An extended risk-sensitive filter (ERSF) is reexamined and, new iterated version of that ERSF called the iterated extended risk sensitive filters (IERSF) is developed. An ERSF weakness specifically accumulation error in the computing of innovation steps due to approximating nonlinear functions at recently available prior estimate is presented. By using the IERSF with proper tuning of risk factor and local iteration, the filtering divergence may be overcome, and a stable, robust and unbiased estimation is obtained satisfactorily. The performance of IERSF is compared with the performance of ERSF through an application of nonlinear bimodal signal estimation problem. The IERSF results in reduced estimation error without increase in burden of the associated computational algorithm.","PeriodicalId":320146,"journal":{"name":"2008 IEEE International Conference on Computational Cybernetics","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-12-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"124645069","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Nevertheless, the application of FC just emerged in the last two decades, due to the progress in the area of chaos and nonlinear dynamics that revealed subtle relationships with the FC concepts. In the field of dynamical systems theory some work has been carried out but the proposed models and algorithms are still in a preliminary stage of establishment. Having these ideas in mind, the paper discusses the application of FC in engineering sciences.","PeriodicalId":320146,"journal":{"name":"2008 IEEE International Conference on Computational Cybernetics","volume":"400 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-12-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115990024","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

First we interpret this property as a particular form of the generalized associativity functional equation. This makes it easy to extend the original property, and also to characterize it with the help of a very simple equation. Then we turn back to the original notion and show two representation (construction) theorems for migrative triangular norms that are continuous. Since the migrative property excludes both idempotent and nilpotent classes, the representation is carried out by solving a functional equation for additive generators of strict t-norms. We also study cases when the construction results in a smooth generator.","PeriodicalId":320146,"journal":{"name":"2008 IEEE International Conference on Computational Cybernetics","volume":"60 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-12-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126532752","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The main purpose was to reveal the dominant frequencies and the frequency-time functions of the vibrating sub-systems in the cutting process. Three dominating vibration modes were detected with strongly fluctuating measured frequency values confined in a relatively narrow frequency band. Here we show that this fluctuation has not only numeric but physical reasons, and one of these reasons is probably the coupling between the vibration modes. It turned out that the wavelet analysis method is capable of tracing fast varying frequencies of the signal with values close to each other by the proper choice of the central frequency parameter of the mother wavelet. In comparison with the HHT the wavelet method showed much more robust in this case.","PeriodicalId":320146,"journal":{"name":"2008 IEEE International Conference on Computational Cybernetics","volume":"20 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-12-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117072762","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Probes are major components of such a coordinate measuring machine. They contribute to a large extend to measurement uncertainty of the CMM. In this paper a new low cost design is presented. The moving element of the probe head consists of the stylus and a crossform intermediate body with a small aluminium enhanced mirror at two end and at the center. The intermediate body is suspended on four springs made of berillium-copper folies. The displacement of the probe tip is calculated from the displacement and the rotations of the mirrors measured by modified optical pick-ups.","PeriodicalId":320146,"journal":{"name":"2008 IEEE International Conference on Computational Cybernetics","volume":"198 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-12-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123346094","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Linking potential has high influence on control of internal activity of PCNN neuron. The neuron internal activity, represented by activation potential, determines the pulse response mode of neuron in the PCNN. Because standard PCNN has up to ten parameters, it is very difficult set up all optimal values of them. With linking and activation potential optimization are better possibilities for PCNN application because four parameters were eliminated.","PeriodicalId":320146,"journal":{"name":"2008 IEEE International Conference on Computational Cybernetics","volume":"49 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-12-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115788637","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The spatial color feature called guided color coherence feature(GCCF) & guided distance feature in wavelet(GDFW) are calculated for the purpose of classification. The color coherence vector is constructed for all images and is used to find three GCCFs namely DeltaH, DeltaG & DeltaI . For finding guided distance feature in wavelet (GDFW), the input images are decomposed into 16 blocks using 2-dimensional discrete wavelet transform. Then wavelet image feature vector is formed by calculating mean and variance in each block. The difference between guide wavelet image and input wavelet image is named as guided distance feature in wavelet(GDFW) is calculated. Here one or more guide images are used for finding these guided features. These parameters are given in different combinations as input to the adaptive neuro fuzzy inference system(ANFIS). The performance of system is illustrated with a set of 600 images containing both greenery and non-greenery images.","PeriodicalId":320146,"journal":{"name":"2008 IEEE International Conference on Computational Cybernetics","volume":"116 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-12-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127307791","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
