However, for deep water communication, acoustic waves are preferred to electromagnetic waves as acoustic waves are capable of propagating through compressions and rarefactions. Moreover, acoustic waves require high power for underwater transmissions. Radio waves have a different mechanism of propagation than acoustic waves. Also, radio waves have higher data rate underwater than acoustics. This leads to low power usage by underwater sensors. Therefore, radio frequency electromagnetic waves can be employed to address constrained battery life issue in underwater wireless sensor networks. Attenuation loss in seawater depends on temperature and salinity of the wireless medium and frequency of propagating radio signal. Temperature and salinity both changes with variation in depth. This leads to lower attenuation of radio waves in deep water as compared to shallow water. Our research analytically establishes the fact that radio waves are suitable for deep water communications by using acoustics as a complementary technology. In this paper, an extensive study of path loss analysis is provided for radio waves in case of shallow and deep water sensor networks.","PeriodicalId":322178,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Computing and Communication Technologies for Smart Nation (IC3TSN)","volume":"189 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122475039","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main idea behind the work is to minimize the steps of iteration for clustering the data so that desired information can be obtained in lesser amount of time. The methodology being employed is genetic algorithm which reduces the number of steps. It has been found out that by using GA the steps are reduced with respect to normal k-means technique. The quick reaction of the AC microgrid during an islanding operation is required in order to maintain the overall system stability. The different kinds of stabilizers are used to analysis the behaviour of Grid connected AC-microgrid. The conventional Power System Stabilizers (CPSS) work admirably at the specific system conditions for which they were designed. When the condition changes due to load changes, the performance degrades. This can be overcome by a shrewd nonlinear PSS in view of fuzzy logic. The Fuzzy Logic based Power System Stabilizer (FLPSSs) impact on the power system damping is then compared with CPSS and multiband PSS (MB-PSS). The outcomes exhibit an enhanced system execution with the FLPSS. The transient recreation in this paper is finished utilizing MATLAB /SIMULINK.","PeriodicalId":322178,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Computing and Communication Technologies for Smart Nation (IC3TSN)","volume":"56 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116839504","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These parameters are in trade off to each other. This paper focusses on the leakage current, power and stability in 9T SRAM bit-cell. In the proposed and modified 9T SRAM bit-cell works as a sleep transistor. As power is proportional to V2dd [1], the power is reduced by 32.3%. There is a significant reduction of 59.3% of leakage current. The stability parameter SNM is calculated which shows that stability is increased by 18.9%. The static power is also reduced by 98.7% because of the stacking of PMOS, PMOS and NMOS transistors. The 9T SRAM cell with sleep transistor is compared with conventional 6T SRAM cell. The simulations are done using Cadence Virtuoso tool with gpdk 45nm CMOS process technology at 0.6V, 0.7V and 0.8V power supplies.","PeriodicalId":322178,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Computing and Communication Technologies for Smart Nation (IC3TSN)","volume":"82 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124889389","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This antenna is fabricated with the help of etching process. This process will generate the patterns related to antennas which will be having lesser size and it will be joined together with metal trace which will be placed on an insulating surface made up of dielectric material. For forming the ground plane on the any side which we want, we will use a metal layer having continuity and it will be bonded with substrate material. Microstrip antenna has square, rectangular, circular, elliptical and annular ring which are general shapes. In this research we have studied the effect of antenna dimensions which includes antenna Length (L) and Dielectric constant which will play an important role while studying the Radiation parameters related to Bandwidth and Return Loss[5][6]. For this purpose, CST platform has been used. The frequency band 2–4 GHz is assigned as S band which is used in the applications such as satellite, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular phones etc. The proposed method has been applied on the square Microstrip patch antenna and annular ring microstrip patch antenna and conclusions have been drawn on the frequency of 3.055 GHz on which both the antenna has been tuned. The results have been shown for the antenna in simulated manner as well as practical results.","PeriodicalId":322178,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Computing and Communication Technologies for Smart Nation (IC3TSN)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130502195","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The workflow scheduling deals with mapping of tasks on the available resources while maintaining the precedence constraints and guaranteeing Quality-of-Service requirements and fairness in execution of workflow. Numerous workflow scheduling schemes have been presented by authors in the past. In this paper, we are providing the comprehensive survey of workflow scheduling techniques by classifying them based upon the workflow structures, scheduling criteria's, scheduling strategies in heterogeneous systems. We classified workflow-scheduling structures as DAG and Non-DAG structures, scheduling criteria's on the basis of performance driven, market driven and trust driven, workflow-scheduling strategies into Heuristic, Meta-Heuristic and Hybrid scheduling. We also considered the scheduling issues in various other fields of engineering; Hadoop Based, Map-Reduce Based, Agent Based. A comparative analysis of each scheduling algorithm is highlighted through their objectives, algorithm proposed, properties and environment in tabular form. The survey results are used to identify workflow scheduling approaches and the areas that need further research.","PeriodicalId":322178,"journal":{"name":"2017 International Conference on Computing and Communication Technologies for Smart Nation (IC3TSN)","volume":"4 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2017-10-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129753558","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The motive is to help users to exchange context based information anytime anywhere without Internet connectivity using infrastructure-less Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANets). The application ComFree has been successfully implemented and tested using different smart phones. The concept of dynamic mobility is also supported in ad-hoc networks as nodes constantly move from one place to another and any node can join the network and can also leave at any time. At the same time these nodes can act as host/router or both. The application can be installed on mobile devices and a network can be set up on the fly like in a meeting or a conference. Such a network also has applications wherein users like rescue workers and victims can communicate in scenarios when communication network or regular infrastructure has been destroyed to a large extent due to natural disasters. First literature review is carried out with the introduction of significance of power-flow study and reconfiguration to understand the voltage-limits from the source to the load point. Then important few 17th wiring regulations discussed during the design of current capacity calculations of conductors for the fixed and varying environmental temperature. Further, the earthing techniques of are analyzed to avoid from electric shock. According to IET regulations, design current (Ib), nominal current (In), perspective current (Iz), short circuit current (Isc) and percentage voltage drop are calculated for the 2-core, “clipped direct” grouped cabling system. The results and discussions are found useful to set the “time of operation” of MCB fuse, which help to protect from electric shock. The, sizes of clipped detect conductors are mapped with opted desert temperature conditions such as 34 0C, 44 0C and 54 0C around the cable using standard wiring regulations. According to the temperate variation, it is found that the significant variation in the conductor size of cables and grouping of cable on wall and wall with thermal insulation of used to connect from source to load.
