One of the problems in Tangerang City is the management of domestic wastewater. This study aims to analyze the politics in public services of Tangerang City Government for Domestic Wastewater Management. This study used a qualitative method with descriptive analysis, where the data sources consisted of primary and secondary data. Primary data were obtained from interviews and observations and secondary data was obtained from documents issued by the Tangerang City Government. The results of this study indicate that the Tangerang City Government has assigned several agencies, such as the Regional Planning Agency, the Health Office, and the Department of Housing, Settlement, and Land, to respond to political demands from the community in managing domestic wastewater. In public service politics, the Tangerang City Government not only provides facilities and formulates service management, but also makes democratic local regulations and opens up space for the community to provide input and evaluation. In addition, this study finds that local regulations do not regulate substantive issues as institutions that bind domestic wastewater management in Tangerang City. The purpose of this article is to analysed details about Jokowi’s political power through fashion, which is related to five specific moments during the 2019 political campaign until his current leadership. The authors classified two typologies of clothing, including white and black shades of casual clothes and Indonesia’s traditional clothes. Roland Barthes’s semiotics theory and methods helps us to interpret series of symbols on Jokowi’s clothing. This is a qualitative research with document analysis procedure, including electronic material contain text and images (Jokowi’s Instagram archives) related to the main issue. Research shown that clothing wasn’t just an everyday business for Jokowi, but it is also tools that brands his personal identity. Public attention is often stolen when he incorporates local elements in his fashion style. Eri – Armudji further highlight the advantages of PDIP in order to gain promotional votes on Instagram and Facebook media with embedded text in various forms of campaign content to field implementation. PDIP brings Eri – Armudji as a leader in the City of Surabaya 2020-2024. This study uses descriptive qualitative, data collection through interviews, documentation, and observation. The theoretical approach uses Niffenegger’s political strategy of 4P (Product, Promotion, Prince, Place). Research results, First; shows that the success of PDIP Surabaya as a political party has a high correlation with figures, community members in increasing their popularity and electability through coalitions of parliamentary and non-parliamentary parties to the use of social media. One of them continues to introduce Eri – Armudji by carrying out campaign movements through the 4P strategy that has been proven to win the superior vote of 597,540 voters or 56.94% of political opponents. Second; Eri – Armudji’s political campaign during the pandemic used a candidate platform approach, humanist-religious, economic value, mass communication skills both in the field and in social media as a means of winning political campaigns online with of followers of Eri Cahyadi on Instagram 26,000 – Facebook 6,695, while followers Armudji on Instagram 19,700 – Facebook 1,205. More precisely, public diplomacy discusses diplomatic activities carried out by state and non-state actors towards foreign publics in order to fulfill the interests of the relevant state. Various instruments can be used in public diplomacy activities such as books, television programs, brands, festivals, products, and films. In fact, information obtained by the public regarding a country comes from non-government actors. If uncontrolled, information circulating, especially from non-government actors, can cause problems for the national interest of a country. The problem is related to the influence of information on the image of the country in question. As stated by Leonard (2002) that the ideal public diplomacy activity can be formed if there is a synergistic effort between government and non-government actors. This study seeks to discuss public diplomacy activities that use the film industry as an instrument. The actor chosen as the main object in this research is the Indonesian Film Agency (BPI). This study will use the theory of public diplomacy developed by Mark Leonard with descriptive qualitative research methods. The data collection method used in this research is through interviews and literature studies through various sources, both primary and secondary. In general, this research will provide an overview of the understanding of Mark Leonard’s theory of public diplomacy based on what has been done by BPI. In the end, this understanding will show the gap between theory and reality regarding Indonesian public diplomacy activities that use the film industry as an instrument. When referring to Leonard’s theory of public diplomacy, BPI has the potential to produce an ideal public diplomacy effort. People smuggling is one of the common problems faced by Indonesia and Australia. This is due to the geographical position of the two neighbors. Australia is known as a heaven and also a main destination for asylum seekers. While Indonesia is a transit country to the practice of people smuggling towards Australia. People smuggling usually practiced through seas, because it is less security then in the mainland. This article examines the cooperation between Indonesia and Australia, especially in the field of maritime security in dealing with people smuggling cases involving the two countries by using the theory of maritime security, people smuggling and security cooperation. By using qualitative method, this article showed that Indonesia and Australia have a collective security agreement named Lombok Treaty which runs since 2006. These include the joint handling of the problem of people smuggling by the two countries through various types of field security cooperation. Maritime security cooperation between the two countries seen from marine security patrol which has been ongoing since 2012. However, in reality the cooperation between the two countries are very dependent on the policies issued by Australia. The narratives played by politicians in the digital space are aimed at securing the mass base and votes of supporters, while seeking early certainty of their victory. This study aims to analyze Maruf Amin’s political communication strategy in dealing with hoaxes in the 2019 Indonesian election campaign. In this study, the researchers used a qualitative method with a descriptive approach to analyze the data. Primary data were taken from interviews. Meanwhile, the secondary data ware from journal articles, books, news, report releases, and digital contents. The data analysis model used in this study is inductive analysis, an analytical model in qualitative research that does not depart from theoretical deductions but rather empirical facts. This article was prepared by applying research steps, starting with data collecting, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. Results indicated that digital political communication strategies applied in campaigns against hoaxes can be seen from how the digital presence with the identity of politicians, authentic character, and having intellectual and social capital as ulama is indirectly attached to scientific authorities who are bound by responsibility for delivering scientific truth. In addition, another finding is that coherence and consistency in campaigns can play an important role in success against hoaxes. To conclude, anti-hoax narratives in elections are inevitable. This topic has recently become a center of attention and the strengthening of right-wing populism, for example, has succeeded in giving victory to several leaders such as Donald Trump, Josh Bolzonaro, and Duterte. Using the Scopus database from 2016 through 2021, concept mapping and clustering related to the theme of political identity will be seen. Data was collected through searching the Scopus database with the keyword political identity which resulted in 520 related articles. The data analysis focused on cluster analysis, dominant topics, related themes, and mapping of political identity study topics, based on the number of articles visualized and analyzed using VOSviewer and WordStat 8 software. This research shows that the study of political identity has four dominant keywords that often appear, namely: Political Identity, identity, Politics, and Political Ideology. This means that these four topics are the main focus of attention written by most authors. Studi ini mengunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, sumber data utama dari hasil survei perilaku memilih dan wawancara mendalam. Artikel ini menunjukkan bahwa perilaku memilih yang paling dominan pada masyarakat Medan ialah model sosiologis, yakni perilaku pemilih yang didasarkan pada preferensi sosiologis masyarakat. Faktor utamanya ialah disumbang oleh preferensi agama, etnis, maupun gender. Pemilih sosiologis tercatat dalam angka survey adalah sebesar 43,1%. Sedangkan pemilih rasional juga muncul, namun tidak sebesar pemilih sosiologis, yaitu pada persentase sebesar 36,8%. Demikian juga dengan pemilih psikologis yang jumlahnya hanya sekitar 10,8%. Kuatnya perilaku memilih sosiologis ini, kami menilai dipengaruhi salah satunya oleh narasi politik identitas yang sudah muncul dalam momen pemilihan sebelumnya, yakni Pemilihan Gubernur DKI Jakarta 2017, Pemilihan Gubernur Sumatera Utara 2018, dan Pemilihan Presiden 2019.
