A survey was conducted on a sample of 225 primary school teachers in order to determine the following: (1) whether they use a literary text as a starting point in the integrative approach in teaching; (2) how they evaluate their methodological competence during institutionalized training for the application of the literary text as a starting point in the integrative approach; (3) did they undertake further professional trainings in terms of methodology in this area and, if so, in what ways did they do it; (4) how they assess their methodological competence for the application of the literary text in this function. The obtained results show that 38.2% of the primary school teachers regularly and 57.3% occasionally use a literary text as a starting point for the integrative approach and that they consider the preparation that requires greater engagement (68.0%) as the greatest difficulty in applying this approach. They also believe that during their university training they were partially qualified (50.2%) to apply the literary text as a starting point in the integrative approach, but that they had the opportunity (92.4%) to expand their methodological knowledge on this topic, most often through seminars (56.44%), and they estimate, in the largest percentage (53.8%), that they are competent enough to implement such an approach in practice. In the conclusions, the need for further research in this area is stressed and it is implied that methodological courses at teacher education and pedagogical faculties should be enriched with the content on integration.","PeriodicalId":32413,"journal":{"name":"Inovacije u Nastavi","volume":"100 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"71233967","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The development of the entrepreneurial orientation of the pre-service and in-service teachers, visible in action, is an important model for students. In this paper, the entrepreneurial orientation scale was used to examine this orientation of female students - future preschool and primary school teachers. The sample included 237 female students from three different faculties. It was established that female students assessed their own entrepreneurial orientation as moderate, although the degree of their conscious, declarative entrepreneurial orientation is relatively high. Proactivity is more emphasized than the other components, whereas competitiveness is the least emphasized component. The internal locus of control positively correlates with willingness to take risks and proactivity, but not with other components of entrepreneurial orientation. The structure and degree of entrepreneurial orientation of the female students of different educational professions, as well as of different years of study, are similar, which indicates the homogeneity of the population of the female students of educational professions in terms of this orientation, but also that it is necessary to enrich university entrepreneurial education as a factor of strengthening determination for entrepreneurial behavior.","PeriodicalId":32413,"journal":{"name":"Inovacije u Nastavi","volume":"13 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"71234289","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this reason, the course entitled \"Methodological Approach to the Theme of Death in Poetry for Children and Youth\" was launched at the Teacher Education Faculty in Belgrade. A short description of the course is given in the first part of this paper. The paper then elaborates on the research conducted within the course, the goal of which was to describe: 1) students' motivation for this course and 2) students' expectations regarding the course content. In addition, given that the target audience is important for the manner in which the content will be presented, we also examined the course participants': 3) conceptualization of death; 4) their experience related to death; 5) opinions regarding discussions about death with children; 6) knowledge of literary texts that deal with death. The method of verbal and visual associations and a questionnaire were used for data collection. Data analysis has shown that: 1) the course title is what motivates students the most to choose this course; 2) students are interested in children's attitudes about death, the way death is thematized in children's literature, as well as understanding the phenomenon of death in general; 3) the elements of metaphysical concept of death are prevalent among students; 4) the largest number of students has experienced the death of a family member, a friend, or a pet; 5) students think that children's age, experience related to death, interests, and cognitive maturity have to be taken into consideration when talking with children about death; 6) students are more familiar with the prose texts than poetry for children thematizing death.","PeriodicalId":32413,"journal":{"name":"Inovacije u Nastavi","volume":"22 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"134982285","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Studying information technology, computer science, or computer engineering in the post-digital era makes it very hard for students to disjoin personal technology needs, learning necessities, and future career demands, putting them at great risk for developing psychological disorders. The aim of this international comparative study is to examine the effects of interactive digital technology exposure on learning performance in computer graphics and simulations. To conduct a comparison of the 397 generation Z students from Greece and Serbia, a study was conducted evenly representing various geographic, economic, and socio-cultural environments. The research was realized between October 2021 and May 2022. The type of preferred gaming device was the most important digital technology exposure predictor of learning performance factors gain both in Greece and Serbia. Unexpectedly, digital gaming exposure and Internet gaming disorder were not significant predictors of academic success. The resulting model dually provides teachers with the opportunity to adapt their activities more efficiently and students with a self-diagnostic tool helping them to improve learning performance in the field of computer graphics and simulations more effectively.","PeriodicalId":32413,"journal":{"name":"Inovacije u Nastavi","volume":"23 4S 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"71233863","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The aim of the research was to determine the quality of teachers' motivational actions in teaching mathematics in the higher grades of elementary school. The research sample included 570 seventh-grade students. It was established that students evaluate the teachers' motivational actions in different ways. In addition, the results of the research revealed a statistically significant connection between students' evaluations of the teachers' motivational actions and the level of student achievement in mathematics. A higher degree of achievement was observed among the students who said that their mathematics teachers motivated them in different ways and developed their interest in learning mathematical content. On the other hand, a lower degree of achievement expressed in numerical grades was found among the students who stated that quality motivational models were not often represented in their mathematics classes.","PeriodicalId":32413,"journal":{"name":"Inovacije u Nastavi","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"71234237","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

