The most important aspect of the proposed strategy is to design an appropriate state feedback decoupling control law that ensures that the input and output of the controlled system exhibit a one-to-one relationship. Research indicates that the state feedback gain matrix $K$ already contains sufficient information to enable arbitrary configuration of the eigenvalues of the controlled system, which is usually an 8th order system. Simulations show that this strategy transforms the four coupled radial channels of the AMB high-speed flywheel rotor system into four independent channels. Arbitrary assignment of all the poles on the complex plane makes it easier to design various controllers and achieve both good control performance and good internal stability. The example presented at the end of the article illustrates the practicability of this control strategy.","PeriodicalId":327731,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 4th Student Conference on Electric Machines and Systems (SCEMS)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122311212","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The voltage duty ratio required to reach the reference current is accurately predicted by the developed predictive control, which can effectively suppress the torque ripple issue caused by the conventional two-phase series excitation scheme. Based on the current distribution characteristics of torque sharing function (TSF), the novel excitation, freewheeling and demagnetization modes are flexibly configured to make full use of the torque capability of each phase. The actual current can track the reference more accurately and the torque ripple is effectively minimized. Meanwhile, the adopted fixed switching frequency can help to achieve the uniform distribution of power loss for heat balance design and the minimized audible noise. To validate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme, the simulation is carried out on a 150W, three-phase 12/8 SRM.","PeriodicalId":327731,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 4th Student Conference on Electric Machines and Systems (SCEMS)","volume":"12 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117030565","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A phase-locked loop (PLL) scheme is widely employed in sensorless control methods due to its simple design. However, the traditional PLL has a large position error under speed dynamic operations. In order to eliminate such drawback, a type-2 PLL with revised structured is proposed to obtain the information of rotor position and speed accurately under dynamic process. In addition, the parameter tuning guidelines of the proposed type-2 PLL is provided in detail. Finally, the proposed method has been implemented by experiment on a Higale platform with a 0.2-kW SPMSM to verify the effective performance.","PeriodicalId":327731,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 4th Student Conference on Electric Machines and Systems (SCEMS)","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121176716","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Not only the single SISC or static air-gap eccentricity (SAGE) case are considered, but also takes the combined impact of SISC and SAGE condition into account at the same time. The entire work depends on the theoretical analysis and finite element method (FEM) verification. It is found that the electromagnetic force will be increased tremendously when SISC happens, particularly at 2nd, 4th and 6th harmonics. The nose and the joint between the line part and the end part on the short circuit windings are the most dangerous positions to suffer the insulation wearing.","PeriodicalId":327731,"journal":{"name":"2021 IEEE 4th Student Conference on Electric Machines and Systems (SCEMS)","volume":"72 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-12-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127789336","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
