The study was conducted at Luna Dian Setya's painting studio, Jl. Jayawijaya 55 Mojosongo Jebres Surakarta in April July 2018 using qualitative methods. The data sources used informants, places and events, and documents. The data collection techniques used observation and in-depth interviews. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The data validity used source triangulation and informant review. And the data analysis techniques applied the flowing model. The results of the study can be explained that Luna Dian Setya does create her art products in a contemporary society that provides space for freedom in interpreting every reality of life. The atmosphere of popular culture that Luna lived in, formed her view of female figures that were often used as subject matters in paintings. She presents various images of women as an effort to express her views and beliefs about women. The images presented include women who are gentle, calm, motherly, sometimes also the image of women who are strong, powerful, lost, and submissive. Reading literacy can measure aspects of understanding, using, and reflecting. Literacy education in Indonesia is required to develop Higer Order Thinking Skills, which include analytical, synthesis, evaluative, critical, imaginative and creative abilities. The existence of the School Literacy Movement is a national program from the Ministry of Education and Culture to improve learning, unfortunately this has not been implemented maximally. Because of this explanation, the purpose of this study was to determine the effect of students' literacy on the results of product design concepts based on the factors driving the literacy culture. This research is a qualitative and quantitative research mix. The results of literacy research have a strong influence on the product design concept, therefore literacy needs to be developed and maintained and facilities are needed. This study was a descriptive qualitative research using hermeneutic approach method. Data source employed was library data, tembang macapat Sinom text in serat Kidung Kandhasanyata by Nyi Bei Mardusari. Technique of collecting data used were reading and recording. Data analysis was conducted using the following stages: (1) translating the text of tembang, (2) revealing the meaning of tembang, and (3) interpreting the meaning in relation to character education values. The result of research showed the meaning contained in tembang macapat Sinom Kidung Kandhasanyata and its relevance to character education. It is a qualitative study. The subjects were adult women at age of 25-35 years. The purposes of the research are: (1) to describe the directive speech acts applied by the adult women when communicating in facebook, (2) to identify different kinds of directive speech acts used by the adult women in facebook, (3) to describe the positive politeness stategy applied by the adult women in communicating on facebook. The data were collected through observation, interview, and documentation. The primary data are the utterances of the adult women when up dating status and commenting on facebook. The design of this study is content analysis. The data were analyzed by Simak, Libat, Cakap instrument. The data were read and analyzed to describe the directive speech act based on Kreidler's theory. Then they were identified as the function of the utterance. Next, they were identified the politeness strategy by guided Brown and Levinson Theory. To dig more information the researcher participates in facebook activities such as commenting and giving the emoticon. Moreover, the interview was also conducted to achieve the goal of the research. Credibility test was done through extended observation and member checks.
