They help to build mental models and control official public discourse. The article features the ethnic resource as part of the regional identity constructed by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan on his Instagram. The analysis relied on both the subjective and regional presentation, as well as visual and content contexts. The author analyzed Instagram posts published in 2020-2022, as well as media publications on the issue of ethno-cultural positioning. The analysis included qualitative and quantitative content analyses, as well as static and comparative methods. Rustam Minnikhanov’s Instagram proved to be an informative source that made it possible to identify the priority attitudes to the local ethno-cultural issues in the official discourse. The ethno-cultural resource was especially important for the personal self-presentation. The regional positioning maintained a multi-ethnic Tatarstan identity, where the ethnic resource played an important role, which does not mean the real parity of the corresponding ethno-cultural traditions. The author believes that the ethno-cultural resource will continue to determine the socio-political climate in the region.","PeriodicalId":33387,"journal":{"name":"Vestnik Kemerovskogo gosudarstvennogo universiteta","volume":"84 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"87481196","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In order to intensify food production, public institutions support large infrastructure projects in the agricultural sector and expand large vertically-integrated entities into rural areas, including regions with low agricultural development. A thorough analysis of negative experience in agricultural holdings could prevent the implicit degradation of the rural territories which they strive to support. The author developed a systematic multistage methodological approach to assessing the socio-economic effects of agricultural holdings. The method was tested in the Maslyanino municipal district of the Novosibirsk Region. The article introduces a matrix of potential socio-economic effects from the activities of agricultural holdings and a list of indicators to assess their expression. The study used such methods as description, classification, economic-mathematical modeling, trend analysis, analysis of financial coefficients, factor analysis, adaptive short-term forecasting, and formalization. The new methodological approach can be used to design scenarios of rural development by agricultural holdings, as well as to promote their positive socio-economic effects.","PeriodicalId":33387,"journal":{"name":"Vestnik Kemerovskogo gosudarstvennogo universiteta","volume":"126 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85110743","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This is especially relevant for numerous single-industry cities and towns in the Siberian Federal District, where travel industry could diversify the local economy and improve the socio-economic status. The authors believe that industrial tourism can help Siberian single-industry towns to overcome the crisis scenario. This research covered the regions of Altai, Kemerovo, Khakassia, and Irkutsk. The sampling relied on official tourist portals and independent sites where single-industry towns promote themselves as tourist and recreational places. The authors used scientific, theoretical, and quantitative methods to analyze the tourist potential of these territories and study the foreign experience of large enterprises in industrial tourism. The article contains a review of relevant scientific publications and introduces some recommendations on the development of industrial tourism in single-industry towns of the Siberian Federal District, which can be extrapolated to other single-industry urban settlements in Russia.","PeriodicalId":33387,"journal":{"name":"Vestnik Kemerovskogo gosudarstvennogo universiteta","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89110921","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study was based on statistical data obtained from The Russian Federal Statistics Service, as well as on the expert opinion of local managers. The e-commerce of the local population and organizations remains low. All social strata lack digital skills, and IT specialists are scarce. The local digital economy depends on raw materials and suffers from youth out-migration. The National Digital Economy Project presupposes developing digital skills in all age groups and industries. The authors believe that the local authorities fail to use many opportunities provided by information and communication technologies: even some of the interviewees seemed unable to comprehend the importance of digital transformation. More and more territories suffer from slow socio-economic development and poor life quality. A strong tourism industry may be an excellent solution if treated as a dynamic multi-industrial complex of territories. The authors used content analysis, formal logic, expert, integral, rating, and program-targeted methods to predict the transformation of the tourism industry and determine the points of its further economic growth. The assessment included the impact of macroeconomic factors, as well as the effect of the regional tourism on the local social and economic development. The article also features the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic, the current sanctions, the global digitalization, and various regional specifics on the local tourism. The research resulted in a mechanism that could turn the tourism industry into an instrument of regional economic development. However, the regional tourism industry needs a sustainable state-managed development strategy.","PeriodicalId":33387,"journal":{"name":"Vestnik Kemerovskogo gosudarstvennogo universiteta","volume":"7 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86748283","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Having summarized the imperial sports policy, the article introduces 4 major trends in sports after decolonization. Nationalization is described through the prism of Indonesian badminton, Moroccan football, and petanque in Pondicherry. Integration is illustrated by the participation of former colonies in the Olympic Movement, world football, and IOC statistics. Commercialization is exemplified by the growing influence of new actors, i.e., non-traditional states, non-governmental organizations, multinational companies and by the migration of African footballers, Indonesian badminton players and rugby players from Oceania. The rise of Asian countries is revealed by means of the analysis of rankings of the highest-paid female athletes and leading sports manufacturers, LPGA Tour statistics on players’ origins, the geography of international tournaments, and the case of subaltern athlete P. V. Sindhu. The researcher concludes that the growing number and the changing nature of violence structures keeps subaltern athletes in a dependent and vulnerable position, forcing them to follow the rules set by longstanding and emerging centers of power, both politically and economically.","PeriodicalId":33387,"journal":{"name":"Vestnik Kemerovskogo gosudarstvennogo universiteta","volume":"44 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"84011126","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The novel is an excellent example of magical realism in contemporary literature. Dispersed throughout the text, visual images have an important role in understanding the fictional world. The characters of the novel sketch animals or fantastic creatures, which become their signatures. The pattern is similar to that of a magical ritual. These drawings and graffiti help the characters to communicate with the mystical House, where they all live. The drawings represent someone or something, while being themselves the subject of representation, which complicates the structure of the novel and requires readers’ reflection. The allegorical nature of the drawings creates the semantic continuity of the House because the characters share the same way of self-expression. The images created by Smoker are special because this character belongs to the House only partially. Smoker’s drawings clearly demonstrate his alienness in the world of the House, but they provide a metaphorical understanding of the House and offer its artistic interpretation. They serve as an alternative key to deciphering the mystical nature of the space. Smoker’s drawings reveal the concept of time distorted by the House","PeriodicalId":33387,"journal":{"name":"Vestnik Kemerovskogo gosudarstvennogo universiteta","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"47019653","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Th frontier exploration into the southern border regions of Western Siberia caused administrative transformations in the region. The research relied on management and accounting documentation from the Russian State Archive of Ancient Acts. Th author reviewed the structure of the service activities of the irregular military corps, which included both ordinary assignments to the border area for riverside patrol and extraordinary assignments for the construction of new fortifications. The Kuznetsk authorities did their best to reduce the administrative burden. The archival documents prove that the actual number of the military people in the district reduced as a result of the changes in the military, political, and management situation. By the mid 1740s, the local civil authorities had completely lost administrative control over the military staff, which passed into the hands of military departmental structures.","PeriodicalId":33387,"journal":{"name":"Vestnik Kemerovskogo gosudarstvennogo universiteta","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44136467","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