A semi-structured group discussion was used as a data collection technique in our qualitative research. After the procedure of the semi-structured group discussion, the obtained data were categorized and analyzed. The results show that manga is a part of the authentic culture of the respondents in the period of early adolescence. The dialogue between the textual and images facilitates the construction of meaning and contributes to the development of the reading competence in students at the initial level of foreign language learning. Owing to the faithfulness of the figural representation and the semiotic functions of the specific animation style, manga readers are invited to recognize the emotions and cognitive processes of the characters, which puts the focus on affective factors and aesthetic competences, but also the use of reading strategies (global strategies, problem-solving strategies, and auxiliary strategies). Given that the meaning of the text and its interpretation derive from the image, the interpretation of the iconic elements is considered the first stage in learning to read, and visual narrative is a real need of today's visual generation.","PeriodicalId":32413,"journal":{"name":"Inovacije u Nastavi","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"71234023","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The sample was comprised of 494 students (females = 57.9%) divided into two school levels: 1) students in the final grades of primary school (53.8%); and 2) students in the first two grades of secondary school (46.2%). The results of the moderation analyses indicated that school level did not have a significant moderate influence on the tested relations in the context of socio-linguistic subjects, while it did in the context of science-mathematics subjects. The results of the simple slope tests indicated that the perceived structure support had a positive effect on the realization of intrinsic motivation, especially in the younger respondents, and that both perceived autonomy support and structure support displayed a negative association with amotivation in both age groups of students in the context of the science-mathematics subjects, but that these effects were stronger in the younger respondents. The results offer new insights into how teachers' motivational styles may influence different aspects of students' motivation to learn science-mathematics and socio-linguistics subjects in students at different school levels.","PeriodicalId":32413,"journal":{"name":"Inovacije u Nastavi","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"71234153","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We investigated the growth of teachers' competences that were highlighted by the online teaching, and looked into per sonal and school factors that stimulated or restricted this growth. Four domains of expected teacher growth were chosen: general digital competence, pedagogical-digital competence, competence for stu dent assessment, and competence for conducting inclusive practices. A total of 314 teachers filled out an online questionnaire and rated their pre-pandemic and current levels of 18 items describing skills, beliefs, and attitudes of the four selected domains. The instrument also included scales for measuring school-related (leadership, teacher autonomy, collaboration) and teacher-related variables (teacher self-efficacy, growth mindset, reflective practice). The results of the paired samples t-test showed that improvements of the competences were significant in all four domains, and the highest in the domain of pedagogical-digital competence. Partial correlations revealed that teacher-level variables were more important factors of the growth than school-related variables. Differences between the class and subject teachers were found. Recommendations are given in the direction of supporting the emerged good practices and maintaining of the developed competences in the post-pandemic era.","PeriodicalId":32413,"journal":{"name":"Inovacije u Nastavi","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"71234199","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The focus of dealing with literary texts in the eighth semester of the German language studies is, apart from their literary nature, primarily their socio-political impulses and influence on the transfer from the world of the text to the world around us. By comparing the two novels, The Navel of the World by Venko Andonovski and Dobri dani by Marko Dinić, and by means of their productive treatment in the classroom, we will see whether literary texts contribute to the development of the social-critical engagement of the recipients. Along with observing and defining the didactics of literature as an applied science and a part of the literary social system, qualitative scientific methodology was applied in this research. After the semi-structured group discussion procedure, the obtained data were analyzed and categorized. The research questions supported by theoretical postulates important for this paper arose from teaching practice, while methodological examples and research results bring it back to that practice.","PeriodicalId":32413,"journal":{"name":"Inovacije u Nastavi","volume":"3 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"71234047","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed activities on Padlet (oral presentation on a favorite Francophone song, destination, and film) were primarily aimed at determining possible phonetic-phonological and morpho-phonological students' mistakes in their oral presentation. The collected audio-corpus was analyzed using the perceptive and descriptive methods, where the teacher, after carefully listening to all the recordings, singled out the most common phonetic-phonological errors, which he/she would then point out to each student individually via electronic correspondence (in the form of a text and, if necessary, audio comments), followed by a unified analysis of the common mistakes and exercises based on the principle of the articulatory method of phonetic correction in synchronous online classes on Zoom. The analysis of the collected audio-corpus and the pedagogical implications of the obtained results are shown on the example of the typology of the most frequently observed mistakes in the production of nasal vowels (/ɑ͂/, /ɛ~/, /ɔ͂/).
