Such applications can be categorized as “Continuous Writing Applications” (CWA) that have particular requirements on bandwidth, storage, computation, and service reliability. In the meanwhile, they are very sensitive to the cost. In this paper, we present an architecture of multiple cloud service providers (CSPs) or “Cloud-of-Clouds” to provide services to the CWA and propose a novel resource scheduling algorithm to minimize the cost of entire systems. Difference from many research efforts that focus on a single resource, we take many factors into considerations that include user's requirements of bandwidth, storage and computation, the resources of CSPs that can provide, CSPs for data backup, the configurations of Cloud-of-Clouds, system models of CSPs, and many more. We first present the system models of classic CWA applications to capture the resource requirements of users on Cloud-of-Clouds. We then present the problem formulation and our optimal strategy of user scheduling based on Minimum First Derivative Length (MFDL) of load paths among the systems. On account of the battery half-duplex constraint, this paper adopts a save-then-transmit scheme: the transmitter first harvests energy, and then stops EH to transmit information with all accumulated energy. Obviously, for the save-then-transmit scheme, a proper stopping time needs to be determined, since larger EH duration provides more the accumulated energy while decreases the average throughput. First, this paper proves the existence of the optimal stopping rule and shows that this rule has a state-dependent “threshold-based” structure for the fading channel scenario. When an AIS system is transmitted in a manner incompatible with the slot timing due to malfunction, the AIS wireless apparatus of the Carrier Sense Time Division Multiple Access (CSTDMA) scheme can communicate but the usable slot available becomes smaller and the AIS wireless apparatus of the Self Organized Time Division Multiple Access (SOTDMA) scheme may fail to receive an AIS message due to transmission data collision on the wireless. Through the analysis of the experimental results, it was confirmed that a large number of malfunctioning AIS radio devices are actually transmitting at the actual sea. This paper presents the bit error rate (BER) performance of circular QAM when using a combination of Wiener filter based pilot symbol assisted (PSA) and phase locked loop (PLL) phase noise (PN) estimation and compensation methods. Computer simulation results show that the required received signal-to-noise power ratio (SNR) at the BER of 10−6 using the PSA and PLL PN estimation and compensation is decreased by approximately 0.3, 0.6, and 1.3 dB for the pilot symbol insertion interval of 25, 50, and 100 symbols, respectively, compared to that using only the PSA PN estimation for circular 1024QAM. Hence, systems using distributed data store are becoming widespread to improve scalability, fault tolerance and high reliability. For example, MAGONIA® server architecture, a part of NetroSphere Concept handles large-scale traffic by load-balancing. Basic functions include data redundancy for improvement of the reliability as well as system management in a dynamic scale. In previous studies, distributed data stores supported retrieval of attribute values by inverted index, but there are cases where bias to the index occurred. In this research, we propose a method to divide the hash value of an index in an application conforming to MAGONIA to equalize the load. In addition, a method to determine the bit length to divide is also shown. This paper presents a real-time OFDM-based UA communication system, implemented using the National Instruments CompactDAQ device and the LabVIEW software. The system design including both the transmitter and receiver is discussed. The performance of this real-time system is verified through a UA communication experiment conducted recently in a tank. To address the weighted sum rate maximization problem (mixed integer programming) arisen in the Lyapunov-drift maximization, an algorithm based on the block coordinated update is proposed and proved to converge to the global optimum of the relaxed convex problem. In order to make the scheduling decisions based only upon statistical channel state information (CSI), asymptotic expressions of the downlink broadcast channel capacity are derived. The key contribution of this paper is the theoretical analysis of this MAC protocol which will be used in the future maritime communication networks — VDES. The key parameter in this proposed MAC protocol is the maximum number of packets that can be recovered by a decollision algorithm. The larger this number, the higher the throughput performance of this proposed MAC protocol. The throughputs and the corresponding offered load points for the maximum normalized throughputs of the proposed MAC protocol are derived and investigated. Both finite packet arrival population and infinite packet arrival population models are modeled, derived and analyzed with new results. But the dynamic changing three-dimension (3D) topology of UAV network brings new challenges for the robust and efficient routing algorithm selection. Therefore, a cube based space region partition (CSRP) routing algorithm is proposed to improve the quality of service (QoS) of UAV network. Furthermore, the 3D space is divided into several cubes which are selected as the optimal routing path for UAV network based on the connectivity among different UAVs. Similar to Shannon Entropy and Renyi Entropy, we first define a non-parametric message important measure (NMIM) as a measure for message importance. It can characterize the uncertainty of random events. It is proved that it can sufficiently describe the two key characters of big data: rare events finding and large diversities of events. Based on NMIM, we propose an effective compressed encoding mode for data storage in wireless communication systems.
