The stochastic game algorithm for colouring an undirected random graph has been used to plan project implementation. The stochastic game mathematical model has been described, and the self-learning Markov method has been used for its solution. It is highlighted that the goal of the players is to minimize the functions of average losses. The Markov recurrent method that provides the adaptive choice of colours for the vertices of the random graph based on dynamic vectors of mixed strategies, the values of which depend on the current losses of players has been used. A computer experiment was carried out, which confirmed the convergence of the stochastic game for the problem of colouring the random graph. In conclusion. the possibility of defining the procedure for appointing staff to implement projects has been justified.","PeriodicalId":32695,"journal":{"name":"Decision Making Applications in Management and Engineering","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69623964","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Every production firm attempts to manufacture novel products with attractive and compatible features to satisfy the demands of different types of customers, especially with a special preference for the consistent kind of customers. A decision-making inventory model compassing the initiatives taken by the production firm for consistent customers is developed with the inclusion of costs associated with quality conservation and warehouse management. The reliability of the model is validated with numerical examples and inferences on parametric variations are made by comparing the results employing MATLAB software. However, this industry faces various risks, which hamper its efficient working in providing life-saving medicines/services to the people. In this context, the purpose of the study is to improve the resilience and performance of the pharmaceutical industry (PI) with the identification, and assessment of supply chain (SC) risks. A case illustration has also been presented in the Indian context. The study utilizes an extensive literature survey and the Delphi method for identifying, finalizing, and classifying the risks into seven categories. The Intuitionistic Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (IF-AHP) has been used to analyze and prioritize the risks to determine their criticality. The results show that the three most important risks are financial, supplier, and demand/customer/market. Within these risks, the three most critical sub-risks are found to be loss of customers, raw material (RM) issues, and bad reputation of the company, respectively. The study provides managers with an extensive list of PI risks for their consideration. The results also present the critical risks which need to be mitigated for enhanced performance and resilience of the industry. The study also emphasizes the importance of interconnection between various SC partners for better risk management.","PeriodicalId":32695,"journal":{"name":"Decision Making Applications in Management and Engineering","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69623332","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There isn't yet any literature on PLqROFSs that addresses the issue of the relative importance of experts and criteria. The evaluation's findings consequently become irrational. Additionally, the aggregation operators that are currently available on PLqROFSs are too rigid. The primary goal is to resolve these problems by creating a new methodology that makes use of a new flexible aggregation operator. In this paper, a novel integrated framework is suggested to address concerns with group decision-making in PLqROFSs settings by combining the strengths of the power average operator (PAO), the Archimedean operator, and the full consistency method (FUCOM). With the extended variance approach on PLqROFSs, the weight of decision experts is methodically determined in this line. Additionally, the FUCOM on PLqROFSs is used to determine the weight of the criterion. Some probabilistic linguistic q-rung ortho-pair fuzzy Archimedean weighted and power weighted aggregation operators are suggested to aggregate decision experts' preferences. To discuss the viability of the suggested technique, the challenge of choosing a CO2 storage location is given. As alternatives, we have taken into account oilfields, gas fields, basalt formations, and coal resources. Basalt is the best choice, according to the outcome. The stability of our method is demonstrated by the sensitivity analysis of the criteria weights. The comparative analysis demonstrates that, in comparison to the ones already in use, our model is more significant and realistic.","PeriodicalId":32695,"journal":{"name":"Decision Making Applications in Management and Engineering","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69623518","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In the Industry 4.0 era, one of the most widely used production lines are the U-shaped production lines, which focus on the elimination of waste through a high utilization of workers. It means, that worker-machine assignment plays a significant role in the optimization of production processes in a U-shaped production line. The current investigation proposes a novel absorbing Markov chain (AMC) optimization approach to support the decision making regarding worker selection and assignment. The proposed approach integrates the AMC and the performance analysis of the production process. The numerical results validated the decision making model and showed that optimal worker-machine assignment can lead to about 20% production cost reduction, while the key performance indicators (KPI) of the U-shaped production line are significantly increased. The sensitivity analysis of influencing factors made it possible to identify the critical factors of this decision making problem, such as the qualification of operators, time of technological and logistics operations, and maintenance policy.","PeriodicalId":32695,"journal":{"name":"Decision Making Applications in Management and Engineering","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"69624128","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
