This institution has effectively become a government collaborator in dealing with the pandemic. MCCC conducts health promotion by utilizing various media, including Youtube. This study found that MCCC has a professional standard in producing Youtube content. MCCC always conducts research before the production process. The research is conducted to determine the needs of the community. In the distribution process, MCCC tries to build interaction with the audience. Interaction is an important aspect of increasing engagement. {"title":"Participatory Development Communication for Family Food Security during the Covid-19 Pandemic","authors":"Enggar Dwiki Egiwirantia, Nia Ashton Destrity","doi":"10.24329/aspikom.v8i1.1211","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.24329/aspikom.v8i1.1211","url":null,"abstract":"The objective of this study is to elaborate and assess participatory development communication strategies employed in women's empowerment program by an Islamic non-governmental organization, specifically Lembaga Lingkungan Hidup dan Penanggulangan Bencana (LLHPB) 'Aisyiyah (Environment and Disaster Management Institute) Probolinggo City, East Java, Indonesia in 2020 to attain family food security during the Covid-19 pandemic. The three series of activities that constitute this empowerment program include training on planting vegetables, training on vegetables and fish cultivation in buckets, and engaging the online 'Aisyiyah Market group. This study utilized a case study methodology, collecting data through documentation and interviews with six informants who were committee members and members of 'Aisyiyah who are active in the empowerment initiative. This study demonstrates that, generally, the circumstance that the committee retains complete authority during crucial decision-making phases contributes to the practice of participatory communication in empowerment program. According to this study, the three activities used monologic and dialogic communication modalities in varying methods. While many communication scientists outside Indonesia have been talking about the importance of unifying the realms of mass and interpersonal communication theories in the era of digital technology, the teaching of communication theory in Indonesia has not accommodated such convergence. This has resulted in the absence of new/digital communication technologies in the existing communication research. Using the historical perspectives and previous works of communication scientists, a new perspective in the teaching of communication theory can be formulated, one that unifies the boundaries between mass and interpersonal communication. This research proves that the social learning theory is effective to promote a campaign with film, which results in behavioral changes in society. The theory used in this research is Albert Bandura's social learning theory. This research utilized the positivistic paradigm. This research employed a survey explanatory method and quantitative approach. The population was Senior High school Students at SMAN 2 Tangerang. The sampling utilize a purposive sampling technique to 100 respondents, with a sampling error of 5%. The technique of data analysis utilized a simple regression analysis. The hypothesis how that there is no influence between the content of the “A Plastic Ocean” film on environmental care attitudes on students. This research studied about women managing private information in social media by observing how members of API Group interpreting of privacy and managing their privacy. This study focuses on the interactivity of members, the meaning of privacy, how manage privacy and what kind of factors make members choose to reveal their privacy in the group. Using a concept of privacy and theoretical approach to Communication Privacy Management (CPM), which is providing assumptions about the system to find out how humans balance decisions about reveal private information. Netnography method used to see virtual activities that occur in groups. The results of the study show that various factors influence the process of privacy disclosure. Generally, the customary design of banknotes in most countries issued by financial authorities is the portrait of notable male leaders. This research examined the banknotes for the 2022 emission yearissued by Bank Indonesia to emphasize the frequent representation of male and female images used in the issued currency. This research examines the message strategies used by zakat institutions in their campaigns on social media. Messages are an important component in the success of a campaign to influence the voluntary behavior of campaign targets. The message strategy theory applied in this study refers to Tafesse and Wien, including informational, transformational, and interactional messages. This research uses a quantitative approach, employing muzakki zakat in Dompet Dhuafa Waspada, North Sumatra, as the respondents. Data analysis technique used the SEM-PLS approach with SmartPLS 4.0 software. The research results show that the informational and transformational variables had a significant effect on the decision to pay zakat. Meanwhile, the interactional variables had no significant effect on the decision to pay zakat. Therefore, the role of message strategy in zakat campaigns on social media is important to increase zakat fundraising. A total of 108 samples from the population of womenprenuers in Lombok to test its statistical hypotheses. On the other hand, the mass media are challenged to deal with hoaxes. This study aims to find out how the management of news production at Tempo through the CekFakta page. This study uses qualitative methods with content analysis data collection techniques and in-depth interviews. Data collection through interviews with CekFakta journalists, article documentation and literature studies since 2021. The results of this study reveal that there are three important aspects that determine news products, namely the format, quality and content leverage. In terms of format, the news on the CekFakta page has a specificity conclusion the information circulating is true or not. There are three charts that make up the body of fact-checking news, first introduction to the viral information, secondly an explanation of the method of finding the truth of the information and the third stage is conclusions related to the information being studied. Consumer can understand easily the content of the information with the guide. In terms of quality, Tempo has a methodology that becomes the basic guideline for journalists to make news. The benefit aspect is done by disseminating the news through social media. In practice, to achieve these three aspects, fact-checking journalists work with the help of tools obtained through collaboration with external participants. In the era of media industrialization, the news agency has become a company that aims to make a profit. News, as a product of mass media companies must also be designed in such a way as to generate profits. Thus, the practice of journalism must also be adapted to the times. Bisnis Indonesia started its convergence by launching Bisnis.com in 2006. This study aims to find out the dynamics faced by Bisnis Indonesia in maintaining the firewall, which is the ethics of journalism in commercialization. This is related to media convergence that tends to strengthen the capitalist character of the media. The research method was carried out with a qualitative approach, where the data collection technique was triangulation. The researchers interviewed ten informants from the management and two from customers using the purposive sampling technique. Internal informants range from the president director, editor-in-chief, and reporters. This study finds that convergence can be a solution for Bisnis Indonesia to get out of circulation problems and find revenue to continue their media business.
