The study considers the vocational pre-higher education students’ perceptions of various graphic works in drawing and descriptive geometry in the context of graphic work features, and understanding the significance of drawing works for the formation of a future specialist in the construction industry. Students were suggested to fill in the forms with a list of the curriculum topics and give grades according to three criteria: usefulness for the future profession, the complexity of the graphic work and the engagement in performing the task.Research results provide problem-solving solutions related to teaching methodology of such disciplines as \"Technical Drawings\", \"Drawings and Basics of Descriptive Geometry\" and \"Descriptive geometry\".Based on research findings, the recommendations concerning teaching and increasing interest in educational material can be made. It has been found that certain topics do not arouse much interest in students, so we recommend improving students' motivation in the classroom by employing engaging tasks, taking into account the peculiarities of perception and attention when studying these topics. The topics that are difficult to master according to students' responses require more hours for studying, and the topics that students consider least useful should be reviewed, reformatted, or even excluded from the program. Simulation is a process of forming, preparing and entering a mathematical model in a computational environment and obtaining the results of the calculations performed in this environment. The mathematical model of the pneumatic line to be simulated is according to previously presented equations. For the simulation of the dynamic processes, various real parameters of the dimensions and lengths of the pneumatic lines with the corresponding coefficients are introduced into the model. The simulation of the transient responses was carried out with stepwise variation and sinusoidal input signal supplied by the set point device and pneumatic line lengths of 1 m, 5 m and 10 m. The simulation output data were output to the interface in the form of graphs showing the dependence of the observed quantities, the input and output pressure through the pneumatic line, and the input and output flow rates. From the mathematical model and the experiments performed, it can be concluded that the transient responses in the simulations correspond to the dynamic processes of pneumatic lines of different lengths.","PeriodicalId":332103,"journal":{"name":"ENVIRONMENT. In addition, bryophytes take part in ecosystem functioning and are excellent environmental indicators. Almost half of the red-listed bryophyte distribution in Latvia is related to forest habitats. However, despite the increasing knowledge about epiphyte ecology, we are lacking information about individual rare species environmental demands. The present study aimed to evaluate the transplant disc method in rare liverwort transplantation success in aspen forest. As a result, we found that the transplant disc method can be used in epiphytic liverwort studies, but improvements are recommended in sealant selection for transplantation. Liverwort transplants were sensitive to changed substrate quality. Although transplant physiological stress during the transplantation experiment could be important. Epiphyte transplantation studies could help to test epiphyte sensitivity to global climate change in the future.","PeriodicalId":332103,"journal":{"name":"ENVIRONMENT. TECHNOLOGIES. RESOURCES. We study the effects of FSP on aluminium alloy A6061-T651 using a tool made at the Institute of Metal Science, Equipment, and Technologies with Centre for Hydro- and Aerodynamics (IMSETCHA) of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The tool has a threaded pin with three flutes and a concave shoulder. Optimal process parameters should always be chosen for the treatment of new materials and when a new instrument is used in order to achieve target properties of processed zone. The appropriate properties, like strength, hardness, corrosion resistance, etc. require process parameters that are correctly configured. The most influential parameters on friction stir processing are direction of rotation of the tool, rotation speed, and traverse speed of the processing. In this paper, we investigate the properties of the processed zone for a total of 16 regimes: 4 rotation speeds (900, 1100, 1300, 1500 rpm) and 4 traverse speeds (15, 30, 45, 60 mm/min) using counterclockwise rotation, comparing the results with a previous study using clockwise rotation. Metallographic inquiry, hardness and tribological tests are used to estimate the stirred zone quality. ","PeriodicalId":332103,"journal":{"name":"ENVIRONMENT. TECHNOLOGIES. RESOURCES. This causes the development of new physical methods and principles for correct measurement of power, energy, and other parameters of laser sources. In most cases, the correct measurement of the laser power is important because the quality of the processes in which laser sources are used depends on it. In the paper, a comparative analysis of the existing methods for measuring the power and energy of laser radiation of diverse types of laser sources is made. Robots are becoming more sophisticated, and this requires more sophisticated technologies. One of them is robot vision. This is needed for robots which communicate with the environment using vision instead of a batch of sensors. These data are utilized to analyze the situation at hand and develop a real-time action plan for the given scenario. This article explores the most suitable algorithm for detecting potential road accidents, specifically focusing on the scenario of turning left across one or more oncoming lanes. The selection of the optimal algorithm is based on a comparative analysis of evaluation and testing results, including metrics such as maximum frames per second for video processing during detection using robot’s hardware. The study categorises potential accidents into two classes: danger and not-danger. The Yolov7 and Detectron2 algorithms are compared, and the article aims to create simple models with the potential for future refinement. Also, this article provides conclusions and recommendations regarding the practical implementation of the proposed models and algorithm.","PeriodicalId":332103,"journal":{"name":"ENVIRONMENT. In the first mode, the temperature of objects with an unknown and variable emissivity can be measured. Information and library systems have a large amount of valuable information resources and information retrieval services have been established to allow users to find the necessary literature. We know that search engines take requests and return results they think are relevant. As a result, the user again faces the problem of finding what he needs among the many sources of information provided.Today, a number of information systems effectively use recommendation systems based on artificial intelligence to recommend objects. In information and library systems, high efficiency can be achieved by identifying the information needs of users and recommending relevant literature. To do this, it is necessary to determine the information needs of library users by analyzing information about their age, interests, level of knowledge in a particular area, previous requests, professions, etc. By introducing recommender systems into library information systems, it is possible to facilitate the work of librarians, increase speed and accuracy finding the necessary source of information, increase the efficiency of management and the level of satisfaction of the information needs of the population. The article proposes a fuzzy model for solving the problem of assessing the needs of users of information and library systems and recommending relevant literature to them. At this stage, measurements are made with a model in which we combined the mechanical part with the electromechanical part. At the presentation stage, a model demonstrating the principle operation scheme of the patented device has already been constructed as an object of research. A rotating magnet was connected to the impeller (it was rotated by the impeller). The magnet was rotating around the stationary coils and was already inducing an electric current in the coils. In this way, the generated current and generated voltage values can be used as an indicator for evaluating the efficiency of the impeller. The experiments in question are performed with three impellers of different configurations, keeping other conditions analogous. All experiments were performed using only one rotating magnetic ring and one set of stationary coils. The results of experimental measurements show a wide spectrum and possibilities of increasing efficiency and demonstrate the principle of operation of the future device. When designing an impeller with turned wings, two cavities for magnets and coils are already provided, thus preparing for the next step in improving the design of the model under study and increasing efficiency.","PeriodicalId":332103,"journal":{"name":"ENVIRONMENT.
