In this paper, we propose a spatio-temporal zoning model that takes different context dimensions into account and try to recommend necessary services to users in a personalized way. First, we propose a generic zoning model with unrestricted set of contexts where both spatial and temporal dimensions are relaxed, followed by two semi-restricted zoning models in which either spatial or temporal dimension is relaxed, while the other one is restricted. Finally, we show the model requiring restricted spatio-temporal zoning that applies to the scenario where millions of users need to perform some activities that have to be performed in a certain location and at a certain temporal period. We use the above zoning model for Hajj and Umrah events to define pilgrim's spatio-temporal contexts by capturing their real-time and historic activities through their smartphones' sensory data. This allows to intelligently recommend a set of necessary services to the users. It is to understand the information needs and search behaviour of online users seeking for this particular type of information. Thirty one interviews were given to various groups of online users regarding their reasons for searching on the Web and their search processes when acquiring Islamic, particularly those of Quranic-related, information on the Web. Interview data were transcribed and then analysed inductively to identify emergent themes using inductive content analysis. The data analysis focused on extracting common themes, patterns and concepts from the transcripts that were coded by categories that emerged as the process continued. The participants interviewed believe that the Web offers quick, free and easy access to their Islamic and Quranic information needs, as additional resource and/or alternative to printed resources, access to latest updates and publications, and to correct information on the Web. The main use of the information found on the Web was mainly for personal use, study/work use, and for sharing with others. The main search medium used was using favourite links, Google and other search engines, and also forums. The languages used to search are combinations of English, Arabic and other languages although English results were more common than other languages. There were easy and hard to find topics with Hadith as one of the common topics to search when it comes to Quranic search. The findings provide important insights on user's search experiences when seeking for Islamic and Quranic information. One of the methods that has been widely used to support evidence-based practices is the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. The SLR is a review method that aims to provide unbiased or fair evaluation to existing research evidence. The aim of this study is to gather the trends of evidence-based software engineering (SE) research in Malaysia in particular to identify the usage of SLR method among researchers, academics or practitioners. Based on our tertiary study, we found only 19 published work utilizing evidence-based practices in Malaysia within SE and Computer Science related domains. We have also conducted a survey during SLR workshops for the purpose of gathering perceptions on using SLR. The survey was participated by 78 academics and researchers from five universities in Malaysia. Our findings show that researchers in this country are still at preliminary stage in practicing evidence-based approach. In Thailand, the number of people who are using Internet has dramatically increased, meanwhile the number of threats that protected by many organizations also go up. One of the threats to youth generations is pornography that spreads very fast via cyberspace or internet. The Southeast Asian countries have had a vigorous debate over pornography in recent years, exposing deep divisions with the Muslim-majority nation [2]. Thailand is one of the countries be ranked of pornography and sexual behavior. Another threat in Thailand to the Muslim community especially in southern border provinces are in term of website contains seditious and annoying for the Muslim people especially to the youth generation. These problems are very significant to resolve for the objective of future youth to be safe. Many countries try to control these kinds of the issues, but the result has not been too effective. In this study, we propose a coordinate system model among Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT) in Thailand as a regulator and law enforcer, National Broadcasting and Telecommunication Commission (NBTC) and the Central Islamic Council of Thailand (CICOT) as the content advisor. The coordinate system model that we propose is to provide the system for filtering and detecting negative content over Internet to be more efficient in order to prevent people from negative content. Our objective is to protect the youth generation especially Muslim community by filtering and detecting websites which contain pornography and seditious elements.
