This study used amplitude-modulating technique for an array of 8 ultrasonic transducers to produce directional audible sound beam. In this study sound field distribution for the directional audible sound beam has been investigated. The effect of different weightings varied with different frequency for the transducers on the directivity of the sound beam has also been evaluated. An H (infinity) optimization method was used to calculate the optimal weightings of the transducers for better directivity of the sound beam. Different optimal weightings also added to the carrier and sideband frequencies to control the difference frequency’s beamwidth and sidelobe amplitude. The results showed that the beam width can be controlled and good directivity of the sound beam can be obtained by using the H_8 optimization method.","PeriodicalId":323606,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advanced Research in Artificial Intelligence","volume":"23 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121945764","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The growth of computational engineering, artificial intelligence and pattern recognition fields owes greatly to one of the highly challenged problem of handwriting identification. This paper proposes the computational intelligence technique to develop discriminative model for writer identification based on handwritten documents. Scanned images of handwritten documents are segmented into words and these words are further segmented into characters for word level and character level writer identification. A set of features are extracted from the segmented words and characters. Feature vectors are trained using support vector machine and obtained 94.27% accuracy for word level, 90.10% for character level. An interactive tool has been developed based on the word level writer identification model.","PeriodicalId":323606,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advanced Research in Artificial Intelligence","volume":"105 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"114976246","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This parsing approach uses memoization and ensures a guarantee of linear parse time by avoiding redundant function calls by using memoization. This paper studies the progress made in packrat parsing till date and discusses the approaches to tackle this parsing process efficiently. In addition to this, other issues such as left recursion, error reporting also seems to be associated with this type of parsing approach and discussed here the efforts attempted by researchers to address this issue. For competitive neurons, contradiction\u0000between self-evaluation (individuality) and outer-evaluation (collectivity)\u0000exists, which is reduced to realize the self-organizing\u0000maps. For input neurons, there exists contradiction between the\u0000use of many and few input neurons. We try to realize a situation\u0000where as many input neurons as possible are used, and at the\u0000same time, another where only a few input neurons are used. This\u0000contradictory situation can be resolved by viewing input neurons\u0000on different levels, namely, the individual and average level. Knowledge engineers capture expert knowledge and encode it as a set of rules for automating the expert’s reasoning process to solve problems in a variety of domains. We describe the development of a knowledge-based system approach to enhance program comprehension of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) software. Our approach uses rule-based methods to automate the analysis of the set of artifacts involved in building and deploying a SOA composite application. The rules codify expert knowledge to abstract information from these artifacts to facilitate program comprehension and thus assist Software Engineers as they perform system maintenance activities. A main advantage of the knowledge-based approach is its adaptability to the heterogeneous and dynamically evolving nature of SOA environments.","PeriodicalId":323606,"journal":{"name":"International Journal of Advanced Research in Artificial Intelligence","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"1900-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131305272","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
