In this paper study of insulation coordination of temporary over voltages (TOV) has been carried out in 110/13.8/6.6 kV substations. The factors determining the calculation of over voltages are considered in details and results are presented for over voltages induced in transformers, Gas Insulated Substations, surge reactors and surge arresters. These observed over voltages can be further used to determine the overall overvoltage rating of the station. Determining over voltages in the system help us to ensure whether the existing protection devices are sufficient to handle extreme situations without overshooting their energy ratings or some changes are required.","PeriodicalId":330303,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advance Research and Innovation","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126714850","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

MOTIF-method is used for the evaluation of the primary profile. It is based on the envelope system and is suitable for alternative method to the mean line system. It determines the upper point of the surface profile and important for the functional behavior. The roughness and waviness can be evaluated directly from the surface profile curve. Cutting speed, feed rate and depth of cut effect was analyzed on the surface profile analysis. The experiments were conducted to study the machining parameter effects on milling of mild steel. The specimen was milled under different levels and analyzed R, Rx and Ar values.","PeriodicalId":330303,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advance Research and Innovation","volume":"27 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115568356","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Multipliers are key arithmetic circuits in many of these applications including digital signal processing (DSP). This multiplier leverages a newly designed approximate adder that limits its carry propagation to the nearest neighbours for fast partial product accumulation. Different levels of accuracy can be achieved by using either OR gates or the proposed approximate adder in a configurable error recovery circuit. The approximate multipliers using these two error reduction strategies are referred to as AM1 and AM2, respectively. Both AM1 and AM2 have a low mean error distance, i.e., most of the errors are not significant in magnitude. Compared with a Wallace multiplier optimized for speed, an 8×8 AM1 using four most significant bits for error reduction shows a 60% reduction in delay (when optimized for delay) and a 42% reduction in power dissipation (when optimized for area). In a 16×16 design, half of the least significant partial products are truncated for AM1 and AM2, which are thus denoted as TAM1 and TAM2, respectively. Compared with the Wallace multiplier, TAM1 and TAM2 save from 50% to 66% in power, when optimized for area. Compared with existing approximate multipliers, AM1, AM2, TAM1, and TAM2 show significant advantages in accuracy with a low power-delay product. AM2 has a better accuracy compared with AM1 but with a longer delay and higher power consumption. Image processing applications, including image sharpening and smoothing, are considered to show the quality of the approximate multipliers in error-tolerant applications. By utilizing an appropriate error recovery scheme, the proposed approximate multipliers achieve similar processing accuracy as exact multipliers, but with significant improvements in power.","PeriodicalId":330303,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advance Research and Innovation","volume":"39 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116031532","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Between 500 and 600 kg of wood are used to cremate a dead body. Many trees are felled to meet this requirement. As a result we are significantly contributing in global warming and polluting the atmospheric air much more. Therefore today, world is moving towards the sustainable energy sources which are renewable and biodegradable in nature. One of most sustainable energy source is sunlight that too is inexhaustible and available free of cost. The heat (energy) produced is very clean with no pollutants. So above environmental problems can be the addressed very well by using solar crematorium. Therefore anyone can be a firm believer of world powered by solar energy. In this paper, a special concentrator has been designed to supply required sufficient heat energy to the crematorium by concentrating solar energy. Its speciality is a flexible surface curvature and simultaneously with a non-moving focal area.","PeriodicalId":330303,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advance Research and Innovation","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116060807","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Simply put, honing produces a more accurate barrel a better overall product for lower cost.The Aim of the research is to design and manufacturing a honing tool for a drilling machine that can give require surface finish and dimensional accuracy as given by a honing machine and since we know that honing machine are very costly and every manufacturer cannot afford it on the other hand drilling machine are cheap as compare to honing machine and are available even in small workshops so our basic aim to reduce the cost of surface finish is fulfilled and we are succeed in getting the same surface finish and dimensional accuracy obtain by a honing machine. The contents of this report include design, manufacturing and working of honing tool and their study as well. It is well known that a good honing machine is very costly and all manufacturers cannot afford it. We have also seen that hand honing is resorted to by road side repairers and their cylinders lack in the requirements of circularity/cylindricity smoothness. The design is simple in the sense that any manufacture having a drilling machine and simple manufacturing facilities can manufacture on his own and achieve the necessary technical requirements of smoothness of surface as well as requirements of close tolerance on circularity and cylindricity.We use our tool in a drilling machine, because these are very cheap as compared to honing machines and are also available in every mechanical workshop. So our main aim is to reduce the cost of honing and at the same time achieve the desired accuracy as given by the honing machine i. e, in the range of 0.005 microns.","PeriodicalId":330303,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advance Research and Innovation","volume":"160 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116158394","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
