Being stricken by the worst of the disasters it has frozen many developments in the Philippines and it has negatively affected the people's health, lives, properties, livelihood, and their living environment. As natural disasters are unpredictable and inevitable, appropriate disaster risk reduction measures are important, but the post-disaster response is as important and as essential, an efficient post-disaster response could help save more lives and minimize the adverse impact of the calamity. In this paper, IRespondPH, a mobile and web-based application for Post Disaster Need Assessment (PDNA) and disaster response in the Philippines was developed. It aims to provide citizens with real-time disaster information and help disaster managers to make data-driven decisions in the aftermath of a disaster based on the data reported by the citizens. The development of IRespondPH by the utilization of the Agile Software Development cycle was discussed. The testing of the mobile application has been carried out using Agile testing, a continuous process with 4 levels, from component testing to integration testing, to system testing and acceptance testing. Based on the results from simulated data, the tests showed a favorable result with mean scores ranging from 3.8 to 4.6, for all areas of a usability test. It further shows that the developed system is ready for implementation.","PeriodicalId":328771,"journal":{"name":"2021 5th International Conference on E-Society, E-Education and E-Technology","volume":"78 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-08-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126167291","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Almost all levels of education, as well as many disciplines and specialities, have shifted to using online teaching methods on various platforms that fit both the needs of social distancing and the requirements of social distancing during the COVID19 pandemic, maintaining the continuity and minimizing disturbance to students and their learning. This study was carried out in a Vietnamese educational institution to explore lecturers’ preparation and perspectives towards the use of online teaching methods in physical education during the COVID-19 pandemic. On the basis of data acquired from an online survey given to all school teachers who have engaged in online physical education teaching, the author employed a simple descriptive statistical method for the data analysis. The results show that the vast majority of Vovinam lecturers at the studied context satisfy with their online teaching during the pandemic. Specifically, they are well-prepared before conducting online lessons. In conclusion, we need a high level of preparedness so that we can quickly adapt to the changes in the environment and can adjust ourselves to different delivery modes, for instance, remote learning or online learning in situations of pandemics such as Covid-19.","PeriodicalId":328771,"journal":{"name":"2021 5th International Conference on E-Society, E-Education and E-Technology","volume":"29 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-08-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123931894","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Because of the great diversity of habitats, fishes and other genetic resources, it is considered a mega-diversity country. Biofloc systems have been developed to improve control over output in the area of production. This technology solves issues in areas where water is scarce or land is costly, while work for cost effective production and water quality management is recommended due to the complexity of the technology's production system. The researchers of this study have designed and developed a prototype which aims to manage the water quality by means of managing the pH, dissolved oxygen and temperature levels and with an automated feeding system. The researchers took advantage of this opportunity to establish the economic & operational feasibility study of the integrated biofloc process into an automated water management system. The feasibility study results showed a high opportunity of the biofloc together with the automated management system to be a sustainable means of fishing in the Philippines. The ROI (Return of Investments) for the target investors and fish farmer /entrepreneur were computed and found to be at 112 percent and 103.47 percent respectively. It was established that the integrated automated water management system is economically and operationally feasible.","PeriodicalId":328771,"journal":{"name":"2021 5th International Conference on E-Society, E-Education and E-Technology","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-08-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123884205","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Individuals, in essence, develop the ability to think on things they may have taken for granted or were unaware of in the past, and to make deliberate decisions about them. This is referred to as a transformative experience in the transformative learning paradigm. The key to transformative learning is to engage students as active learners. Realizing the values of this learning theory to students, the authors conducted this study to examine student readiness for transformative learning. The participants of this study were 194 students from various majors in a vocational college in Vietnam. The results show that a number of the students at the studied context have had some exposure to transformative instructional strategies, and many have likely not been exposed much to these learning strategies since the percentages of disagreement and neutrality account for about 40% to 50% of the total. The findings are valuable for the stake holders of the studied context when transformative learning theory is applied.","PeriodicalId":328771,"journal":{"name":"2021 5th International Conference on E-Society, E-Education and E-Technology","volume":"73 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-08-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114821409","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Ten million new cases added every year [1]. Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) affects more than 15% of the population aged 65. MCI patients are mostly home-based. Ambient Assisted Living (AAL) systems provide tools for automatic registration of vital signs and other medically and socially important information. An online anonymous questionnaire for healthcare professionals was created to prove or disprove the number of interconnected hypotheses about the necessity and feasibility of the AAL system for MCI patients. The questionnaire was completed by sixty respondents. Descriptive statistics show support for the implementation of general AAL and variants for MCI patients. Comparative analysis of ordinal data groups is done with help of the non-parametric Mann–Whitney–Wilcoxon test and the Kruskal-Wallis test. Table questions results are analyzed with chi-square for frequency tables. Comparative analysis of groups demonstrated relative uniformity of responses.","PeriodicalId":328771,"journal":{"name":"2021 5th International Conference on E-Society, E-Education and E-Technology","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-08-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125897912","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

While consumption of grooming and cosmetic products has been typically associated with women, an increasing demand for men's personal care essentials has been rather evident in today's market. The nature of consumption of cosmetic products has been traditionally associated towards women because the cosmetic industry, for the longest time, has been conventionally focused on the production of grooming and cosmetic products for women. Various studies and market data have determined that the increase in use of grooming products for men have triggered a separate market for male consumers. KingsmanMNL aims to take advantage of the trend in male grooming essentials market by providing a subscription-based model to periodically deliver personal health care products to its customers through its e-commerce platform. Various data from market trends, statistics, frameworks, and successful companies that share the same business model were examined to come up with a viable strategy and workflow for a new men's grooming subscription-based business.","PeriodicalId":328771,"journal":{"name":"2021 5th International Conference on E-Society, E-Education and E-Technology","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-08-21","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130288574","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
