development. The authors provide various definitions for the bancassurance concept, propose a new definition, and consider the interaction models as well as advantages and disadvantages of interaction between banks and insurance companies. To study the bancassurance market the researchers used statistical data of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation and the RAEX Rating Agency for 2012–2020. The authors examined the structure and dynamics of the market as a whole and by segments. The bancassurance accounts for more than a third of the total insurance market volume and continues to grow. The structure of the bancassurance market has radically changed since 2012. The least developed segment is bank risk insurance, most of which is devoted to insurance of bank employees. Non-credit insurance is the most developed, but its share is gradually decreasing. In order to identify specific problems in communication with citizens and to improve the image of local self-government, it is necessary to study the opinion of citizens in detail. The subject of the article is the image of local self-government bodies. The purpose is to analyze the image of the Kemerovo City local government, identify relevant problems, and develop measures to improve it. The study analyzes the official websites and social networks of the heads and administrative bodies of the Kemerovo City as well as citizens’ perception of their image. The authors use the survey method to assess the image of the city and study the tonality of its mentions in media and comments in unofficial communities of the region. The problems that negatively impact the effort to improve the image of municipal administrations were identified. In general, the perception of the municipality administration is neutral, but when a particular topic is relevant to a user, they might become more demanding and information-negative towards the administration. The subject is the condition of the largest Russian ferrous metallurgy enterprises under US and EU sanctions. The goal is to study the relevance and capability for the implementation of the ESG principies by the largest Russian ferrous metallurgy enterprises. The research uses methods of analysis, synthesis, comparison; descriptive, table methods. The sanctions have had a significant impact on the carbon-intensive sectors of the national economy, including the ferrous metallurgy industry. Even before the events of February 2022, the promotion of ESG principles at the international level was used as an instrument of political and economic pressure. Despite the efforts of Russian iron and steel producers, the amount of CO2 equivalent emissions is largely determined by economic, political, and other factors. For the successful implementation of the ESG agenda, it is necessary to radically restructure the technological chains of steel production, which requires financial support from the state. In addition to reorientation to the Asian market and the countries of the Middle East, it is necessary to conduct ESG assessments of Russian ferrous metallurgy enterprises.
