Recent work, particularly on relaxation kinetics in metallic glasses, has described the conditions under the shape parameter β deviates from its usual value. Where β &gt; 1, the corresponding exponential function is compressed rather than stretched.<br><br>The β-generalized exponential function provides good parametric fits for two measures of influence in legal academia: law review impact factors and Social Science Research Network (SSRN) downloads per author. A stretched exponential function models impact factors from 2007 through 2019. A compressed exponential function describes SSRN downloads per author by law school, except the single outlier atop the rankings. A power law distribution fits the SSRN data, but only for the top 100 schools.<br><br>The fact that the value of the exponent β straddles the value of 1, which characterizes an ordinary exponential function, is not a trivial artifact of fitting a model to observed bibliometric data. Treating the reciprocal of β as a rough measure of heterogeneity, h = 1/β, suggests that impact factors and SSRN downloads measure different aspects of academic influence in law. Law reviews, especially as the stigma of online publishing recedes, have become more heterogeneous. Although extant trajectory mining techniques can remedy these shortcomings, they require high-frequency location data, which poses severe risks to consumers’ privacy. The authors present a novel method to extract marketing value from low-granularity urban mobility data and demonstrate its use in analyzing gas station choice to value customers. The data, also used to infer gas station visits, contain 1.06 million location records on nearly 27,000 devices observed near selected retailers including gas stations during a six-month period in Staten Island, New York. The authors pool consumers’ mobility trajectories from several days to dynamically calculate the distance of stores from consumers’ anticipated trajectories. They then supplement the data with station-level daily fuel prices and estimate a conditional logit model to assess how consumers trade off gas prices versus store distance. In addition to a generally high station loyalty, the authors find that consumers strongly prefer not to deviate far from their common trajectories for fueling trips. The article argues that value-oriented management of the development of a restaurant business is aimed at achieving the goal of maximizing the key determinants of value. The parameters and elements of the configuration of the value concept (strategic assets, nomadic competencies, the consumer value frame of the restaurant service) are determined, the content and nature of which reflects the individual elements of the value-oriented management of the restaurant business. The research methodology is based on theoretical and methodological analysis of scientific literature, economic methods, and observations, comparable, measurement, analysis and matrix modeling. To develop a Y-matrix model for assessing the effectiveness of value-based development management, which represents the relationship between strategic assets, key competencies and the value frame, the expert method and the method of multivariate comparative analysis are used.\u0000The results of this research show that the elements of consumer value that are basic for the development of restaurant businesses in the modern competitive space are: the uniqueness of the restaurant concept, originality of the menu, pricing policy, service, safety standards, atmosphere, innovation and emotions. For the empirical convergence of the concept of value, a Y-matrix is built. Based on the use of the method of multivariate comparative analysis, the implementation degree of key competencies and strategic assets in the creation of structural elements of consumer value is assessed.\u0000To determine the efficiency level of value-based development management at the restaurant business, the value resonance coefficient is calculated. Based on the research results, a list of key competencies is determined, on the development of which it is necessary to focus the attention of the management of the restaurant business.\u0000The practical significance of research lies in the possibility of its use as a tool for strategic value analysis in the restaurant business. The most widely used type of heat exchanger is shell and tube. This type is widely used because of its simple and easy design. Design of shell and tube heat exchangers is done by the side or shell variations to get the desired performance. Therefore, research is conducted to study the effect of tube thickness on heat transfer, pressure drop, and stress that occurs in the shell and tube heat exchanger so that the optimal tube thickness is obtained.<br><br>In this research, the activities carried out are the design of heat exchangers for the production of oxygen with a capacity of 30 tons/day. The standard used in this study is the 9th edition heat exchanger design guidance document compiled by the Tubular Exchanger Manufacturer Association (TEMA). Analysis of the tube thickness effect on heat transfer, pressure drop, and stress was carried out using the SimScale platform.