That makes the Arabic language one of the most used languages. However, the Arabic language has a challenge, namely the difference in letters based on their position. Arabic handwriting recognition is important for various applications, such as education and communication. One example is during a pandemic when most education has turned digital, making recognizing students' Arabic handwriting difficult. This paper aims to create a model that can recognize Arabic handwriting by comparing several CNN architectures using transfer learning to classify Arabic, Hijja, and AHCD handwriting datasets. Transfer learning is a model that has been trained by previous datasets to other datasets and is suitable for use in models with small datasets because it can improve model accuracy even with small datasets. The datasets were split into 60%, 20%, and 20% for training, validation, and testing. Each model uses data augmentation and 50% dropout on a fully connected layer to reduce overfitting. Some of the CNN architectures used in this study to create Arabic writing recognition models are ResNet, DenseNet, VGG16, VGG19, InceptionV3, and MobileNet. The models were compiled and trained with various parameters. The best model achieved to classify AHCD and Hijja dataset is VGG16 with Adam optimizer and 0.0001 learning rate. Based on this research, it is expected to know the performance of the best model for classifying Arabic handwriting.","PeriodicalId":32468,"journal":{"name":"JOIV International Journal on Informatics Visualization","volume":"5 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85446182","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Complex imaging factors can make automatic visual interpretation more difficult. Segmentation separates a digital image into different parts with homogeneous attributes so that different areas have different features. The challenges faced in performing nucleus segmentation on Pap Smear (PS) images are poor contrast, the presence of neutrophils, and uneven staining of overlapping cells. This research was conducted to improve image quality in identifying the nucleus accurately. The method used is the Polynomial Contrast Enhancement (PCE) model as an approach to preprocessing. This method functions to change the contrast of the Pap smear image against the overlapping cells so that it becomes a significant contrast in detecting the edge of the nucleus object. The detection process uses the Robert and Prewitt edge detection method to test the identification of the nucleus object on 797 PS Repository images of the University of Nusa Mandiri (RepomedUNM). The accuracy result obtained is 86.8%. Comparing Robert's edge detection and Prewitt's edge detection shows that the PCE approach as a filter method can overcome color contrast problems and detect more accurately. The difficulty in detecting the nucleus from the PS image against the overlapping cells can be solved. This method can distinguish overlapping cells from their core during testing, thus becoming a reference in identifying cells with improved accuracy and testing larger data sets.","PeriodicalId":32468,"journal":{"name":"JOIV International Journal on Informatics Visualization","volume":"25 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-12","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"75849305","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The model uses a bilateral filter in the pre-processing strategy to provide free-shadow image quality and sharpen the image. Gaussian filter and active contour are used to detect and track objects of interest in the image. The Pinhole model is used to assess the real distance of the item within the image sequence for speed estimation. Kalman filter and optical flow are used to flatten vehicle speed and acceleration uncertainties. This model is evaluated with a dataset that consists of video recordings of moving vehicles at traffic light junctions on the urban roadway. Pets may occasionally be drink from community water dishes that could be contaminated with other animals' bacteria, viruses, or parasites. The pets may unknowingly get infections due to this opening up their bodies to bacteria or viruses. Pet's behavior and condition need to be periodically checked. An animal's behavior is directly impacted by its health and vice versa. A pet disease diagnosis application is crucial for pet owners to receive consistent and suitable pet health care. It will help pet owners identify potential illnesses before their animals develop chronic ones. Thus, the construction of a mobile application for diagnosing pet diseases is presented in this paper. This application offers pet owners information on their animals' health and safety. Pet owners can contact veterinarians for rare cases or crises in this application's chat room. The rule-based inference is used to determine the possible diseases based on the pet's symptoms. System prototyping methodology is applied to develop this Android mobile application using Visual Studio Code and Firebase database. User acceptance testing is performed on the users to test how much further their satisfaction with the proposed pet disease diagnosis application is before the application is shifted to the production process. According to data from the World Health Organization as of March 15, 2021, Indonesia has 1,419,455 cumulative cases and 38,426 cumulative deaths, ranking third among countries in terms of fatalities, behind Iran and India. Because COVID-19 was disseminated through direct contact with respiratory droplets from an infected individual, it spread swiftly and widely. According to the American Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 50% of transmission rates are anticipated from asymptomatic individuals. The antigen tests have an accuracy of results ranging from 80–90% and are utilized for early detection of COVID-19. The cost of the antigen test is set to increase as of September 3, 2021, with prices ranging from IDR 99.000 to IDR 109.000; however, researchers are steadfastly searching for the best alternate methods for the early diagnosis of COVID-19. According to MIT News Office, a forced cough recording can identify an asymptomatic COVID-19 infection. Through the vocal recording of a forced cough, this study uses an artificial neural network (ANN) deep learning model to identify asymptomatic COVID-19 patients. The Artificial Neural Network (ANN) can distinguish asymptomatic people from forced cough recordings with an accuracy of up to 98% and a loss value of less than 3% by employing oversampling data. This model can be applied as a free, universal method for the early identification of COVID-19 infection.","PeriodicalId":32468,"journal":{"name":"JOIV International Journal on Informatics Visualization","volume":"3 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80474774","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Natural language understanding requires a computational grammar for syntax and