Due to mismatch of topics, impact of some papers is constrained. In this work, text mining algorithm has been designed to collate the citations of all papers presented in a conference series. Attempt is made to connect the papers on the basis of journals or conferences they refer to. A small subset of such knowledge repositories is thus found to span all the presented papers. A few papers remain disconnected from the giant component so formed, mainly due to improper out-of-context referencing. One case study covering a flagship international conference observed over six consecutive years is presented to demonstrate the method.","PeriodicalId":318478,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE Calcutta Conference (CALCON)","volume":"84 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"130359910","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The conventional coupled-line filter has been folded at the symmetry plane, which results in the improvement of upper stopband skirt characteristics. However, the harmonic rejection level remains almost unaffected due to the phase velocity imbalance. Subsequently, the coupled-lines have been modified by inserting quarter-elliptical grooves and the transmission zero reallocation has been employed. Fabrication of the optimized third-order folded filters has been carried out to justify the effectiveness of periodic grooves in the improvement of harmonic suppression. A wide stopband below 35 dB of attenuation level up to 2.4f0 has been obtained experimentally. Moreover, the filter size has been reduced to 58% compared to the conventional filter.","PeriodicalId":318478,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE Calcutta Conference (CALCON)","volume":"9 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"122916321","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The study has been conducted based on the effect on the conduction band energy profile and also on the basic Analog Figure of Merits (FoMs) like Drain current (Id), Transconductance (gm), Output Resistance (ro), Intrinsic Gain (gmro). It has been observed that though Schottky-HEMTs have higher transconductance and faster switching transients, MOS-HEMTs are advantageous over the former as the latter experiences higher drive current capacity, lower threshold voltage, better Ion/Ioff ratio and greater peak intrinsic gain.","PeriodicalId":318478,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE Calcutta Conference (CALCON)","volume":"81 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123989711","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The parameter tuning of PID controller is accomplished by optimizing a suitable performance index based on ITSE (Integral-timesquare error) performance criterion using different optimization techniques. The plant output response is recorded in terms of various time domain specifications and the values are compared to establish the superiority of the proposed GWO. There is much improvement in transient response and steady-state response of the system when GWO technique is used. The controller design process is not only carried out in MATLAB simulation but also implemented in MAGLEV hardware setup for real-time validation.","PeriodicalId":318478,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE Calcutta Conference (CALCON)","volume":"46 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"126913117","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The dc autonomous systems are being explored in addition to the ac autonomous systems to provide power to many electronics appliances without going through rectification and filtering. This paper explores the possibilities of having a hybrid autonomous grid providing quality power to both ac and dc loads directly. An Induction Generators based ac grid is proposed whose requirement of reactive power under dynamic mode is met by a DSTATCOM. The dc bus of the DSTATCOM is supplied by a Solar PV source. The dc bus forms the dc grid and directly supplies the dc loads. The autonomous grid is simulated as a hybrid grid to supply both ac and dc power. It results a horizontal and vertical distortion of the text lines in the digitized document. This type of distortions will not only impair the readability, but also reduce the accuracy of any Optical Character Recognition system. In this paper we propose a novel technique to identify the entire text-region within the document page and then we apply the homography transformation on the corner points of estimated test-region for rectifying its distortion. Compared to other existing methods, the present system is computationally less expensive. The experimental result shows that, our method is able to correct any type of distortion effectively and outperforms the state-of-the-art methods.","PeriodicalId":318478,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE Calcutta Conference (CALCON)","volume":"5 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116948298","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Due to some difficulties in ECG (Electrocardiography) measurements, PPG (Photoplethysmography) has evolved out as an alternative to ECG in HRV estimation, as PPG emulates cardiac rhythm. This study presents a reliable estimation of all the traditional HRV parameters from the PPG based method. A portable low-cost device is proposed here for acquiring combined ECG and PPG signals which can monitor, store and communicate to remotely located computers for measurement of HRV parameters. Modeling the dense small cell network by Spatial Point Process (SPP) provides an efficient and tractable technique to investigate the network performance using the stochastic geometry theory, in terms of coverage probability (CP) and average rate (AR). This paper aims to provide a reasonable performance analysis of three established SPPs, namely, Binomial Point process (BPP), Homogeneous Poisson Point Process (HPPP), Non-Homogeneous Poisson Point Process (NHPPP) in terms of achieved coverage and rate. Furthermore, the Close-In (CI) reference path-loss model plays a pivotal role in estimating downlink SINR which in turn leads to derive the expressions for CP and AR. It is observed that with the increase in tele-density as well as eNB density the NHPPP outperforms both BPP and HPPP in providing better coverage and rate.","PeriodicalId":318478,"journal":{"name":"2020 IEEE Calcutta Conference (CALCON)","volume":"30 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2020-02-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115077285","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