<br><br>The effect of variations in tube thickness on heat transfer is that the thicker the tube, the lower the heat transfer effectiveness. The highest value of the heat exchanger effectiveness is 0.969 at the tube thickness variation of 0.5 mm. The lowest value of the heat exchanger effectiveness is 0.931 at the tube thickness variation of 1.5 mm. The effect of variations in tube thickness on pressure drop is that the thicker the tube, the higher the pressure drop. The highest value of pressure drop is in the variation in tube thickness of 1.5 mm, 321 Pa. The lowest value of drop pressure is in the variation of 0.5 mm tube thickness, which is 203 Pa. Application of a roller-press enables higher crushing efficiency due to both power saving and reduction of sizes of ore crush products to release mineral aggregates. Ore disintegration by compressive strain prevails among currently applied crushing methods. Disintegration occurs not only due to the compressive, but also to the shear strain. Considering smaller power consumption of the shear strain than that of the compressive strain, it is concluded that roller-press application is quite efficient. \u0000Simulation of crushing by using the Bond law frequently applied in practice is under consideration. It is essential to consider the stochasticity of the ore flow to be crushed. Presentation of this flow as a random figure by transforming it by the Bond crushing law results in a probabilistic characteristic of the crushing result. This characteristic enables finding properties of the crush product and probabilistic formulation of the problem of improving the crushing process by setting a relevant functional. To apply the results obtained to practical uses, the crushing process is simulated. The theoretical results are confirmed by setting the stochastic properties of the input ore flow by means of Rosen-Rammler’s law followed by statistical substantiation of the conducted calculations in Mathcad. The technological parameters of the pressing process have been analyzed, which make it possible to improve the compaction of powder briquettes based on iron. Such parameters are the outer greasing, which reduces friction between a green compact and the walls of the press tool matrix, and the firing, which removes the deformation strengthening of the green compacts and increases their plasticity. \u0000The green compacts’ sealing mechanism involved in the final squeezing process has been established, which is associated with the grinding of pre-compressed particles due to the strain in the contact areas. The increase in the stressed state of green compacts following the final squeezing was confirmed by the results of studying the residual micro-strains. \u0000The change in the stressed state of iron green compacts has been confirmed by the study into the structurally sensitive characteristics, which include the materials’ magnetic and electrical properties. Determining the magnetic characteristics has shown that final squeezing leads to an increase in coercive force, which can be explained by both the increase in the stressed state and the grinding of grains. Investigating the impact exerted by the annealing environment on the value of magnetic characteristics has demonstrated that annealing in hydrogen is more effective in terms of improving magnetic properties than annealing in a vacuum. This is due to the refining of grain boundaries through the processes of reduction of oxide films. \u0000The study of the mechanical characteristics of green compact materials based on iron powder has established that final squeezing leads to an increase in the hardness and strength of materials depending on the conditions of deformation. Here, uniaxial creep experiments were performed on commercially pure Al polycrystals using samples having the smallest (or, characteristic sample) dimension of 500 μm to 5 mm in the “five”-power law regime. Compared to the interior, the near-surface region developed creep compliant dislocation substructures, marked by lower dislocation density and larger subgrain size. Furthermore, the extent of this surface-affected region (SAR) inversely varied with applied stress and was limited by the grain size. As SAR became comparable to the characteristic sample dimension (CSD), the creep response of the material was significantly affected by the “weaker” surface, thereby reducing the overall creep resistance. This also resulted in a decrease in stress exponent with a decrease in CSD. The differential creep resistance of the surface and the interior leads to load-shedding between the “weak” surface and the “strong” interior. A microstructure-sensitive iso-strain composite model quantifying this load-shedding effect was formulated to explain the observed creep response across various length scales. In the paper we explore risks and limits connected with the application of AI models in financial modeling and its application in practice. We will present approaches to overcome limitations and potential biases. Based on an example model, we highlight certain issues and problems. We review current policies and present their requirements. Governance and commercial models were addressed, based on standardization of data and legal frameworks. On the other hand, it showed how operational governance causes consequences in business models, whether with transactions, multi-signature, forks, consensus mechanism, smart contracts, tokenization, online dispute resolution and decentralized application. It was discovered that at least in current business models, private blockchain networks are more useful than public networks because they have greater operational flexibility and data governance, without exempting that public networks must also have mechanisms of governance since sometimes a human consensus must be reached to make updates to protocols and technical rules.
