The transducer is a spring mass system which uses SU-8 molding and MEMS electroplating technologies fabricated copper springs to convert mechanical energy into electrical power by Faraday's law of induction. We have shown that when the MPG is packaged into an AA battery size container along with a power-management circuit that consists of rectifiers and a capacitor, it is capable of producing /spl sim/1.6 V DC when charged for less than 1 min. Potential applications for this micro power generator to serve as a power supply for a wireless temperature sensing system was proved to be possible with input frequencies at about 100 Hz and amplitudes be approximately 250 microns.","PeriodicalId":331407,"journal":{"name":"Fifth World Congress on Intelligent Control and Automation (IEEE Cat. The estimation of time-dependent parameters of such a model has been a challenging task. In this work, we propose a method to solve this problem by dynamic optimization. Time-dependent tray efficiencies and the unmeasured feed composition in a heat-integrated distillation column system are estimated based on the measured data of temperatures and flow rates. Adjustable weighting factors are introduced to enhance the identifiability of the multi-parameter system. First we transform the fuzzy classification problem to chance constrained programming with fuzzy decision, and solve this programming using fuzzy simulation based evolutionary algorithm. Based on this, we proposed the fuzzy linear support vector machines (FLSVM). It can deal with classification problems with fuzzy information as well. The main objective is to estimate the amplitude and the latency of the single trial EP response without losing the individual properties of each epoch, which is important for practical clinical applications. Based on the radial basis function neural network (RBFNN), a method in terms of normalised RBFNN was proposed to obtain preferable results against other nonlinear methods such as ANC with RBFNN prefilter and RBFNN. The performance of the proposed methods was also evaluated with MSE and the ability of tracking peaks. The experimental results provide convergent evidence that the NRBFNN can significantly attenuate the noise and successfully identify the variance between trials. A novel path planning technique based on serpenoid curve and genetic algorithms (GAs) has been proposed to control the snake-like robot in Shenyang Institute of Automation (SIA, China). First, the ranges of the path and the curvature deviation have been calculated approximately and set as the bounds of genetic algorithms. Then using real time dual genetic algorithms, this path planning technique not only can decide the shortest path and the minimum curvature deviation, but also can limit the motion error's influence. The robust controller is designed in two steps: firstly, an artificial nominal plant is introduced and based on a reference plant a nominal controller is designed, which enables the nominal closed-loop system to achieve desired tracking properties. Secondly, a robust compensator is added to restrain the influence of uncertainties and nonlinear couplings. By applying the controller with a sufficiently wide frequency bandwidth, local uniform ultimate boundedness is achieved. Only using local position feedbacks, the controller has the advantage of tuning on-line and easy realization. To overcome the influence of modeling error and uncertainty of a system, an idea of using generalized predictive control (GPC) is proposed in the networked control system, an error predictive model is further built based on BP neural network, and error predictive value is used to compensate output predictive value, which forms a new control algorithm of GPC. A networked control system based on Ethernet network was constructed, random-delay-time characteristic of data transmission was tested. Three control methods are compared in the system: PID, GPC, and GPC with error correction. Conventional teaching process is very tedious and time-consuming, even dangerous. This paper presents a new development method for event-driven robot teaching in a virtual environment. By using agent-oriented programming scripts, the prior knowledge from task world and the new knowledge from sensors during the real-time execution are both integrated to the virtual workcell. With the help of event based control, a safe and efficient teaching system is developed.
