Physically, quad-copter resembles a plus sign form, where each motors placed on edge of the plus sign. The quad-copter design reported in the thesis uses microcontroller STC12C5624AD, electronic speed controllers, brushless DC motors, 3000mAh Lithium-Polymer Battery Packs, propellers, ADXL345 accelerometer module, signal receiver module, and remote controller. Using a 2.4GHz remote controller, the control signal will be received by the receiver module, and then processed by the microcontroller. The accelerometer module acts as balancer of the quad-copter that could reset the quad-copter to its initial position and detects tilt position in 3-axes (x, y, and z axis). After receiving input signal from remote control and accelerometer module, the microcontroller will generate final decision to operate motor stably. Combination of four main motors, accelerometer, and microcontroller produce a cost-effective quad-copter that can fly stably indoor and outdoor. This thesis reports design and construction of the remote-controlled quad-copter. This paper aims to assess the quality of the digital orthophotos generated from both LiDAR DTM and DSM. The Lung Diseases Diagnosis Application consists of software and hardware components which formed a first-hand diagnosis tool of the lung diseases, to support the paramedics/doctors in lung diseases diagnosis. One of the most common and proven technique for lung disease diagnosis is the Auscultation, the term refers to listening to the internal sounds of the respiratory system (breath sounds), usually by using a stethoscope. However, this diagnosis way depends heavily on the listening skills and judgment of the paramedics/doctors only. In this research, we develop a new diagnosis tool with a new front-end equipment for the lung diseases diagnosis application: hand-phone equipped with a highly sensitive microphone, to record the breath-sound. This recorded breath-sound is then processed to generate the lung sound, which is approximately similar with the lung-sound heard and recorded by a stethoscope and the lung-sound is analysed to diagnose whether the patient's lung is healthy or not. This application would hopefully support the paramedics/doctors mobility to rural areas as well as remote diagnosis. The requirement is to create a first-hand diagnostic tool which allows paramedic mobility to rural areas for lung diseases diagnostic purposes. The study first describes about the existing lung diseases diagnostic tools and researches, stress measurement, then analysis and preliminary design of lung diseases diagnosis application. To enable each Lung Health Public Council (Balai Besar Kesehatan Paru Masyarakat) and Hospitals as data owner to maintain its own data, and to provide the data confidentiality as well, the cloud computing environment is then applied. In educational software design is sometimes just moving the learning material to the game but did not pay attention to aspects of psychological development of students. Experience and psychological development of the user must be considered in the design of educational games. Psychomotor domain of motion as well as cognitive experience can be a guide in designing the interaction of a game. In this thesis performed interaction design that allows users to use applications using the movement of limbs. Aquarium Interactive applications will encourage users to interact with objects and the user can still move freely in the area of the game. The interaction used is the gesture limb movements is the user's hands. Gesture is read using Kinect that has the ability to identify the skeleton of the user. So the users do not require additional devices to be used. The selection of colors and shapes of objects of interest in accordance with the development of children is also a separate option. In this application the user is using hand gestures and move to do the activity. Subsequently, an experiment was conducted to explore the effectiveness of motion treatment therapy (MTT) to balance human brainwaves. A questionnaire was used to categorize 40 male Electrical Engineering students into active and inactive groups. The questionnaire data was then analyzed to identify the capability of each group to retain memory, to focus and ability to overcome depression episodes. The goal is to prove that active person is much happier and calm. This data is then validated using analysis of the brainwave pattern of all samples. An EEG machine was used to capture the brain waveform. It has been widely accepted that a person with a synchronized brainwave pattern i.e., a balanced brain is usually a happy and calm person. To investigate the ability of the MTT to improve brainwave pattern synchronization, both groups of samples then underwent 4 motion treatments and their brainwave signals are captured. From the study, it was found that in general, active people produced more synchronized brainwave pattern than inactive people. Comparison of brainwave patterns before and after motion treatment indicates improvement in brain synchronization. Pedestrian Dead Reckoning (PDR), which is a pedestrian positioning technique using the accelerometer sensor to recognize pattern of steps, is an alternative method that has advantages in terms of infrastructure-independent. However, the variation of walking pattern on each individual will make some difficulties for the system to detect displacement. This is really interested authors to develop a sensor-based positioning system that applied generally to all individuals. In the test, 15 test subjects was taken with the distance of each 10m, 20m and 30m. Experiment begins with the feasibility test of accelerometer sensor. In this work, a smartphone with average sampling rate 63.79 Hz and standard deviation of 1.293 is used to records the acceleration. Then, the acceleration data are analyzed to detect step and to estimate the travelled distance using several methods. For the time being, there is no specific method to verify authentication of Halal Certificate displayed at food or service premises. Watermarking technique however, offered a solution for authenticity of the data and copyright protection. In this paper, an investigation on perceptual and robustness of least significant bit (LSB) digital watermarking scheme on Halal Logo authentication is implemented using MATLAB software. LSB digital watermarking scheme allows pixel value modification by dividing its entire bit leaving most significant bit (contains most information) and least significant bit (contains less information). These small modifications offer a high perceptual transparency to the watermarked image. A Quick response (QR) code with message is generated as an embedded watermark image for Halal Logo. The watermarked image quality is measured based on Peak signal-to-noise (PSNR), mean square error (MSE), and Normalized Cross-Correlation (NC). The investigation shows the scheme provided high PSNR performance which is between 12-22 dB with Gaussian noise added. The scheme successfully shows the ability to retrieve the embed watermark even though the cover image visual quality is degraded with 50 % Gaussian noise variance. The reliability of the scheme is proven when it successfully to produce an acceptable 0.8442 NC value. Technical knowledge about the design and operation of circulating fluidized bed-boiler (CFB) is widely available but little has been done in the field of mathematical modeling of combustion in CFBs. Specifically, there is no fundamentally based mathematical model for chemical reactions involved during combustion process in CFBs that has been investigated using graph theory. In this study, several important chemical reactions of combustion process in CFB which considered as significant to the process are identified. Reactant and reactions products are classify as species and the number of species is identified from the reactions. Based on the reactions, the model of chemical reactions during the combustion process for CFB is obtained and represented by G (V, E) where V is a set of nodes which represent species and E is a set of edge which represents catalytic relationship between species. The graph is successfully transformed into its adjacency matrix, A which is non-negative. Analysis of the graph G (V, E) shows that the combustion process of CFB is in accordance to Autocatalytic Set (ACS) theory. NMP system is susceptible to latency. The limit of total latency acceptable in a music performance is 30 milliseconds. The research is conducted to find out how BeatME Server application can receive input from BeatME Client applications over the network and synthesize sound based on the input, with acceptable total latency in a musical performance. BeatME Server application is developed using MIDI command as input, and OSC as the method of client and server communication. Audio synthesis is performed using SoundFont standard. This application is tested on LAN. The work shows that the average latency obtained when the communication conducted via LAN is 3 milliseconds. The biggest factor of the latency is the difference between the time when the audio data was sent by BeatME Server and the time when the sound is generated by the soundcard.
