At low speed region, the motor works in winding series mode, and at high speed region, it works in winding parallel mode. However, the speed and torque fluctuation caused by dual-winding reconfiguration of the PMSM leads to decline of control system stability. This paper presents a fuzzy-logic control (FLC) for the dual-winding PMSM. This strategy can adjust the PI parameters of speed loop adaptively according to the winding state and speed error. Compared with the fixed gain PI controller. FLC reduces the speed fluctuation during winding reconfiguration process. The experimental results show the validity of the FLC.","PeriodicalId":327731,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 4th Student Conference on Electric Machines and Systems (SCEMS)","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124868275","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the carrier ratio of switching frequency over HSPMSM operating frequency is relatively low and even less than 10. It causes large torque ripple, which reduces the performance and even lifetime of HSPMSM. Since the synchronous modulation strategy is preferred to reduce harmonics under low carrier ratio, the intrinsic effect of synchronous modulation on torque is revealed by deriving torque equation and a synchronous optimal torque PWM (SOTP) with low torque ripple is proposed, which is verified by simulation results.","PeriodicalId":327731,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 4th Student Conference on Electric Machines and Systems (SCEMS)","volume":"147 10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129880405","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, the control performance of traditional model-based methods is limited by the parameter variations and uncertainties. Therefore, when the harmonic drive gear undergoes load torque disturbances, the underdamped vibration will be generated in the link and a steady-state error will be existed in the system. In this case, a backstepping control structure based on active disturbance rejection controller is proposed. According to the method, additional feedback of link variables is introduced by the backstepping control to improve the system damping. In the meantime, torque disturbances, parameter variations and unmodeled dynamics are integrated and observed by the extended state observers. The observation errors can be sharply decayed and converged to zero with proper poles assigned. Combined with the feedforward compensation, the steady-state error is significantly reduced. The effectiveness of the method is validated by the simulation results.","PeriodicalId":327731,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 4th Student Conference on Electric Machines and Systems (SCEMS)","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128386305","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However due to the magnetic saturation and winding temperature rise, the motor parameters(Ld, Lq and Rs) vary widely, leading to deterioration of the current controller. To this end, this paper presents an active disturbance rejection current control (ADRCC) scheme for SynRM drives, which has a simple formation and is robust to machine parameter perturbations. An extended state observer (ESO) is designed to estimate the lumped disturbance in real-time. Then, the estimated lumped disturbance compensates the current loop to a first-order integral element. Meantime, the ADRCC parameters (wo and wc) are just expressed in the desired current loop bandwidth and lumped disturbance bandwidth. Finally, the simulation results demonstrate when the parameters are mismatched, ADRCC performs better transient and steady current tracking performance compared to the PI current controller.","PeriodicalId":327731,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 4th Student Conference on Electric Machines and Systems (SCEMS)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130831683","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Then, combined with fuzzy strategy, a novel fuzzy complex vector decoupling control (NFCVDC) method is further proposed. Compared with the traditional complex vector decoupling control, the NCVDC model and the NFCVDC method are more flexible in the selection of $d-q$ axis current regulator parameters. Considering the parameter variation under different load conditions, the fuzzy strategy is adopted to adaptively adjust decoupling terms and compensation terms to increase the robustness of the system. Simulation results confirm that the proposed NFCVDC method improves dynamic response performance of the current loop and has low dependence on motor parameters.","PeriodicalId":327731,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 4th Student Conference on Electric Machines and Systems (SCEMS)","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125130166","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Seven-phase nonsinusoidal machine benefits high torque density due to the use of third harmonic components. Firstly, two torque generation strategy in different harmonic subspaces with the minimum injected rms value and amplitude of current is deduced in this paper. Secondly, in order to reinforce the reliabilities of multiphase machine, the HFSI sensorless control is employed. Comparing with traditional HFSI method, the proposed control strategy is achieved in 5th harmonic subspace, which can avoid the torque ripple caused by the injected signal. Finally, according to simulations results the two torque distribution method is validated and compared and the effectiveness of the HFSI method is verified.","PeriodicalId":327731,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 4th Student Conference on Electric Machines and Systems (SCEMS)","volume":"11 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122481362","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The asymmetric half-bridge converter topology is the most common power converter topology, with the strongest independence between phase windings, flexible chopping mode, and simple control. The 2(N+1) converter topology reduces the switching tube on its basis, which can effectively reduce the volume of the power converter. However, at the same time it also reduces the independence of each phase. Current freewheeling and difficult demagnetization may increase the difficulty of control. Through the linear model on the chain-angle, the magnetic flux width range of the 2(N+1) converter topology under current chopping control and angle control positions is derived. In this paper, the finite element simulation of the control parameters of a four-phase 8/6 SRM is carried out on the ANSYS Maxwell simulation platform. Under the same motor model, when using an asymmetric half-bridge circuit and a 2(N+ 1) converter circuit, compare the output average torque and current waveforms at different speeds. Since the current freewheeling time of the 2(N+ 1) converter circuit is longer, the system power density is reduced. At the same time, due to the limitation of the conduction width of the 2(N+1) converter circuit, the phase current is smaller than the asymmetric half-bridge circuit, and the efficiency is slightly lower. Finally, an experimental platform was built to compare the effects of the two power converters on the performance of the motor system through experiments, and the simulation analysis verified that the simulation was correct.","PeriodicalId":327731,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 4th Student Conference on Electric Machines and Systems (SCEMS)","volume":"14 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128086791","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Commonly NdFeB permanent magnets are applied in order to get the higher flux density in the airgap because of high coercivity and remanence. Good and bad performances of the PMGs are affected not only by the permanent magnets but also by the number of slots in the stator core and the permanent magnet configuration on the rotor. Four different slot numbers of 6 slots, 9 slots, 12 slots and 15 slots combined with three different configurations of 8 permanent magnet poles in each configuration are modeled and analyzed by the assist of the Ansys Maxwell software to know their effect on the performances of a single-side axial flux permanent magnet generator. The results show that the surface permanent magnet configuration provides the highest internal generated voltage, output power and efficiency followed by inset rotor with surface permanent magnet configuration and embedded tangential permanent magnet configuration.
