By employing the Profile of Coping Dimensions in Children (PCDC), this study categorises coping strategies into adaptive and maladaptive coping and focuses on patterns of these two coping styles among children aged 7-11. Results suggest that with the crisis of COVID-19, adaptive coping is still a significant protective factor for children wellbeing in terms of anxiety, life satisfaction and childhood happiness. On the other hand, maladaptive coping leads to significantly higher anxiety, lower life satisfaction and lower childhood happiness. Additionally, this study differs from previous literature and indicates that there are no significant gender differences found in terms of children’s wellbeing. Although girls still report to be significantly more likely to adopt maladaptive coping strategies than boys, there are no significant gender differences found regarding the endorsement of adaptive coping strategies.","PeriodicalId":322451,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Research in Social Science and Humanities","volume":"67 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125894526","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With the ultra-rich amassing unprecedented wealth, especially during the pandemic, the question arises: Would banning billionaires serve as an antidote to escalating wealth inequality? Drawing on varied ideological perspectives, this paper scrutinizes the reasons underpinning the desire to ban billionaires and the rationale for their continued existence. By analyzing the potential outcomes of such a ban, both positive and negative, the discourse highlights the intricacies of the issue. The essay concludes by presenting alternatives to an outright ban, suggesting a multifaceted approach to achieving a more equitable economic environment.","PeriodicalId":322451,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Research in Social Science and Humanities","volume":"53 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132938081","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Two of the most significant obstacles are securing financial resources and gaining access to technology and the market. Implementing sanctions against target countries indicates that economic sanctions have failed to improve the human rights situation and exacerbated it. One of the main levers of economic sanctions is restricting access to economic resources, the most important of which is international trade. The imposition of sanctions against Iran has caused a fundamental disruption in the global economic system. This disruption is now evident in the form of high financial costs and a lack of access to a reliable market for product sales, deepening the technological gap and cheap access to the resulting benefits. This research examines the impact of lifting sanctions and the post-JCPOA era on Iran’s economy.","PeriodicalId":322451,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Research in Social Science and Humanities","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117269447","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Advertising is a type of appealing text that plays an important role in promoting products, attracting consumers, and establishing brand image. Among a large number of transnational corporations, the English-to-Chinese translation of the advertising text of Apple Inc. has distinctive characteristics, and the “Apple-style Chinese” has played a unique role in boosting its product sales and brand image. From the perspective of German Skopos Theory, this thesis first summarizes the evaluation criteria of advertising translation, then conducts a specific analysis of Apple’s advertising translation, and finally proposes some strategies for advertising translation in order to provide a variety of experiences for more multinational corporations.","PeriodicalId":322451,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Research in Social Science and Humanities","volume":"40 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122568774","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The author used superb writing skills to showcase the protagonist’s almost crazy inner world. In recent years, research on this drama has mostly focused on perspectives such as tragedy, loss of value, and the disillusionment of the American Dream, with few people conducting research and analysis from the perspective of trauma theory. This article will be based on trauma theory to explore the true cause of Willie Lohmann’s death from conflict, disorder, and failed repair which are the three general laws in the development of trauma.","PeriodicalId":322451,"journal":{"name":"Journal of Research in Social Science and Humanities","volume":"36 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2023-08-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124925401","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
