Amplifty-and-forward (AF) and decode-and-forward (DF) are two kinds of fixed relaying protocols and widely researched now. In this paper the performance of AF and DF in terms of the outage probability and the symbol error rate (SER) is analysed. We also introduce and analyse a protocol of hybrid AF and DF (HADF) which is a new relaying protocol based on AF and DF. HADF protocol can choose the right protocol (AF or DF) that should be used in the relay transmission. In this paper, we compare HADF with AF and DF respectively, and the simulation results show that the performance of HADF protocol has been greatly improved with respect to outage probability and SER.","PeriodicalId":328054,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Control, Electronics, Renewable Energy and Communications (ICCREC)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132110312","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It disrupts peace, produces fear and impedes the usual activities of the many. Sadly, statistics say that there is a significant number of crimes in the Philippines that are not directly reported to the proper authorities. This menace if not provided appropriate actions will continue to exist and provide terror to the community. This study proposes the development of a mobile application that collects indexed crime reports in Metro Manila through unsupervised crowdsourcing data. It aims to provide a venue for victims of crimes to report their experiences without having to go directly to police stations. Those who have experienced the same offense in the area can link their reports with those previously reported offenses which refer to the same case. This would provide authorities several views about the situation that could help them in their investigation to ensure that culprits are apprehended immediately. Future works include crime analytics for crime prediction and prevention.","PeriodicalId":328054,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Control, Electronics, Renewable Energy and Communications (ICCREC)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127133555","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Many researchers have developed various algorithms to diagnose lung disease through the lung sounds. One of the parameters used as the feature of lung sound is entropy, a measure of the signal complexity in which the normal biological signal and the pathological biological signal have different complexities. Entropy measurement has some different methods performed in a different signal domain as well. This paper discusses the use of various entropy measurements for a lung sound classification. The evaluation results have demonstrated that the use of a single entropy as a feature on the lung sound classification could not produce the high accuracy. The incorporation of 7 entropies, in contrast, could produce the higher one. For five classes of lung sound data, the combination of 7 entropies as features generated the accuracy of 94.95% using multilayer perceptron as a classifier.","PeriodicalId":328054,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Control, Electronics, Renewable Energy and Communications (ICCREC)","volume":"24 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121069469","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Higher frequencies above 10 GHz are risky because of fading which to overcome it requires MIMO antenna system. This paper presents the design of MIMO microstrip antennas with 8 elements placed in base station. Each element is a two rectangular patches microstrip array with an H-shape slot and insert feed. The material used is Duroid Rogers 5880 with relative dielectric permittivity of 2.2 in 1.575 mm substrate, and the conductor is 35 μm thickness of copper for radiator and ground plane. The measurement of realized antenna results VSWR > 1.5 or return loss < −14 dB in the range of 14.50 to 15.25 GHz, the gain is 9.61 dB with elliptical polarization and unidirectional radiation pattern. The results show the antenna with the bandwidth of 750 MHz is wide enough for both indoor and outdoor radio access in 5G wireless communication system in base station.","PeriodicalId":328054,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Control, Electronics, Renewable Energy and Communications (ICCREC)","volume":"35 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117097684","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the use of lower transmission power and interference due to PU and others SU cause SU performance decrease. To improve the system performance and eliminate the interference effect, the interference mitigation technique is used. In this paper we propose dual list interference cancellation (DLIC) as one of interference cancellation techniques to overcomes interference both on SU and PU. From the simulation, DLIC can improve SU system performance.","PeriodicalId":328054,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Control, Electronics, Renewable Energy and Communications (ICCREC)","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121620874","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The water pump used to do that matter. The technology for renewable energy source, i.e. Solar Water Pumping System (SWPS) will help the society in this sector to decrease the electricity consumption for providing clean water. The SWPS converts the solar energy into electricity. Then, the electricity used to activate the water pump[1][2]. This article discussed about the SWPS design used to residential areas in the urban life of Yogyakarta and the surroundings. Method for designing this system is taken to consider water needs and the potential of solar energy in the area. The consideration factor is building topology, like shading effect and the orientation of roof. With these terms, the system can operate optimally, has high reliability, and suitable to be applied on site. This technology is expected to be able to reduce one of the most high electricity usage in the residential sector, i.e water pumping. The design results that the SWPS uses 600 Wp of the total amount of PV power, 1.2 kW of the Solar Charge Controller (SCC), and 225 W of the inverter. The water pump has the maximum of 150 W on the total head is 9 meters. The whole components of the system is appropriate technology.","PeriodicalId":328054,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Control, Electronics, Renewable Energy and Communications (ICCREC)","volume":"57 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-09-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123468768","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
