In the proposed research, a quadrant based zonal design methodology is adopted to reduce energy consumption of nodes in sensing field using the protocol named “Quadrant based position responsive protocol” (QPRP). QPRP is framed to reduce Energy consumption of each sensor node in sensing field by 1) having a quadrant-based cluster design to forward data to quadrant head and 2) reducing the average distance from quadrant head to Base station or sink node. The performance of proposed QPRP is analysed in terms of average energy consumed per packet with the pre-existing protocols named ES3 (Efficient Sink selection scheme) (Modified ETSP (Energy efficient tree based self-organizing Protocol) and PRRP (Position Responsive Routing Protocol). The result proved the proposed QPRP is energy efficient and increases the lifetime of the Sensor Network.","PeriodicalId":321652,"journal":{"name":"2019 2nd International Conference on Signal Processing and Communication (ICSPC)","volume":"6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131490099","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

As agriculture is given higher priority in the life of an economy so for the better agricultural growth, water is essential factor. Lack of enough water and excess of water leads to damage of plants. So we need an effective and efficient technology for better farming. Thus, the usage of a low cost arduino based automatic irrigation system using soil moisture sensor is expected to be useful to for the irrigation process in agriculture. This system requires an Arduino-UNO which contains ADC converter in it. A soil moisture sensor is the main component in this system which is used to measure the conditions of the soil like whether the soil is dry or wet. For displaying the conditions of the soil, 16×2 LCD display is the better choice to display and at last a motor is used to pump the water to the plant or crops.","PeriodicalId":321652,"journal":{"name":"2019 2nd International Conference on Signal Processing and Communication (ICSPC)","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124799514","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The opted frequency range is 2.4GHz. Wearable computing(textile antennas) is a fast growing field in application-oriented research. For connecting a wearable system to a wireless personal area network(WPAN), the use of purely textile antennas that guarantee flexible and comfortable embedding into clothing is proposed. A wearable computer is always ON, does not restrict the user's activities and is aware of the user's situation Software used to design this antenna is HFSS (High-Frequency Structure Simulator). This paper involves the design of the textile patch antenna and the required dimensions for obtaining the mentioned frequency of 2.4GHz at −32.5dB. The substrate used here is polyester. The port is a lumped port which provided to the feed. Perfect E is the boundary assigned to ground and the patch. The gain was found to be 2.2646dB. The VWSR was found to be 420 at 1GHz. An efficiency of 99.99% was obtained.","PeriodicalId":321652,"journal":{"name":"2019 2nd International Conference on Signal Processing and Communication (ICSPC)","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127207164","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With the constant evolution in hardware technology, it is difficult to cope up with the high levels of visual fidelity and performance that is expected of this medium. Procedural Content Generation is a very good alternative to manual content creation but still has seen very limited usage. Common drawbacks of this process are the lack of control over the output & and the absence of a unifying modeling framework to make use of these techniques, although more recent research has been aimed towards tackling this problem. This paper surveys the various properties of procedural terrain modeling techniques (which are: Random Number Generator, Perlin Noise, Voronoi Tessellation and Midpoint Displacement), assess the authenticity of the output and the control a user can exert over the procedure.","PeriodicalId":321652,"journal":{"name":"2019 2nd International Conference on Signal Processing and Communication (ICSPC)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"121829205","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The major advantage of using these networks is that it does not rely on existing infrastructure for communicating between its nodes. Generally, these networks on the basis of deployment scenario of nodes are classified as MANET, VANET, and FANET. However, a similar concept of these wireless ad-hoc mobile networks can also be applied in underwater based applications, where a group of mobile nodes, submerged in water, forming a wireless ad-hoc network, are deployed to coordinate and communicate themselves, to carry out useful tasks. A major portion of the sea is unexplored till today and these networks could be of high advantage and have huge potential in surveillance, monitoring, military, geological activity, marine life monitoring, and many others. However, less work has been done in this area. The objective of the paper is to highlights the advantages, issues, challenges, in building such a realistic system. Moreover different applications scenario, future perspective has been proposed where these networks would be highly useful.","PeriodicalId":321652,"journal":{"name":"2019 2nd International Conference on Signal Processing and Communication (ICSPC)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128754493","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study proves that under the stationary condition of the subject, the proposed design of silver-plated nylon woven (SiPNyW) textile electrode has the capability of recording ECG signal which is comparable with that obtainable by a traditional Ag/AgCl gel electrodes with better signal quality. A SiPNyW based textile electrode belt with Lead-I configuration was used to record ECGs and signal quality was assessed in terms of visual identification of peaks, Skin-Electrode contact impedance, Power Spectral Density (PSD), Signal to Noise ratio (SNR), peak-peak amplitude, Root Mean Square (RMS) value, RR variation and HR Variation. In this study, healthy Indian volunteers with n=147 of age 18–45 years have participated for HRV analysis. The results have shown that the quality of ECG signal acquired by textile electrodes was quite comparable with that of Ag/AgCl disposable electrodes. The standard deviation of heart rate (HR) and R-R interval (RR) was less in 31–45 age group compared to that of 18–30 age group. For the age group 18–30, max percentage error in HR and R-R interval was found to be less than 18% and 17% respectively. For the age group 31–45, the max percentage error in HR and the R-R interval was found to be below 8%. It can be concluded that the proposed textile electrodes belt can be used for the recording of ECG signals under resource constrained settings.","PeriodicalId":321652,"journal":{"name":"2019 2nd International Conference on Signal Processing and Communication (ICSPC)","volume":"66 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2019-03-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133378808","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
