This research designed and developed drive system of the robot for climbing the inclined and slippery solar panels. The robot was equipped with sensors and encoders to accurately control its movement such as moved across gaps between panels and stops at the ends of panels. The results show that the robot was able to move on the inclined solar panels up to 10°inclined angle. The moving speed varied from 0.16-0.34 m/s when moving upward and downward inclined panels due to slipping. By comparing to the normal robot after 12 meters of cleaning distance, the omni wheel robot had position error of 0.3% (similar to normal robot) but saved about 64% of cleaning time by using rotating movement instead of turning.","PeriodicalId":333863,"journal":{"name":"2018 2nd International Conference on Engineering Innovation (ICEI)","volume":"168 3","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114008868","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This paper studies the relationship between movie factors and its revenue and build prediction models. Besides analysis on aggregate data, we also divide data into groups using different methods and compare accuracy across these techniques as well as explore whether clustering techniques could help improve accuracy. Specifically, two major steps were employed. Initially, linear regression, polynomial regression and support vector regression (SVR) were applied on the entire movie data to predict the movie revenue. Then, clustering techniques, such as by genre, using Expectation Maximization (EM) and using K-means were applied to divide data into groups before regression analyses are executed. To compare accuracy among different techniques, R-square and the root-mean-square error (RMSE) were used as a performance indicator. Our study shows that generally linear regression without clustering offers the model with the highest R-square, while linear regression with EM clustering yields the lowest RMSE.","PeriodicalId":333863,"journal":{"name":"2018 2nd International Conference on Engineering Innovation (ICEI)","volume":"92 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126544366","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The rise has 10 × 10 cm2 in cross section and 450 cm in height. The supply and return chambers of the loop seal has 10 × 10 cm2 and 50 cm height. Local sand having average diameter of 315 μm was used as bed material. It was found that the side aeration loop seal provided higher solids circulation rate than the loop seal without side aeration. In addition, it was more sensitive with the aeration flow rate. Therefore, it was suited to the reactors which required variable solids circulation rate for a nearly constant of aeration air supply. The finding has not been reported in literature.","PeriodicalId":333863,"journal":{"name":"2018 2nd International Conference on Engineering Innovation (ICEI)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114414741","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Since the split delivery demonstrated that it could reduce the cost by allowing to split each delivery into different vehicles. Thus, OVRP with split delivery (OVRPSD) is addressed. Initially, a mathematical model of the OVRPSD is formulated. Its objective is to minimize the total cost that consisting of total fixed cost of vehicles and delivery workers and total transportation cost. At customer locations, goods must be manually unloaded by delivery workers who are preassigned to vehicles. For safety, the total physical workload imposed on any worker must not exceed the worker's working physical capacity. A numerical example is presented and solved using an ILOG CPLEX optimization tool. The optimal result shows that the model can be solved to a minimum total cost that prevents excessive energy expenditure of delivery workers.","PeriodicalId":333863,"journal":{"name":"2018 2nd International Conference on Engineering Innovation (ICEI)","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125491360","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It is hypothesized that water vapor provides hydrogen that dissolves into the ferritic alloy susbstrate, hence altering their electronic state at the metal-semiconductor (oxide) interface. This study aims to quantitatively prove above postulation by comparing their Schottky's Barrier Height (SBH) in dry and wet environment. The Schottky's barrier was prepared by sputtering $mathbf{c}_{Gamma 2}mathbf{o}_{3}$ onto the T91 boiler tube in high vacuum condition using RF power 150W for an hour. The $mathbf{T}91/mathbf{c}_{mathbf{r}2}mathbf{o}_{3}$ junction was then connected with platinum wire for capacitance-voltage, C-$V$ test at high temperature. The value of $V_{mathbf{b}1}$ was used to calculate the SBH, which increase proportionately with built in voltage. It is clearly shown that the SBH value in wet condition is higher than that in dry condition by 10.3%. This is explained by the formation of space charge layer at metal/oxide interface due to dissolved hydrogen in metal, thus may change the transport property and accelerate the oxidation rate in water vapor.","PeriodicalId":333863,"journal":{"name":"2018 2nd International Conference on Engineering Innovation (ICEI)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121969044","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Business intelligence has been emerging as primitive area of research and study for researchers as well as practitioners. It reflects the impact and extent of solving the data related problems in contemporary business environments. Today's world is the age of several path breaking innovations. It converts the traditional methods of business that prevails in the trade market for several years into a viable alternative that is e-business. It is defined as the process of using electronic technology to carry out any business activity. Even though many India organizations are trying to convert their traditional methods of business into e-business, we cannot deny the fact that e-business trend is a new sprung in the Indian market and is not yet practiced at a rapid rate. Therefore it is necessary to understand the pros and cons of e-business before conducting such business process on Internet. This paper discusses the present status of e-business in India while examining the challenges faced bye-business players in India.","PeriodicalId":333863,"journal":{"name":"2018 2nd International Conference on Engineering Innovation (ICEI)","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126302874","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Frequently, fluctuated temperature, machine overload, and fatigue stress cause shaft cracking and finally broken that lead to machine breakdown and may damage some other mechanical components. Therefore, the shaft crack detection system using Acoustic Emission (AE) was developed in this study in order to prevent machine breakdown and subsequent damages. A test rig was designed and used for an endurance test. A notched shaft under radial bending fatigue was tested until its failure. An AE sensor mounted on a sleeve was monitored in real time to detect stress waves in terms of AE signal from crack initiation. The AE signal was amplified and transmitted to a personal computer via a data acquisition card. AE signal features were extracted to indicate the crack initiation and propagation. Using AE technique proposed in this study can successfully indicate shaft cracking at the early stage before its failure.","PeriodicalId":333863,"journal":{"name":"2018 2nd International Conference on Engineering Innovation (ICEI)","volume":"105 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128926134","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This system will replace the current procedures of human inspection. The automatic visual inspection system consisted of a bullet feeder and high-resolution cameras to capture images of moving bullets for digital image processing. The captured images will be analyzed in real-time to determine any possible defect from dark spots, crack lines, deformation, uneven color, dimension errors, and etc. The image analysis software based on Lab VIEW inspected 2 bullets per second and sent command to reject defect bullets using a PLC controller. This automatic visual inspection system allowed inspection with much faster speed and higher accuracy. The results showed that our system can detect defective bullet with 86.7% accuracy. In addition, the database of different defect types will be useful for determining and eliminating causes of defect.","PeriodicalId":333863,"journal":{"name":"2018 2nd International Conference on Engineering Innovation (ICEI)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2018-07-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125239114","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
