The FE analysis method uses the frozen permeability technique, which allows the user to accurately determine the relevant model parameters by including the effects of saturation and cross-coupling. Moreover, the proposed analysis method accurately predicts the zero-sequence (3rd harmonic) and higher-order harmonic induced voltages and currents which are present in magnetic couplings. It is found that the zero-sequence and higher-order harmonic currents contribute to the net-torque of the magnetic coupling and their effects are more prevalent at low loads. The method is verified by means of comparing its results to those obtained from a commercial transient FE (T-FE) package. The S-FE method solutions are verified over a wide slip range, and are shown to be significantly less computationally time intensive compared to the T-FE package.","PeriodicalId":32117,"journal":{"name":"Bioma","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85291934","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study presented here compares the characteristics of the motor under nominal and flux–weakening operations in different operating conditions such as healthy, half control, and post-fault conditions. The post-fault characteristics are analyzed under open-circuit faults of a three-phase system and short-circuit faults of a three-phase system. All the results are validated by experimental tests.","PeriodicalId":32117,"journal":{"name":"Bioma","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"77709175","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

For this problem, a new amplitude model predictive current control (AMPCC) method based on the voltage amplitude in rotating coordinate reference system is proposed in this paper. By analyzing the motor's voltage model under rotating coordinate reference system, a suitable dynamic range of dq-axis voltage amplitude is designed for cost function. According to this range, the amplitude dynamic control set of prediction model is designed, and the optimal solution is selected by iterative method. The optimal vector is synthesized based on the real rotor position and optimal amplitude, so phase error of it is relatively small. And the dynamic amplitude range can reduce amplitude error, and thus a significant suppression of current ripple and prediction error. Meanwhile, the triangular function's avoidance in iterative calculation makes the algorithm compute less complex. Finally, this method is proved that it effectively reduces the current harmonics of the motor and improves the steady-state performance by building experimental verification.","PeriodicalId":32117,"journal":{"name":"Bioma","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"89916780","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The topology is derived from the classical tapped inductor boost converter by combining it with the hybrid switched inductor converter. Apart from the high voltage conversion ratio, the proposed topology can obtain soft-switching conditions and recycle the energy of leakage inductance through a voltage clamp circuit, resulting in a higher efficiency. On the cut off period of the rectifier diodes ZCS is achieved, which mitigates the reverse recovery process of the diodes. The main switch of the converter operates in ZCS at the turn on moment, resulting in lower switching losses. The operation principle, the states and the steady-state analysis of the converter are presented. A HSIM prototype was build and tested to verify the theoretical analysis. Preliminary simulation and experimental results are given which prove that the novel proposed topology is a possible candidate for high gain dc-dc conversion.","PeriodicalId":32117,"journal":{"name":"Bioma","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"85832262","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

An innovation-based adaptive extended Kalman filter (IAEKF) estimator in which the process noise is dynamically updated with an adaptive mechanism different from the conventional extended Kalman filter (EKF) is designed to estimate stator resistance with αβ- stator stationary axis components of stator current and αβ- components of stator flux of an IM. The reason for estimating the stator flux and stator current together with the stator resistance is to both increase the stability of the proposed estimator algorithm by using the correlation between the parameters and states in the non-linear inputs applied to the estimator and obtain the motor flux information needed by the control system. In the proposed IAEKF algorithm, a stator flux-based IM model is used for prediction purposes. The standstill estimation performance of the proposed novel IAEKF is tested with both sinusoidal and PWM power supplies, The real-time estimation results show the effectiveness and prediction accuracy of the proposed stochastic-based estimator.","PeriodicalId":32117,"journal":{"name":"Bioma","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"83403464","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The proposed reluctance-based machine is a magnet-less machine which makes the compressor unit low cost as well as allows for higher operating temperatures. The rotor of the proposed integrated machine has poles shaped like airfoils, functioning as both a rotor of the motor as well as an axial fan. It can rotate to draw air into the rotor and accelerate the flow through the rotor stage. The high-speed flow provides forced convection to the rotor, stator, windings, and magnets. In this work, the high-speed performance of the motor as well as the characterization of motor parameters are evaluated by finite element analysis (FEA).","PeriodicalId":32117,"journal":{"name":"Bioma","volume":null,"pages":null},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2021-09-02","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"86467971","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on the TLBC mathematical average model, a nonlinear controller using backstepping approach is designed in order to overcome the converter complexity, varying time and nonlinearity. A backstepping control law is determined based on a recursive and systematic design method by two strategy: (i) direct output voltage control and (ii) indirect output voltage control. Besides, the TLBC stability is proved using Lyapunov function criterions. Finally, a variable step and sinusoidal signal in the reference voltage used to validate the establish controller in the Matlab/Simulink software.