semantics of the language in question for this information to be manipulated digitally. Many languages around the world have their own computational grammars for processing syntax and semantics. However, when it comes to the Malay language, the researchers have yet to come across a substantial computational grammar that can process Malay syntax and semantics based on a computational theoretical framework that can be applied in systems such as e-commerce. Hence, we intend to propose a formalism framework based on enhanced Pola Grammar with syntactic and semantic features. The objectives of this proposed framework are to create a linguistic computational formalism for the Malay language based on theoretical linguistic; implement templates for Malay words to handle syntax and semantic features in accordance with the enhanced Pola Grammar; and create a Malay Language Parser Algorithm that can be used for digital applications. To accomplish the objectives, the proposed framework will recursively formalise the computational Malay grammar and lexicon using a combination of solid theoretical linguistic foundations such as Dependency Grammar. A Malay parsing algorithm will be developed for the proposed model until the formalised grammar is deemed reliable. The findings of this indigenous Malay parser will help to advance Malay language applications in the digital economy.","PeriodicalId":32468,"journal":{"name":"JOIV International Journal on Informatics Visualization","volume":"14 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"80705910","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The literature review is carried out with a protocol involving text mining tools to find the most widely used keywords and their relationships, which is then carried out by a snowball literature review to deepen these keywords. There are several findings from this study, namely (1) Three critical components that play a significant role in improving learning outcomes in the distance learning method, namely the role of students, lectures, and technology. (2) A framework must ensure that the other three components perform their functions properly and provide an effective learning environment. (3) Reward and punishment play a vital role in ensuring the framework is implemented as it should be. Text classification accuracy can decrease if there are many ambiguous terms between classes. Hadoop Map Reduce is a parallel processing framework for big data that has been widely used for text processing on big data. The study presented text classification using genetic programming by pre-processing text using Hadoop map-reduce and collecting data using web scraping. Genetic programming is used to perform association rule mining (ARM) before text classification to analyze big data patterns. The data used are articles from science-direct with the three keywords. This study aims to perform text classification with ARM-based data pattern analysis and data collection system through web-scraping, pre-processing using map-reduce, and text classification using genetic programming. Through web scraping, data has been collected by reducing duplicates as much as 17718. Map-reduce has tokenized and stopped-word removal with 36639 terms with 5189 unique terms and 31450 common terms. Evaluation of ARM with different amounts of multi-tree data can produce more and longer rules and better support. The multi-tree also produces more specific rules and better ARM performance than a single tree. Text classification evaluation shows that a single tree produces better accuracy (0.7042) than a decision tree (0.6892), and the lowest is a multi-tree(0.6754). The evaluation also shows that the ARM results are not in line with the classification results, where a multi-tree shows the best result (0.3904) from the decision tree (0.3588), and the lowest is a single tree (0.356).","PeriodicalId":32468,"journal":{"name":"JOIV International Journal on Informatics Visualization","volume":"75 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"90827299","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

There are 2 game modes, namely Third-Person Shooter, or TPS, and First-Person Shooter, or FPS. This study was carried out to highlight the absence of a shooter genre game used in the student learning process. The research methodology in the development of this game applied the pressman method, and the stages include planning, analysis, game development and artificial intelligence, implementation, as well as evaluation. Furthermore, the testing phase used software testing techniques based on the ISO 9126 standard and involved a total of 100 participants. The age range was between 17 and 20 years, while the participants' gender percentages were 55% male and 45% female. Some of the factors tested include functionality, reliability, portability, usability, efficiency, and maintainability. There were 2 choices only in this test, i.e. agree and disagree. The functionality factor had an agreed rate of 85%; reliability 79%, portability 86%, usability 83%, efficiency 79%, and maintainability 87%. Therefore, it was concluded that this game is suitable for use in student learning in the shooter genre. Furthermore, this research was inspired because shooter games have not been developed for the student learning process. Therefore, managing IT and its associated risks needs to consider specific industrial traits to understand the distinct business nature and regulations that shape IT-enabled business value creation. This study presents an in-depth analysis of business goals, IT processes, and IT risks in the case of a pharmaceutical company through which appropriate controls are designed to ensure business value creation through IT. Drawing on a case study of a pharmaceutical company in Indonesia, we found that managing IT risks in the pharmaceutical industry entails two main objectives: 1) ensuring compliance with external laws and regulations as well as internal policies, 2) supporting the optimization of business functions, processes, and costs. Throughout one year of engagement during the project, this study identified ten risks associated with the operation of business processes. Risks are dominated by moderate levels given the current state of controls and appetite, most of which emerge from the company’s existing internal processes. Internal actors are involved in all risks, with most events occurring due to laws and regulations. Further, the study designs and elaborates IT risk controls by drawing from COBIT 5 Seven Enablers. Overall, IT risk management through cascading processes of analysis ensures the alignment of IT risk controls with achieving business goals in the pharmaceutical industry.","PeriodicalId":32468,"journal":{"name":"JOIV International Journal on Informatics Visualization","volume":"48 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-05-08","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"88668991","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
