This system which employs a detachable transformer for magnetic coupling has a leakage inductance. Therefore load voltage decreases greatly in proportion to load electric current. A feedback control circuit of the noncontact energy transfer system is more complicated than that of the contact energy transfer system. Namely, a noncontact energy transfer system with no-feedback system is expected for stabilization of the load voltage. A high efficiency noncontact energy transfer system requires several resonant circuits such as resonant inverter and resonant circuit for load matching. The proposed circuit can perform zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) without any current and voltage sensors. For this circuit, both simulation and experiments have been performed. In these converters, a pulse width modulation (PWM) technique is widely used. On the other hand, to improve power factor in utility AC side of converter a variety of power factor correction (PFC) converters are effectively introduced. For these converters, hysteresis current control method is developed and applying. Usually, this control scheme uses reference sinusoidal wave and upper limit signal which is determined by added constant value to reference signal, as well as lower limit signal which is determined by subtracted constant value from the reference signal. Using these signals, hysteresis current control method for PFC converter regulates its input current within the range that is determined by the upper and lower limit. In this paper the authors propose a simple configuration hysteresis controlled PFC converter which can effectively reduce current ratings of switching power device. The proposed PFC converter controls input line current keeps within the constant upper limit, specified by the switching power semiconductor device rating, as well as lower limit determined by reference sinusoidal wave. From FFT analytical results, the proposed circuit can lower the current rating of switching power device than fundamental component of input line current.","PeriodicalId":320424,"journal":{"name":"Proceedings of the Power Conversion Conference-Osaka 2002 (Cat. This system needs large power conversion stations consisting of PWM converters on the ground. The PWM converter is required to supply power stably according to the running conditions of the electric rolling stock. In this system, the PWM converter is required to control the DC feeding voltage of 1,500 V at the error rate of 0.5% or less to suppress magnetic disturbance. To avoid these problems, we propose a novel control system consisting of a line characteristics identifier and a 2nd-order filter. The identifier provides the line frequency characteristics observed from the point of the active power filter. The parameters of the 2nd-order filter are determined according to the identified characteristics. But the performances of this type of PWM rectifier are in contradiction with their characteristics of switching frequency. Scholars from Japan have presented a control scheme based on space-vector pulse-width modulation (SVPWM). Due to its good characteristic of switching frequency, it has been well studied. This paper presents a simple switching algorithm based on space-vector pulse-width modulation (SVPWM).
