There is an increased interest in the study of thermoelectric (thermoelectric EMF) properties of natural pyrite. The object of the study is natural pyrite of n- and p-type conductivity. Thermoelectric properties of pyrite are the subject of the study. The purpose of the study is to reveal regularities of changes in the thermoelectric properties of natural pyrite depending on temperature. To reach this purpose the following problems should be solved: to collect the equipment for temperature dependences of voltage U(T) and resistivity ρ(T) of natural pyrite in the range 300...600 K; to determine temperature dependences of voltage U(T), fixed between two different points on the surface of natural pyrite samples in the range 300...600 K; to determine temperature dependences of resistivity ρ(T) of natural pyrite samples in the range 300...600 K; to analyze obtained results in terms of theoretical and applied research. The results of the study of thermoelectric properties of natural pyrite FeS2 n- and p-type conductivity, as well as natural pyrite with quartz inclusions are presented. This study is due to the need to search for and study new compositions, on the basis of which economical, cheap thermo generators can be manufactured. Experimentally, temperature dependencies of resistivity and voltage fixed between two points on the surface of the samples were obtained. For this purpose, samples fixed between two contacts in a specially prepared cell were placed in a muffle furnace that ensures uniform heating. For improving uniform heating as inside as surface layers of the experimental samples the special metal cube, which has function of the electrostatic protector in addition, has been used. It is special actually from a point of view raising quality of the measuring. Samples with quartz inclusions have been found to exhibit steeper voltage rises with increasing temperature than samples of hole and electron pyrite. It has been proved that the maximum values of the voltage recorded between two points on the surface of the samples are 2.5104μV for pyrite with quartz inclusions, 1.4104μV for hole pyrite and do not exceed 7103μV for electron pyrite. The maximum resistivity values are 15 Ωmm for hole pyrite, 432.75 Ωmm for electron pyrite and 1 kΩm∙m for pyrite with quartz inclusions. Based on the data obtained, the authors conclude that hole pyrite from a practical point of view is the most promising material for using in thermoelectric materials science. Rogov","doi":"10.21209/2227-9245-2022-28-2-19-28","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.21209/2227-9245-2022-28-2-19-28","url":null,"abstract":"The creation of the East Siberian metallurgical base is an indispensable condition for the implementation of reindustrialization processes, including industrial and civil construction, engineering for the mining industry, the chemical industry, etc. The existing opportunities are the formation of a promising heavy-duty iron ore base for the Urals and Western Siberia based on the Bakcharskoye deposit causes the creation in Eastern Siberia of mining and metallurgical enterprises, mainly of local importance. Perspective restrictions on the use of natural gas in iron production, environmental and investment restrictions for blast-furnace production determine the use of liquid-phase iron reduction technologies using thermal coals. The concentration of groups of iron ore deposits in the Irkutsk region makes it possible to create mining and metallurgical plants near the cities of Ust-Ilimsk, Taishet, Tulun. The involvement of significant resources of titanomagnetites is possible when solving the problem of developing more efficient technologies for producing metallic titanium. The object of the research is resources of iron-ore and coal deposits in the Irkutsk region in the process of assessing the possibility and efficiency of their use in the prospective mining and metallurgical industries. The subject of the research is technological and resource prerequisites for location of large objects of mining-metallurgical complexes for direct production of iron in Irkutsk region. The aim of the research is to identify promising deposits and occurrences of iron ore and coal raw materials, taking into account the possibilities of application of existing technical and technological solutions for transportation, enrichment and metallurgical processing for complex processing. The objectives of the research are: to assess the potential of large iron ore deposits of Western Siberia using new technologies to meet the needs of metallurgical enterprises in the Urals and Kemerovo region; to determine a new concept of promising metallurgical base of Eastern Siberia; to determine a promising base for the placement of mining and metallurgical plants in the Irkutsk region. Methodology and research methods. The research methodology is based on a systematic representation of the mining-metallurgical complex created on the territorial combination of raw materials and fuel in accordance with the theory of energy-production cycles, in which promising (innovative) technologies are implemented. When determining the degree of priority development of titanium-magnetite deposits, the possibility of using the resulting titanium-containing products is taken into account. The enterprises of the fuel and energy complex (FEC) play a key role in the economy of the Russian Federation, but they have a continuous negative impact on the environment. The subject of the research is a set of theoretical, methodological and practical aspects of increasing the energy security of heat supply in the Russian Federation by replacing coal with more environmentally friendly fuels. The purpose of the study is to propose a way to improve the energy security of heat supply in the Russian Federation by replacing coal with more environmentally friendly fuels. The study has been carried out using a set of methods: comparative analysis, analysis of structure, financial analysis. Coal makes up about 80 % of the total amount of raw materials used to generate heat in the Irkutsk region. This has a significant impact on the degree of environmental pollution. There is a possibility of using part of production and consumption waste as an alternative fuel (RDF) for thermal power facilities in the Russian Federation to improve the energy security of heat supply. Fuel for the production of thermal energy can be obtained as a result of processing production and consumption waste. This will lead to a solution to the problem of garbage disposal. The problem in the field of municipal solid waste (MSW) in the Irkutsk region is aggravated by the fact that the waste processing complex, waste handling and waste sorting complexes are absent on the territory of the region. An analysis of the financial indicators of the incineration plant operating in the Russian Federation shows that the financial results of operations are negative for 2019, 2020. Since most of the bodies, terrestrial planets and their surrounding objects may contain clinopyroxenes, it is possible to study the temperature and pressure of rock formation in certain areas according to the state of these minerals, and the studies can be carried out identically to the geothermobarometry of Earth rocks. The paper presents the results of experimental studies of clinopyroxene compositions of the basic model system CaO-MgO-Al2O3-SiO2 in the pressure range of 12...30 kbar and temperatures of 1325...1650 °C, which can be assumed as conditions for the formation of lunar rocks. The development of the necessary experimental data obtained in terrestrial conditions will help in the future to conduct remote studies of the Moon and other celestial bodies without the need to deliver soil to Earth. The revealed clinopyroxenes can be analyzed with existing geothermometers and geobarometers obtained for different ranges of P-T conditions. The possibility of creating a new geothermobarometer based on the distribution of minals or cations in clinopyroxene specifically for lunar rocks is not excluded. The main features and possible instrumentation of the apparatus intended for the study of the lunar surface are described. The study of different areas of the lunar surface will determine where the country rocks are located most closely to the surface.
