Firstly, a mapping model of load and unit status is established through deep learning (DL). The historical data of load and solution are selected as the data set. Next, dual-threshold is introduced to judge the on/off state of the unit. In the new load scenario, the states of some units are determined by the mapping model. Simultaneously, as heuristic knowledge, the determined unit states are written into the original SCUC model. And the status and output of the remaining units are obtained through the solver. Finally, the IEEE-RTS96 test case is used as the experimental simulation platform. The cost and solution efficiency of MIP and HKMIP are compared. The results show that the model can significantly accelerate the solution efficiency while ensuring a high-quality solution, which verifies the feasibility and effectiveness of the discussed method.","PeriodicalId":321188,"journal":{"name":"2020 4th International Conference on Power and Energy Engineering (ICPEE)","volume":"21 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123774154","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With the advancements in wind technology, researchers develop adequate methods and algorithms to control and to make it an efficient and reliable source of energy. Their main goal is to tackle the limitations and issues of double fed induction generators (DFIG) by introducing robust controls. This research work presents a steady state model and detailed analysis of pitch-regulated variable speed DFIG based wind turbines. Two magnetizing strategies in stator flux-oriented vector control are discussed. Steady state performance of DFIG is achieved by magnetization of stator and rotor. Simulation results indicate that magnetization of DFIG through stator requires a higher stator current and a smaller rotor current than that required for rotor-based magnetization. Moreover, it is found that magnetization through stator implies better efficiency and lesser power loss as compared to the DFIG magnetized through the rotor.","PeriodicalId":321188,"journal":{"name":"2020 4th International Conference on Power and Energy Engineering (ICPEE)","volume":"47 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115569656","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study is performed by using a low magnetic Reynolds number magnetohydrodynamic model under the effect of a uniform magnetic field and a non-uniform magnetic field, respectively. With the increase of the applied potential, the channel under both types of magnetic fields show an increase in thrust and a decrease in electrical efficiency. For a fixed applied potential, the thrust under the non-uniform magnetic field is higher compared with one generated by the uniform magnetic field. This deviation becomes more pronounced under a larger conductivity or magnet field strength. However, the increase in potential has negligible effect on the difference in the thrust. With the magnetic field at 1.5 T and the potential at 600 V, the channel thrust under the uniform magnetic field is 883.9 N, which makes the increase rate of 47.6%. With the maximum magnetic field strength in the Z direction at 1.5 T and the potential at 600 V, the channel thrust under the non-uniform magnetic field is 885.37 N, which makes the increase rate of 47.9%.","PeriodicalId":321188,"journal":{"name":"2020 4th International Conference on Power and Energy Engineering (ICPEE)","volume":"1 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-11-19","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"129686826","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Different from the generation and transmission market, the retail market is more open to the participators, and has more competition and higher risk. Considering the risk factors e.g. the business scale, the capital, the employee, and the complaints, an optimization model to reduce the risk of the ERCs and ERM with higher predicted risk is newly proposed in this paper, where the risk factors are normalized by the threshold value and the time before quantifying the risk.
