{"title":"Local Tradition Based-Multicultural Education Management: A case sudy of Perang Topat Festival in Lingsar Temple, West Lombok-Indonesia","authors":"Mohamad Iwan Fitriani","doi":"10.20414/elhikmah.v17i1.8503","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.20414/elhikmah.v17i1.8503","url":null,"abstract":"This study was conducted in the sacred places located in the Lingsar village, West Lombok, Indonesia, and focused on (1) the process of the Perang Topat (Topat war) festival; (2) the multicultural behaviors manifested in the Perang Topat festival; (3) strategy to manage educational curriculum based on local tradition. Data were gathered through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation using a qualitative technique with a case study design. Braun and Clarke's theme analysis was used to analyze the data in six steps. This study discovered, multicultural education perspectives, that (1) the Perang Topat is a unique war because it changes a sign of enmity into a symbol of harmony between Muslims, Hindus and other participants; (2) the war of peace provides six dominant multicultural behaviors that contribute to multicultural education development; and (3) to manage education curriculum based on local tradition, there are two main steps taken, namely, the contribution and the additive approach. The second step is the best way to build interreligious practices-based multicultural education. Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilakukan di tempat keramat yang terletak di Desa Lingsar, Lombok Barat, Indonesia. Penelitian difokuskan pada tiga aspek utama: (1) proses pelaksanaan festival Perang Topat, (2) perilaku multikultural yang termanifastasi dalam festival Perang Topat, dan (3) strategi pengelolaan kurikulum pendidikan berbasis tradisi lokal. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi dengan menggunakan teknik kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Analisis tema dari Braun dan Clarke digunakan untuk menganalisis data dalam enam langkah. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan, dalam konteks pendidikan multikultural bahwa: (1) Festival Perang Topat memiliki karakteristik unik karena mampu mengubah simbol permusuhan menjadi simbol kerukunan antara umat Islam, Hindu, dan partisipan dari latar belakang agama lain; (2) Festival Perang Topat sebagai bentuk \"perang damai\" menunjukkan adanya enam perilaku multikultural dominan yang memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap pengembangan pendidikan multikultural; dan (3) Untuk mengelola kurikulum pendidikan yang berbasis pada tradisi lokal, ditemukan dua langkah utama yang diambil, yaitu pendekatan kontribusi dan pendekatan aditif. It has not only become a topic of discussion in the political sphere but also a profound subject of academic and educational discourse. The article aims to explain the principles of religious moderation in the digital book of Madrasah Tsanawiyah for the Fiqh Class VIII curriculum of 2013. The research employed a non-interactive qualitative approach, using library research. Data were collected through document analysis, with content analysis as the data analysis technique. The study reveals significant principles of religious moderation within the fiqh class VIII student book. These principles of moderation encompass al-ishlah (wisdom), muwathanah (love of country/patriotism), i'tidal (proportionality), tasamuh (tolerance), qudwah (exemplary), and tahadhur (civility). This finding is a noteworthy contribution to understanding how religious education in Indonesia likewise promotes religious restraint as a core principle. It emphasises the importance of educating students about the significance of practising restraint in their religious practices. Abstrak: Moderasi beragama telah menjadi isu yang sangat relevan dalam beberapa tahun terakhir. Hal ini tidak hanya menjadi perbincangan di dunia politik, tetapi juga menjadi topik yang mendalam dalam diskusi akademik dan pendidikan. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan nilai-nilai moderasi beragama yang terdapat dalam Buku Digital Madrasah Tsanawiyah Mata Pelajaran Fiqih kelas VIII Kurikulum 2013. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif non-interaktif dengan jenis penelitian kepustakaan. Data dikumpulkan melalui analisis dokumen, dan teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis isi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat nilai-nilai moderasi beragama yang signifikan dalam buku siswa mata pelajaran fiqih kelas VIII. Nilai-nilai moderasi ini mencakup al-ishlah (kebijaksanaan), muwathanah (cinta tanah air), i’tidal (proporsional), tasamuh (toleransi), qudwah (keteladanan), dan tahadhur (keadaban). Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi penting dalam memahami bagaimana pendidikan agama di Indonesia juga mendorong moderasi beragama sebagai nilai yang fundamental. This article describes the values of religious moderation in the Islamic Religious Education and Cultivation textbooks for Junior High School students. The research method employed for this study is library research. Data collection was conducted through a review of the Islamic Religious Education and Budi Pekerti textbooks for year 9 junior high school students, published by the Ministry of Education and Culture in 2018. Content analysis and discourse analysis were employed for data analysis. The research findings revealed that the textbook for Islamic Religious Education and Budi Pekerti class IX demonstrated four values associated with religious moderation: non-violence, deliberation, accommodation of local culture, and tolerance. This study has the potential to enhance the promotion of religious moderation values in Indonesian education. Abstrak: Moderasi beragama adalah sebagai salah satu program pemerintah untuk menghadapi ekstremisme, pemahaman keagamaan yang menyimpang dan mempromosikan harmoni dalam masyarakat yang beragam dan multikultural di Indonesia. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai moderasi beragama pada buku teks siswa mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam dan Budi Pekerti Jenjang Sekolah Menengah Pertama. Metode penelitian menggunakan jenis penelitian library research. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menelaah dokumen buku teks mata pelajaran PAI dan Budi Pekerti kelas IX SMP terbitan Kemendikbud Tahun 2018. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis isi dan analisis wacana. Hasil penelitian menunjukan nilai-nilai moderasi beragama pada buku teks Pendidikan Agama Islam dan Budi Pekerti kelas IX memuat empat nilai, yaitu: anti kekerasan, musyawarah, akomodatif terhadap kebudayaan lokal, dan toleransi. Educators play a crucial role in fostering the growth and development of students' potential. This article aims to explore the significance of ethics as both a value and a control system for professionals in the field of Islamic religious education during the 5.0 era. The research method employs a qualitative approach by conducting a literature review. Scientific references, including books, journals, and encyclopedias, as well as the Law on Teachers and Lecturers, are used to emphasize the importance of ethics for Islamic religious educators. The importance of ethical conduct for Islamic religious education teachers within the teaching profession is encompassed by five standards of ethical behavior. These standards include: (1) ethics toward oneself, where teachers must exhibit patience, dedication, and seek support from family; (2) ethics toward students, as teachers are role models and represent the future of education, and must possess refined personal competencies fortified by ethical standards; (3) ethics toward student guardians; (4) ethics toward colleagues; (5) ethics toward society; and (6) ethics toward religion. This aspect requires teachers to demonstrate politeness, authority, activeness, and proficiency in collaborating with colleagues, superiors, parents, and the community, in order to efficiently perform the profession of Islamic education. Abstrak: Etika guru adalah fondasi penting untuk memastikan berjalannya pendidikan dengan lancar dan efektif. Guru memiliki peran kunci dalam mendorong pertumbuhan dan perkembangan potensi peserta didik. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk membahas urgensi etika sebagai sebuah nilai dan system kontrol profesi guru pendidikan agama Islam era 5.0. Metode penelitian menggunakan studi pustaka dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Referensi-referensi ilmiah berupa buku, jurnal, ensiklopedia dan Undang-undang Guru dan Dosen digunakan untuk menyederhanakan urgensi etika bagi seorang pendidik agama Islam. Urgensi etika guru pendidikan agama Islam terkait profesi keguruan, ada lima yang menjadi ruang lingkup etika keguruan, yakni; (1) etika terhadap diri sendiri, di mana guru harus bersikap sabar, sepenuh hati dalam tugasnya, dan mendapatkan dukungan dari keluarga; (2) etika terhadap peserta didik, guru harus menjadi teladan dan cerminan pendidikan masa depan, dengan kompetensi kepribadian yang baik yang diperkuat oleh etika; (3) etika terhadap wali murid; (4) etika terhadap rekan sejawat; (5) etika terhadap masyarakat; (6) etika terhadap agama. To achieve this goal, this researc used descriptive qualitative approach. Research datas were obtainet through in-dept review technique, supported by observation and documentation techniques. The respondents in this research were the leaders, teachers, and employees of MAN 2 Mataram. This study shows that the quality-based education financing planning model at MAN 2 Mataram is pursued through three stages, namely; 1) identifying sources of costs and needs; 2) prioritizing; 3) making a budget plan. Each stage taken is based on the standard planning theory including procedures, principles, characteristics, objectives. In addition, it is also based on regulations and quality-oriented. This model has implications for the achievements of students and institutions that have improved qualitatively and quantitatively. To improve the quality of this financing plan, in the future MAN 2 needs to maximize the economic potential of the madrasah, expand econimic networks, and empower alumni. Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan model perencanaan pembiayaan pendidikan berbasis mutu di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Mataram. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui teknik wawancara mendalam dan didukung dengan teknik observasi dan dokumentasi. Adapun responden dalam penelitian ini adalah jajaran pimpinan, guru, dan karyawan MAN 2 Mataram. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa model perencanan pembiayaan pendidikan berbasis mutu di MAN 2 Mataram ditempuh melalui tiga tahapan berupa; 1) identifikasi sumber biaya dan kebutuhan; 2) membuat prioritas; 3) membuat rencana anggaran. Setiap tahapan yang ditempuh berpijak pada standar teori perencanaan mencakup prosedur, prinsip, sifat, tujuan. Di samping itu juga berpijak pada regulasi dan berorientasi pada mutu. Wujud model ini berimplikasi pada prestasi-prestasi siswa dan lembaga yang mengalami peningkatan secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. It was as if they agreed that Muslims must rise from adversity and stagnation in thinking, especially regarding Islamic law and free themselves from blind obedience. This study aims to analyze the sequence of the ijtihad period from decline to revival, and analyze the contribution of Muhammad Abduh in the renewal of Islamic law. The research uses a qualitative research method based on literature study, the data source in this study analyzes the works of Muhammad Abduh, especially with regard to Islamic law. The research results explain that. The revival of Ijtihad in the Modern era began when it entered the 19th century, which was marked by movements against Western/foreign occupation of Islamic territories; knowledge movement and return to pure Islamic teachings; the movement to reinterpret the understanding and thought of Muslims; Ijtihad on completely new issues that arise as a result of the ongoing development of science and technology. Peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif untuk memperoleh data, kemudian melakukan pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan dokumentasi, selanjutnya data tersebut dianalisis menggunakan analisis wacana kritis Teun A. Van Dijk. Hasil penelitian sebagai berikut. Pertama, dalam analisis teks, tema teks adalah penolakan wacana presiden tiga periode. Kedua, analisis kognisi sosial yang mempengaruhi, yaitu nilai demokrasi yang dipegang erat sebagai ideologi dan pengalaman dalam peristiwa pelengseran Presiden Soeharto yang berkuasa 32 tahun. Penelitian ini pada dasarnya dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh organisasi kemahasiswaan ekstra kampus terhadap kemampuan berkomunikasi mahasiswa IAIN Padangsidimpuan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, yaitu dengan pengumpulan data menggunakan angket. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan angket skala likert. Data yang diperoleh diolah dan dianalisis dengan metode kuantitatif dengan rumus korelasi Product Moment, Regresi Linear Sederhana dan Uji Signifikan F serta bantuan program SPSS Versi 22 (Statistical Product and Service Solution) 22 for Windows. Setelah dilakukan penelitian diperoleh hasil bahwa terdapat pengaruh organisasi kemahasiswaan ekstra kampus terhadap kemampuan berkomunikasi mahasiswa IAIN Padangsidimpuan , hal ini ditunjukkan dengan besarnya koefisien korelasi penelitian rxy sebesar 0,658 menunjukkan ada pengaruh yang signifikan dengan konstribusi determinan sebesar 43%. Pada taraf signifikansi 5% diperoleh koefisien Ftabel sebesar 4,08 dengan membandingkan Fhitung dan Ftabel pada taraf signifikansi 5% menunjukkan bahwa Fhitung Ftabel yakni F hitung = 4,1. Masalah kehidupan tersebut mencakup beberapa aspek, seperti aspek ekonomi, sosial, budaya, hukum, politik, sains dan teknologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi dan faktor pendukung dakwah Kiai Umarul Faruq Musthafa dalam membina penyandang masalah kesejahteraan sosial di desa Palenggiyan Sampang. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif lapangan (Studi Kasus), dalam artian memiliki karakteristik tersendiri yang harus diperhatikan dan perlu untuk dilakukan dengan latar alamiah atau konteks dari suatu keutuhan, data diperoleh dari setting alami yang berlangsung dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. di mana pada penelitian ini mengkaji untuk menganalisis situasi (sintuational analysis) terhadap peristiwa atau kejadian tertentu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, dakwah yang dilakukan Kiai Umarul Faruq Musthafa dalam membina penyandang masalah kesejahteraan sosial di desa Palenggiyan Sampang sangatlah baik dengan cara mendekati masyarakat khusunya mengumpulkan para ketua dengan bermuasyawaroh membentuk pengajian pemuda isyaf (As-Sabab). Adapun faktor pendukung dalam strategi dakwahnya yaitu masyarakat ikut antusias dalam terbentuknya kelompok tersebut, dan dilaksanakan dengan waktu yang singkat.
