This study assessed the polypore community structure in a restoration area and its use as a parameter to monitor restoration. Our study was carried out in Parque Florestal São Marcelo Private Natural Heritage Reserve (RPPN), a protected area of 240 ha, formed in 2002 from reforestation with native species, 13 years after the restoration measures. The polypore community in the area was characterized according to the richness, abundance, and functionality. Results were compared with data from two natural reference areas near the study site and in the same forest type, i.e., riparian forest, but with different land use history. One hundred and eighteen specimens belonging to 31 species were collected; 6.45% were abundant (Funalia rigida and Pycnoporus sanguineus), 12.90% common, 32.26% occasional, and 48.39% rare. Four functional groups based on the species' relative frequency on each substrate were found. Higher frequency of polypores was observed in substrates of smaller diameter (dead branches). The restored area showed a similar richness to the preserved area used as reference. In addition, the polypore community showed a structure similar to well-established areas. Las biocamas son sistemas de biorremediación utilizados para prevenir contaminaciones puntuales con agroquímicos durante el proceso de llenado de los equipos de fumigación. En este trabajo se realizó una selección de cepas de hongos de pudrición blanca para el diseño de biomezclas con residuos agrícolas de la provincia de Córdoba. Se evaluó la actividad enzimática de los hongos frente a cuatro pesticidas de uso común en los sistemas productivos de la región central de Argentina. Trametes villosa CCC32 fue la cepa que presentó mejor actividad enzimática y se seleccionó para el desarrollo de la biomezcla. Se elaboraron biocamas a escala de laboratorio con la cepa seleccionada y cascarilla de girasol como sustrato lignocelulósico. Se determinó la actividad enzimática de fenoloxidasas en las biocamas. Los bioensayos con extractos de las biomezclas luego de 240 días de tratamiento mostraron un índice de germinación del 60 %. The genus is typified by Phlebiodontia rajchenbergii, a new species proposed for Brazil, and also includes P. acanthocystis (Hawaii) and P. subochracea (Germany), which are new combinations proposed in this study. The species of Phlebiodontia are morphologically characterized by yellowish ceraceous basidiomes, with slightly warted to hydnoid hymenophore, monomitic hyphal system, clamped generative hyphae, presence of smooth thin-walled cystidia and broadly ellipsoid to allantoid basidiospores. The phylogenetic relationships of Phlebiodontia and the related taxa in Meruliaceae were inferred from a 4-locus dataset including nuc rDNA ITS1-5.8S-ITS2 (ITS), the D1-D2 domains of 28S rDNA (28S), RNA polymerase II largest subunit (rpb1) and translation elongation factor 1- (tef1). It also discusses the importance (1) of the different fertilizations forms in the determination of the various soil physicochemical and leaf chemical properties, olives yield, oil yield and quality, and (2) oil quality parameters. Cover crops can be beneficial to soil properties. The incorporation of organic manures is also beneficial to improve plant and soil physical and biological properties, which allows a better root development and longevity, and nutrient absorption. Additionally, organic crops can increase the oil yield and quality in comparison to non-organic treatments. Foliar fertilization can be a very efficient system for supplying N, P and K to olive trees. However, several applications are required to meet the needs of the crop. Olive yield decreases significantly when soil fertilization with N is eliminated for several consecutive years in comparison to the fertilization that is carried out annually. Nutrient overfertilizationcan lead to several negative effects from the environmental point of view. Fertilization with P might be unnecessary due to the extensive root system of the olive trees. Olive have a high K requirement since large amounts of K are removed each year at harvest. However, fertilization with different levels of K had negligible effects on oil quality. Oil quality parameters were first associated with N concentrations in leaves and fruits. Diez sitios de muestreo de 10 x 10 m para evaluar los árboles y arbustos (altura y diámetro a la altura del pecho); y diez cuadros anidados de 1 x 1 m para la herbáceas (sólo se registraron las especies presentes) fueron definidos sobre 1.4 km del Río Hondo. Cada ejemplar se determinó taxonómicamente y se estableció su abundancia (muy común, común, frecuente, escasa, rara y muy rara). Se registraron 23 especies vegetales, la familia mejor representada fue Poaceae. Se contabilizaron 105 individuos, con una altura promedio de 7.3 m; la mediana del diámetro a la altura del pecho fue de 29.5 cm. En cuanto a la diversidad de briófitos, Chile aún carece de información florística en grandes extensiones del país. Como contribución al conocimiento de la historia natural de la zona central, presentamos un catálogo de los briófitos del Parque Nacional La Campana, ubicado en la Región de Valparaíso. Se reportan 148 taxones de briófitos, correspondientes a 111 especies de musgos, 33 hepáticas y cuatro antocerotes. Entre éstos se encuentran nuevos registros regionales y provinciales, además de extensiones de límites de distribución. Se reporta Bryum klinggraeffii por primera vez para Chile. {"title":"Clorofitas, euglenofitas y cianobacterias de humedales de altura de tres provincias argentinas","authors":"V. Mirande","doi":"10.30550/j.lil/2022.59.1/2022.06.03","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.30550/j.lil/2022.59.1/2022.06.03","url":null,"abstract":"El objetivo fue contribuir al conocimiento de la composición y estructura de la taxocenosis conformada por cianobacterias, clorofitas y euglenofitas de estos ambientes extremos, en relación a variables abióticas (conductividad eléctrica, salinidad y pH del agua, altura sobre el nivel del mar y superficie lacustre). En 2005, se efectuó un muestreo interdisciplinario de veintiséis puntos de colecta en tres provincias del noroeste argentino (NOA). Los datos abióticos y bióticos obtenidos en campo y en laboratorio se hicieron según protocolos convencionales. De acuerdo a los resultados, la mayoría de los ejemplares en Catamarca (coincidente con Jujuy y Salta) fueron cosmopolitas y afines con la salinidad, destacándose, en general, las cianobacterias y Chroococcus turgidus dentro de este grupo; en segundo lugar, estuvieron las algas verdes y, en el caso de las euglenofitas, no fueron registradas en dicha provincia. La taxocenosis estuvo constituida tanto por especies propias del fitoplancton como de otros hábitats. Los valores bajos a intermedios de diversidad (0,01-2,85) estarían vinculados al predominio de especies raras y de unas pocas dominantes. La biomasa mostró sensibilidad a las condiciones ambientales, en general disminuyó con el aumento de la salinidad, varió entre 24.007-60.396.324 mg/ml de C. La aplicación del Análisis de Componentes Principales, tanto para variables abióticas como bióticas, fueron de utilidad porque aportaron datos complementarios sobre la distribución de los sitios.
