Abstract

Soil measurements are important for agriculture as improper conditions can generate important losses. This paper presents a new IoT based system, created to monitor some important parameters for soil, such as solar illumination, air temperature, air humidity, soil humidity, soil pH, and total salt content. Measurements are performed using several microcontrollers, connected to each other, status information being generated, available on the cloud. In this respect, the goal of the proposed device is to perform useful measurements for agriculture applications and provide instruments to take the proper actions.
