Upon handling a multiphase flow, formation of hydrate and plugging of the pipeline system causes a severe problem significantly. Hence, this research investigates on the behaviours of a multiphase flow and prediction of possible location of hydrate formation within the pipeline system using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling approach. The favourable condition for hydrate to form is assigned in the pipeline system and is further investigated. The results of pressure, temperature, turbulence and volume fraction obtained from the modeling process are used to predict the possible location for hydrate formation and decomposition within the internal pipeline system. The result shows a rapid change in pressure gradient observed in the area of the bending section of the pipeline and an obvious pressure difference seen within the outer wall (11 bar) and inner wall (40 bar) section of the bending pipe. Furthermore, the results indicates the area that are highly incorporated with the turbulence is at the ending part of the bending section. Hence, this phenomena enhances the chance of the formation of hydrate and decomposition within the pipeline system. The whole world is moving towards the 3D content platform, 3D printers, 3D TV sets, 3D mobiles etc. no exception to that is the web and all things in it. AquaFlux and Epsilon are two of our state of the art skin measurement instruments. Originally developed by our research group as research projects, AquaFlux and Epsilon have now been commercialised and used in more than 70 organisations worldwide. However, due to the nature of the technologies, they often require on-site intensive training, which is expensive and time-consuming. There is a genuine need for an interactive virtual training environment that users can be trained whenever and wherever they want. This paper demonstrates the development of a web-based interactive 3D virtual environment for these two skin measurement instruments to serve this demand. The new system contains detailed virtual user manuals, step by step interactive instructions that will direct the users on how to use these two skin measurement devices. The virtual environment will benefit users by giving users a very realistic feel about how these instruments work. Kalman filter (KF) is also used as an observer to estimate the position of the mass, depending on system dynamics and the measured states (angular displacement for motor's shaft and the armature current). Finally, PID controller was used to control the position of the mass depending on the estimated state (mass position). This method is very useful in applications that contain unmeasured states with unknown parameters. Solar cell power is an alternative method of power generation. This paper focuses on designing a smart greenhouse using two power sources, one from the normal grid and another from the solar panels, in order to reduce the required energy for the house. Furthermore, by depending on the sun as a renewable source of power, it provides ‘clean’ energy. The house design consists of three important parts: the house construction, the solar system, and the use of smart applications. First, the house's construction and orientation is designed to reduce heat transfer and save more power. The construction materials of the wall, roof, ground and windows were selected for their favorable thermal mass and properties. Furthermore, the house is built with an East-West orientation with north and south facing windows. The second part employs an active solar technique using photovoltaic panels. A Solar PV system using photovoltaic cells converts sunlight into electricity, which provides the house with the necessary LED lights. The third part involves the use of smart applications, which are operated by solar power. These applications are as follows: solar curtains which can be opened at sunrise and closed at sunset through the use of a sensor that detects the sunlight when the sun rises and sets. A timer is added to the system to control the time that the curtain opens and closes in case the user wishes to select a different time for this operation. It allows them to perform tasks like gripping objects, turning on light, changing the television channels, etc. In fact, the BCI is a mechanism of identifying the cerebral commands and transforming them into actions via the processor. This paper deals with the design of an effective BCI system in which EEG signals are used as brain commands. Different types of brain activities can cause EEG signals to vary, affecting the classification performance. In this study, the signal is enhanced by employing the Multiscale Principle Component Analysis (MSPCA). Features from the enhanced signal are extracted by using the Wavelet Packet Decomposition (WPD). The extracted features are employed to study various classifiers' effectiveness in the classification of the EEG signals, recorded from five different subjects while intending to move their right foot and hand. The total classification accuracy is employed for comparing the obtained results. It is shown that an effective grouping of MSPCA, WPD and Random Forest classifier achieves a total classification accuracy of 98.45%. On the long run, this process has been suggested to have negative impacts on groundwater/soil quality. This research deals with mapping the groundwater/soil quality (salinity) in the Silicon Oasis area in Dubai from the years 2005 to 2016, using GIS technology. The main goal of this project is to quantify and visualize the impacts of dewatering on the groundwater/soil quality. The field measurements of water table, groundwater qualities, soil salinity levels, and ground locations and elevations are used as a ground truth data for the analysis. The temporal and spatial variations of the groundwater/soil quality, in the study area, were determined. Then the impacts of the dewatering were quantified and evaluated. Thematic maps showing the variation were generated. The monitoring part of the system uses an Electrocardiography (ECG) device in addition to a microprocessor to monitor the heart condition of the patient and gives a periodic report to the physician in charge. Practice uses human judgment to match the implant color to the adjacent teeth. This usually requires color adjustments and more than one visit to obtain satisfying color match. In this paper we implement a software based on an optimized mathematical model to match the tooth color and recommend a mixture of standard shade colors that minimizes the error between the correct tooth color and the implants color. Results showed that, using the proposed color match algorithm 92% of patients get their correct color with minimum error from the first time. There are numerous challenges to be addressed like limited availability of the radio frequency spectrum, an increase in requirement of better quality transmission, transmission problems such as multi path fading, inter channel interference etc. This study is to investigate how information fusion of same signals from multiple receivers improves on the accuracy of reception when compared to reception by a single receiver. We will focus on the use of hybrid sensor and information fusion to improve signal reception for a Multi Receiving digital communication System using Bi-linear Time-Frequency Analysis for parameter extraction, in a multi-path fading environment. Performance of classifiers is evaluated by comparing their performance at different SNRs. The classification accuracy of receivers will be different as each receiver has different propagation characteristics. Different types and levels of information fusion are compared and the most suitable method for this application is selected.
