This study listed the Property and Real Estate subsector companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2017- 2021, with a sample of 8 companies taken by purposive sampling. The research variables consist of independent variables: Profitability, Transfer Pricing, and Capital Intensity—The research method aims to determine the relationship between two variables, one with another variable. The data used is secondary data. The collected data were analyzed using the SPSS Statistics 25 program. The results showed that only Profitability, Transfer Pricing, and Capital Intensity significantly affected the tax avoidance prediction. In contrast, companies did not have a significant effect on the prediction of tax avoidance.","PeriodicalId":33058,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Islamic Economics and Finance","volume":"440 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-10-05","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"135483935","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We mainly focus on two research questions: (1) what is the relationship between the agglomeration of investment network communities and the venture capital companies’ investment performance? Specifically, we tested our hypothesize that whether information redundancy caused by excessive agglomeration inhibits the venture capital companies’ performance; 2) In order to obtain new resources, venture capital companies commonly do cross-community movements, and we are trying to find out what is the impact of agglomeration movements on investment performance. Using the sample of the early joint investment events of venture capital institutions in China from 2003 to 2018, our research shows that: (1) there is an inverted U-shaped relationship between the agglomeration of investment networks and investment performance; (2) there is a significant positive correlation between cross-investment network community mobility and investment performance of venture capital institutions. However, when the number of movements reaches a certain level, then there is a significant negative correlation between the number of movements and investment performance. We argue that frequent movements across networks will increase the cost of forming relationships, thus will weaken the investment performance of the venture capital companies. This study investigates whether cash flows and capital structure affect firm value in the U.S. defense and aerospace industries. Cash flows are operationalized by using cash flows from operations, while capital structure is operationalized by market capitalization and total debt-to-equity. Utilizing association inferential statistics, this study shows that in general, cash flow from operations, market capitalization, and total debt-to-equity have an effect on the firm value of companies in the U.S. defense and aerospace industries. In particular, the results of this study, show that cash flows from operations and market capitalization are statistically significant. Apart from adding to the extant literature, it is hoped that this study helps managers of companies in the U.S. defense and aerospace industries in their day-to-day management to increase firm value with the resultant maximization of shareholder wealth. The analysis of asymmetric dynamic conditional correlations over 2010-2019 period reveals that the interdependence between oil and stock prices in the equipment, integrated, and exploration subindustries has increased only modestly after the event. The equity values in the refining and storage subindustries do not find a change in the existing relationship with WTI. For example, the SEC uses techniques such as estimating discretionary accruals and others to flag suspicious activity for further investigation. Due to these efforts, the SEC has taken enforcement actions against four registrants under the EPS Initiative. These successful collaborations demonstrate the value of sharing knowledge and resources between academic researchers and regulatory bodies. To mitigate financial losses resulting from fraudulent activity, it is crucial to continuously enhance fraud detection systems as electronic payments become more prevalent. In this study, we propose a novel hybrid deep learning-based model for detecting online financial fraud in financial institutions. The proposed model consists of three main steps: pre-processing, feature extraction and selection, and a deep learning-based online financial fraud detection model. In the pre-processing stage, a data cleaning approach is employed to rectify or remove inaccurate, corrupted, improperly formatted, duplicate, or incomplete data from the collected raw dataset. During the feature extraction stage, various features are extracted from the pre-processed data, including measures of central tendency, degree of dispersion, Principal Component Analysis (PCA), and Mutual Information-based features. A score-level fusion strategy is utilized to combine these features into a comprehensive feature set for the fraud detection model. To select the set of optimal features, an optimized Self-Improved Honey Badger Algorithm (SI-HBA) is employed. Subsequently, the optimal feature set is used to train the Two-Layer Deep Learning Technique-based online financial fraud detection model, which learns patterns and traits of fraudulent behaviour. The hybrid classifier incorporates an optimized Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and Radial Basis Function Networks (RBFNs) to identify probable frauds in the financial industry. The proposed method yields promising results, performing better than most current models used, and has the potential to enhance financial fraud detection systems. By leveraging a hybrid deep learning model and incorporating feature selection techniques, our approach offers an effective solution for detecting online financial fraud in financial institutions, contributing to the mitigation of financial losses and ensuring greater security in electronic payment systems. There have been many redenomination exercises in Ghana but the most current one which was in 2007 became a matter for debate. For this reason, the study considered the pre-redenomination performance of the Cedi (1994 - 2006) and the post- redenomination performance of the Cedi (2008 - 2020), using 2007 as the benchmark period. Quantitative research techniques was employed while data collected were analyzed using SPSS version 20. Exploratory and descriptive statistics were employed and independent sample T-test performed on the variables to determine the statistical significant difference of the means between the periods and the variables. The finding of this study suggests that, the redenomination of the cedi has a significant effect on the Ghanaian economy and also impacted both negatively and positively on the livelihood of the people. More so economic growth and inflation rate are significantly affected positively and exchange rate is significantly affected negatively by the redenomination of the Ghanaian currency, the Cedi. Data were collected from a representative sample of 384 households selected from specific kebeles in the study area using a combination of multistage and systematic sampling methods. The analysis of the data employed both descriptive statistics and a logit regression model. The binary logit regression model's econometric results showed that sex of the household head, education, access to credit, saving and asset value were found to be negative and statistically significant determinants of households' poverty. However, family size in adult equivalent and health status were found to have positive and statistically significant effects on poverty. Therefore, to effectively combat urban poverty, policy efforts should focus on gender empowerments, promoting education, promoting family planning, offering trainings, and facilitating access to credit services to start a business are some of the essential policy interventions. This type of research uses field research, where the researcher goes directly to the field to examine the state of the phenomena that occur at the research site—in this study, using a descriptive qualitative approach. The study results found that the marketing practices carried out by Berkah Jaya Horticulture Gardens included promoting Berkah Jaya Horticulture Gardens using advertising and live streaming features, which were also for friendly media. The stages of ordering between the buyer and the seller are the contract assembly in the form of an online sales account, bai' al-hal contracts, ijarah contracts, and wakalah bi al-ujrah contracts. The packaging process by guaranteeing the quality of ornamental plants before they are sent is one way to prevent consumer losses.
