That is what led to theoretical attitudes, on the basis of which the questions were formulated in the survey questionnaires. Two questionnaires were made, one of which referred to the attitudes of citizens, and the other one to the attitudes of police officers about social isolation of police officers. The total of 100 citizens of Sremska Mitrovica and 100 police officers of the Police Administration in Sremska Mitrovica were surveyed. Rakić","doi":"10.5937/socpreg55-34110","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.5937/socpreg55-34110","url":null,"abstract":"Stating that social action aimed at achieving a higher degree of equality between men and women is necessary and useful, the author questions the validity of the approach in the recently adopted Law on Gender Equality that tries to establish gender equality, among other things, by forced intervention in the language sphere, through imposing the application of the so-called \"gender-sensitive language\". Despite the fact that such an approach could hardly contribute to actual equality, this forced intervention in the language sphere is the violation of the language as a segment of intangible cultural heritage, which is contrary to the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia and a number of international acts. Today, in more than 150 countries around the world, geographical indications are in the service of guaranteeing quality, origin, method of production, often tradition and, finally, product safety. The authors point out the changes in consumer behaviour, the change in the propensity to consume products that are differentiated on the market by different forms of marking and certification, and the willingness to pay for the same products at premium prices. Additional labels have imposed themselves as the main means of valorizing products on the market. The authors point out the potential of Serbian agriculture and give recommendations to the legislator, but also to other competent institutions, in order to improve position of the overall national economy. Ecological, agriculture, based on the principles of non-GMO impurities, with a clear commitment to the integral principles of land cultivation represents the greatest potential of our country. Additional state measures that would support better education and improvement of the position of farmers, with careful strategic planning of agriculture on the already mentioned principles, would make it an accelerator of the overall economic development. The empirical findings were obtained by surveying 43 employees in the social work centres in the Srem administrative district, who act in cases of domestic violence. After data collection, they had to be organized, so the statistical method of descriptive statistics was applied and for that purpose, the statistical software package SPSS was used (ver. 20). It draws from ideas in Afrocentrism to evaluate local community leaders' response to the pandemic during the first 65 days of the South African COVID-19 lockdown. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews of both local leaders of the village and the local Municipality's COVID-19 response team. The study found that no significant progress in the fight against the COVID-19 would have been made if the national strategy to combat the virus had not been adapted to the local situation by local leadership. Čović","doi":"10.5937/socpreg55-32553","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.5937/socpreg55-32553","url":null,"abstract":"In the light of the announced adoption of the Law on Same-Sex Unions, the question arises whether the draft law is in accordance with the Constitution, especially after the announcements that the law will not be signed. Although the Constitution specifies that marriage is a union of a man and a woman, experts point out that in this case it is not a law on marriage and family, nor does it provide for the possibility of adoption of children by same-sex couples, but that it regulates property, health, pension and other legal relationships of same-sex partners living in the union. At the same time, many public figures have invited traditional religious communities to react in order to defend the \"right to freedom and future of the people\", emphasizing that contentious issues related to the regulation of mutual rights and obligations of same-sex couples could be resolved by amending the existing laws in those areas. In the countries where similar laws exist, case law has played a significant role, just as various medical and psychological associations. The European case law is not uniform, and cases often end before the European Court of Human Rights, while in the United States at the federal level, all anti-homosexual laws are repealed by a Supreme Court decision (Lawrence v. Texas, 539 U.S. 558 [2003]). Nevertheless, there is no single law in this area and the rights of same-sex couples vary from country to country.
