However, important term in education is quality of this education. Student must have effort to study, and e-learning system must also have tools for bringing educational informations in simplest way, or support learners study as much as it's possible. In present, main problem of e-learning systems is generalisation of learners, it means that all students can take only the same teaching material. In the related way, these informations are served a little bit chaotic and cold\". Solving for this problem could be intelligent e-learning systems (IELS) that are e-learning systems, which have build-in intelligence support (algorithms) for learner's study. Next reason for building IELS is attempt for substitution of the teacher. It's not possible to make absolute substitution for the teacher, but scientific conferences all over the world still brings important conclusions in this area, which can help build interesting systems.","PeriodicalId":320146,"journal":{"name":"2008 IEEE International Conference on Computational Cybernetics","volume":"10 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-12-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125881062","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The amount of magnetic flux introduced into the test sample is an important factor in the resolution of flaw detection. It depends on the power of permanent magnets and the geometrical design of the magnetic yoke. Finite element method (FEM) is the most widely used method of analyzing magnetic yoke due to its power, accuracy and straightforwardness. On the other hand its calculations are so complicated and time consuming, and every single modification in the parameters of the problem requires a new run. In this paper, we present an innovative method to overcome the problem of heavy calculations. In this method an adaptive fractional model (AFM) is fitted, to the calculated values of FEM, to simulate the behavior of the magnetic yoke for different design parameters with an acceptable error. Tolerating an acceptable amount of error, AFM can be replaced by FEM. This replacement brings about flexibility besides reducing the heavy calculations considerably. Finally, setting the parameters of the model according to the nature of data, the FEM results can be reproduced.","PeriodicalId":320146,"journal":{"name":"2008 IEEE International Conference on Computational Cybernetics","volume":"38 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-12-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"133159990","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The predictive certainty measure is the percentage of most dominant outcome from all the possible outcomes for the ensemble of classifiers. Three neural network ensemble classifiers were created using Bagging, Boosting and Bayesian Methods. All three ensembles are used to classify a patients HIV status using demographic variables obtained from an antenatal seroprevalence survey. All three ensembles perform equally well for the HIV classification but the ensemble obtained using Bayesian training method is most suited for giving a relevant predictive certainty measure. The predictive certainty measures obtained for the Bagging and Boosting ensembles are not suitable to use as a confidence measure because the prediction accuracy is low for cases that have high predictive certainty. The Bayesian ensemble is more suitable for making decisions.","PeriodicalId":320146,"journal":{"name":"2008 IEEE International Conference on Computational Cybernetics","volume":"17 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-12-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"131269846","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

These machines should be capable of travelling on different types of surfaces (such as floors, walls, ceilings) and to walk between such surfaces. Furthermore, these machines should adapt and reconfigure for various environment conditions and should be self-contained. Regarding the adhesion to the surface, they should be able to produce a secure gripping force using a light-weight mechanism. Bearing these facts in mind, this paper presents a survey of different technologies used for climbing robots adhesion to surfaces.","PeriodicalId":320146,"journal":{"name":"2008 IEEE International Conference on Computational Cybernetics","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-12-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130003955","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

With the help of model transformations we can generate source code, other models and documentation from the source models. During the development, a recurring problem is that the source and target artifacts coexist and they evolve independently. This means that after the transformation the target artifacts can be changed by the developer. The problem in this case is that the target artifact will not be consistent with the source model. One option to maintain consistency is by synchronizing our artifacts with model transformation. With the help of synchronization, the developer can work on each artifact, because they are consistent. However the synchronization can be quite complex and cannot be applied in many cases. Usually the inverse transformation does not exist, or it cannot be determined uniquely. This paper presents how we can track the modifications of the transformation, and how we can use this information in the synchronization process.","PeriodicalId":320146,"journal":{"name":"2008 IEEE International Conference on Computational Cybernetics","volume":"2 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2008-12-22","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132066219","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
