This fish is unique as an endemic species with a halfbeak-like jaw and orange color on the caudal fin. However, this fish culture information needs a further information. Based on this condition, it is necessary to conduct a study as a basis for ornamental fish breeding and growing-out activities through domestication. A crucial problem in this fish is larval rearing, which can be observed through ontogeny studies. The study was conducted on the newly-born larval behavior, morphological development, andropodium development, growth, and survival rate at the early stages, namely larvae to juvenile. The results showed that the newly-born larvae of Nomorhamphus sp. Lindu had a total length of 1.6-1.8 cm. Larvae could swim four hours 22 minutes after birth and feed artemia nauplii with surface feeding type. The initial juvenile stage occurred 25 days of post-birth period with a total length of 2.0-2.2 cm. The water condition of the rearing during the study could support the larval transformation to juvenile. This study is the first report related to the aquaculture success of the early life stage of Nomorhamphus sp. Lindu at the domestication stage. Penelitian ini merupakan catatan pertama terkait keberhasilan budidaya stadia awal hidup Nomorhamphus sp. Microscopic anatomical pathology of each bacterium needs to be done to determine its pathogenicity. This study aims to compare the degree of damage to sea bass juveniles' liver and kidney organs through histopathological observations due to bacterial infections that cause BBS. The degree of histopathological damage was determined by scoring histopathological changes in the tissue under a microscope with a magnification of 40×10 in five fields of view. The data obtained were analyzed using SPSS 24 software and further tested with Kruskal-Wallis and Post Hoc (Mann Whitney). The results showed that fish liver and kidney organs in all treatments experienced necrosis compared to the control treatment, but not significantly different between bacterial infection treatments. Increasing the eel productivity can be done by increasing the stocking density, that should be balanced with good environmental and feed management. This study aimed to analyze the production and business performance of fingerlings in a recirculation system to increase the eel survival and growth rate. The study used a completely randomized design with three different stocking densities, namely 4 g/L (A), 5 g/L (B), and 6 g/L (C). The average weight of each fingerling was 20 ± 4.09 g, that was kept in a 1.5-m3 pond with a recirculation system. Feeding was performed two times a day using commercial feed with probiotic supplementation. The results showed that different stocking densities significantly affected feed conversion ratio, total biomass weight, and coefficient of variance. However, different stocking densities had no significant effect on survival rate, absolute weight growth rate, specific weight growth rate, and condition factor. The C treatment obtained the highest profit with an R/C ratio of 1.20 ± 0.03. The best production and cultivation performance of eel fingerling in a recirculation system with different stocking densities is found in treatment C (6 g/L). \u0000 \u0000Keywords: Anguilla bicolor, business performance, production performance, recirculation system, stocking density \u0000 \u0000ABSTRAK \u0000 \u0000Budidaya ikan sidat (Anguilla bicolor) pada segmen pembesaran memerlukan benih yang baik khususnya untuk benih fingerling. Therefore, it is necessary to do a research to overcome these problems by determining the carrying capacity of aquaculture and evaluating the trophic status of the waters. However, the people affected by the dam construction still maintain it for their economic reasons. Determination of the carrying capacity of fish farming in the Jatigede Reservoir was conducted using the Beveridge method by calculating the remaining phosphorus still available in the Jatigede Reservoir and evaluating the trophic state index based on three indicators: transparency, total phosphorus, and chlorophyll-a. The sampling was carried out by purposive sampling method. This study evaluates the prebiotic activity and the effect of feed supplementation of dayak onion simplicia powder (DOSP) on the immune response and survival of catfish infected with A. hydrophila. Five doses (0.20, 0.25, 0.30, 0.35, and 0.40 g/mL) of DOSP were tested in vitro to assess the prebiotic activity score. The results showed that a dose of 0.20 g/mL gave a significantly (P<0.05) higher probiotic stimulation value than other doses. In the in vivo test, the study used a completely randomized design with five treatments, namely simplicia (DOSP 20 g/kg), probiotic (PRO, Bacillus sp. NP5 108 CFU/mL, 1% v/w), combination (PRO+DOSP), and control (positive and negative). Fish were reared for 45 