However, studies around family function and reproduction health of adolescents are still limited. This research analyzes the link between family function on knowledge, attitude, and healthy sexual behavior among adolescents in East Java Province. Generalized Structural Equation Modelling (GSEM) was applied to the 2019 Performance and Accountability Survey (SKAP) 2019 East Java Province which consists of 32,194 families and 5,300 adolescents aged 10-24 years old. The results show that family functions are not well established, adolescents' knowledge of reproductive health is still low, and most adolescents have a negative attitude toward various population issues. The ability of families to socialize the five family function values is related to adolescent knowledge of reproductive health, positive attitudes toward population issues, and healthy reproductive behavior. This study suggests the importance of strengthening family functions to establish healthy reproductive behavior among adolescents in East Java.","PeriodicalId":33106,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Biometrika dan Kependudukan","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48904594","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

India as a country with the second highest number of DM cases in the world after China has around 77 million cases in adults aged 20-79 years and is estimated to increase by 134 million in 2045. The cause of the incidence of DM in adults is multifactorial. The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the risk factors associated with the incidence of DM in adults aged 15-49 years in India. This quantitative study uses a cross-sectional approach. This research data source was secondary data from the 2015-2016 National Family Health Survey (NHFS-4). The study sample size was a male adult population aged 15-49 years in 157 rural and urban areas in India. The independent variables studied were age, meat consumption, alcohol consumption, fried food consumption, smoking, economic status, education level, place of residence, and employment status, while the dependent variable is the incidence of DM. The results from the chi-square show that there were relationships between age, meat consumption, alcohol consumption, fried food consumption, smoking, economic status, education level, place of residence, and the incidence of DM in adult men aged 15-49 years in India. The results of the logistic regression test showed that age, smoking habits, and economic status had a significant effect. Meanwhile, the most influential factor was the higher economic status with an OR of 0.628 times higher having type 2 diabetes.","PeriodicalId":33106,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Biometrika dan Kependudukan","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44724677","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This aging condition is experienced differently between provinces. Some provinces have entered this period, while others haven't. This study aims to describe the process of population aging at the provincial level as well as examine the causes of differences in population aging periods between provinces in Indonesia. This study uses secondary data from the Central Bureau of Statistics covering 33 provinces in Indonesia in 2010, 2015, and 2020. Aggregate (macro) data were analyzed descriptively using the aging degree index to describe differences in the speed of the population aging process and by statistical inference using binary logistic method and panel data regression to identify causes of variations in population aging period between provinces. Logistic regression results show that provinces with characteristics of many residents migrating out, high population density, many people who already have proper sanitation, high per capita spending, and low unemployment rates, have the opportunity to enter a period of population aging more quickly than provinces without these criteria. Panel data regression results show that the aging population in Indonesia is more dominated by socioeconomic factors than demographic, health, and environmental factors. The results confirm that a holistic development approach must be pursued by the government. More attention should be given to demographic, health, and environmental aspects. Thus, population aging occurs in a quality manner accompanied by the welfare of the elderly population.","PeriodicalId":33106,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Biometrika dan Kependudukan","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-07-06","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"46771574","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The number of divorce rate shows a significant increase both nationally and regionally in Indonesia. During 2019, there were 480,618 divorce cases. This divorce rate increased by 18% compared to the previous year which amounted to 408,202 cases. This paper aims to determine the determinants of divorce in Indonesia, using a Systematic Literature Review of 20 journals published by indexed publishers. The results based on the mapping state that the differentiation of the determinants of divorce in Indonesia very much depends on each region. However, all of them can be mapped into 16 factors that cause divorce, namely: economic factors, responsibility, continuous quarrels, harmony, infidelity, domestic violence, jealousy, leaving a partner, forced marriage, apostasy/leaving Islam, drunkenness and gambling, obstructed communication, interference/third party intervention, incompatibility, unhealthy polygamy, and moral crisis. The conclusion of this study is that the strongest determinant of divorce in Indonesia in each region is the economic factor. Economic factors are the strongest factor causing divorce, because the cause of divorce in almost all areas with the highest frequency and the highest percentage is also compared to other causes of divorce.","PeriodicalId":33106,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Biometrika dan Kependudukan","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"44447115","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The data source obtained through secondary data from the Performance Survey and Accountability Program 2019 with the observation unit teenagers aged 10-24 years. The sample used is 4,649. The analytical method used is descriptive statistics, the Chi-square method, and Odds Ratio (OR). The percentage of adolescent consuming drugs is 4.1% descriptively. The relationship analysis shows that the variables significantly related to young people's behavior in consuming drugs are gender, place of residence, level of education, age group, religious values, and psychological consequences. From the OR figures concluded that young males are 3.2 times more at risk of consuming drugs than young females. From the aspect of family function, it can be inferred that the percentage of young substance abusers from families who apply religious values is greater than those who do not. The findings of this research show that the risk of young people from families who practice religious functions becoming substance abusers are 1.61 times more compared to families who do not practice it. The understanding of drugs is not always related to teenagers' behavior in consuming drugs, because those who understand the psychological consequences of substance abuse are also 1.64 times more at risk of using drugs compared to teenagers who do not understand.","PeriodicalId":33106,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Biometrika dan Kependudukan","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"42338859","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The large proportion of couples of reproductive age (CRA) who no longer want children either at the national or provincial level in Bali is an interesting thing to be analyzed further to see the factors that influence it. This study investigated secondary data of the 2017 Indonesia Demography and Health Survey (IDHS) in Bali Province. The variables studied included socio-demographics and desire to have children. The sample size was 271 married women (15-49 years). We found that the age of women of reproductive age (WRA), occupation of WRA, number of children alive, and ideal number of children are the four significant factors that influence the desire to have no more children in married couples. Based on these findings, a better family planning program can hopefully be made in the Bali province.","PeriodicalId":33106,"journal":{"name":"Jurnal Biometrika dan Kependudukan","volume":" ","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"48209174","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