days and fed three times a day. On day 46, fish from all treatments, except negative control, were infected with an A. hydrophila dose of 106 CFU/mL injected intramuscularly. The results showed that the combination treatment (PRO+DOSP) gave better total erythrocytes, hemoglobin, hematocrit, total leukocytes and phagocytosis activity than probiotics, DOSP, and control. Administering the combination (PRO+DOSP) can reduce the total number of A. hydrophila lower than the probiotic, DOSP, and control treatments. In addition, the survival rate of catfish in the combined treatment (PRO+DOSP) was significantly (P<0.05) higher than probiotics, DOSP, and control. Due to the severe impact of both viruses, a robust diagnostic tool was required, capable of detecting and distinguishing both infections with high accuracy and precision. The aim of this study was to describe a real-time duplex TaqMan PCR assay for simultaneous detection of KHV and CEV in common carp and koi. Two pairs of primers with two TaqMan probes were used to amplify specific and conserved regions of KHV and CEV DNA. This assay was confirmed to be sensitive and specific. Limit of detections of the assay were 15 DNA copies/µL for KHV and 150 DNA copies/µL for CEV, respectively. This assay was able to identify and distinguish CEV and KHV, but was unable to identify other pathogens and sample matrices. For clinical validation, 18 KHV and CEV positive samples each, as well as 12 negative samples were tested with three different test methods, i.e., real-time duplex PCR, real-time simplex PCR, and conventional PCR. All three tests provide optimal conformity of results. The results showed that real-time duplex PCR was able to detect the presence and distinguish each pathogen in infected fish. This real-time duplex PCR assay is a rapid, sensitive, and specific test for detecting KHV and CEV in carp fish, thus it can be considered a valid alternative assay in aquaculture clinical laboratories. \u0000 \u0000Keywords: Cyprinus carpio, CEV, diagnostic, KHV, real-time duplex PCR \u0000 \u0000ABSTRAK \u0000 \u0000Koi herpesvirus (KHV) dan carp edema virus (CEV) merupakan risiko potensial untuk perdagangan koi dan budidaya ikan mas global. The bacteria were isolated from the water and feces of O. niloticus and C. gariepinus aquaculture in Samarinda, which were identified as Escherichia coli, Enterobacter cloacae, and Enterobacter amnigenus. An 0.1 mL-1 of each bacteria was intramuscular injection and evaluated the clinical signs, eksternal pathology, and fish mortality. The freshwater fish using in this research were Oreochromis niloticus, Clarias gariepinus, and Pangasius pangasius with size 10-15 g from Loa Kulu, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan, Indonesia. The result showed that each bacteria caused mortality in fish: E. coli bacteria caused fish mortality 23.33-66.67%; E. cloacae 10.00 to 90.00%; and E. amnigenus by 3.33-56.67%. The average death time of E. coli and E. amnigenus in all three fish were under 48 hours, while E. cloacae caused mortality less than 48 hours in C. gariepinus and P. pangasius. In conclusion, E. coli, E. cloacae, and E. amnigenus are putative pathogenic bacterium in O. niloticus, C. gariepinus, and P. pangasius.

A reputable disease diagnosis is appreciated as the ability to track the pathogenic infection when the host abnormality is undetectable due to the low pathogenic cell concentration. This mini-review article discusses the selected virulence encoding genes as molecular markers and the steps of standard validation methods in the application for early detection of AHPND disease. The proper diagnosis method is crucial to prevent the spread of Vibriosis AHPND which significantly results in economic losses for shrimp farmers. In this early warning system, we need a molecular method available for quick detection by applying the tracking tools that can discriminate pathogenic V. parahaemolyticus AHPND strain. Several types of potential genes that can be developed into tracking devices for infectious Vibriosis are pathogenic genes encoding the virulence factor. Through several stages of testing the selected virulence encoding genes will be developed into molecular markers. The polymerase chain reaction method and several of its variants have been widely applied using selected molecular markers. Furthermore, the use of molecular markers for the diagnosis of AHPND disease in shrimp must be validated by determining aspects of sensitivity, detection specificity, repeatability consistency, and reproducibility \u0000 \u0000Keywords: virulence-encoding gene, Vibrio parahaemolyticus, AHPND, diagnose, molecular marker \u0000 \u0000ABSTRAK \u0000 \u0000Kemampuan melacak keberadaan patogen Vibrio parahaemolyticus, agen penyebab AHPND pada udang adalah salah satu kunci untuk mengendalikan penyakit menular ini.
