For hundreds of years the residents of Jaton Village lived side by side in harmony with the majority of Minahasa tribes who had different religions. A long historical factor makes Jaton Village unique because residents of Jaton Village are direct descendants of Kyai Modjo, a religious teacher from Prince Diponogoro, who was banished by Dutch colonialists along with 63 of his followers to the Tondano area in 1828. Amid the increasing number of violence committed by one religious group in another religion, this research is aim to see a form of nonmaterial culture in Jaton society. This research will answer the question of what form of non-material cultures includes values, norms and regulations for the people of Jaton Village, and how are the values, norms and beliefs passed on to the next generation. The method used is qualitative with case study approach through observation and in-depth interview. The results showed that the Jaton community still holds an ancestral culture originating from Java. In addition, the norms created are mixed up, so there is no norm that limits behavior or action. This study aims to analyze the motives of parents to upload photos of children on Instagram. This research uses Alfred Schutz’s phenomenology theory with the constructivist paradigm and phenomenology method. To collect data is done by in-depth interviews with 10 informants, and observations of the informants’ instagram accounts. The results of the study and data analysis showed that there were a number of Motives because of uploading photos of children on Instagram that were driven by two things: the experience of photo albums in the past and the disruption and limitations of the technology possessed by parents. While the Motives for (in order to motives) found are related to 3 things. First, it relates to parents’ efforts to make their children known to many people. Second, it relates to a demand to share the moment of child development with others, especially to distant families or friends who have not been met for a long time. Third, as an effort to realize the pride and gratitude of the parents for what they currently have. Based on the motives above, this study categorizes 3 Typics of Parents in uploading photos of children on Instagram, namely Existing Parents, Sharing Parents, and Memories of Parents. The rise of conflict between firms and communities emphasizes the understanding of socio-cultural aspects in the context of communities. This study aimed to explore the effects of Tri Hita Karana local wisdom on the CSR initiatives through a case study in Aqua Danone, Bali. This study has employed a qualitative paradigm where in-depth interviews were conducted with local community members, local community leaders, NGO employees, and managers who are involved with CSR initiatives and strategies on daily basis. Secondary data such reports about CSR programs were also employed in this study. The finding shows that local wisdom of Tri Hita Karana (THK) that integrated worship, man and nature has been adopted as a CSR guidance and appears across all levels of CSR starting from the program planning phase and going through the preparation of strategies until the process of implementation and control. This study also concluded that CSR program should consider local forums such as sangkep (routine meeting held by the village) and the enforcement of local rules (pararem) to engage the local communities to run it sustainably. The high penetration of television in their daily life makes them to rely on television both regarding content (TV program) as well as technological (physical) aspects. This research aims to analyze the position of television in building the values in the daily life of the people of Napan Village. Using media ethnography method, this research found that television has a central position in this society. Widespread of Indonesia’s television broadcasting program in the border areas of Indonesia becomes one of the factors that can foster to the national pride of the Napan people. Besides, possessing a television becomes one of important determinants of comfort in household audience. Television for the people of Napan Village also has economic value as a tool to help running their business in the border area in Timor Leste. The high penetration of television has also made television programs as one of the topics in daily conversation. It is a form of gratitude to Kie Ong Ya (God of the sea) by burning a barge (tongkang) after praying. This research uses ethnography of communication by collecting descriptive data on how social meanings are used and communication behavior has been done by the society of Bagansiapi-api in Bakar Tongkang tradition. This research discusses communicative situation, events and communicative acts related to Bakar Tongkang ritual. Informants are ethnic Chinese community leaders in Bagansiapi-api and chief of Tourism Department of Rolan Hilir Regency. Data are collected through interviews and observation. The result shows the communicative situation of Bakar Tongkang tradition consists of the location of the implementation of this tradition, tongkang (barge) and participants who carry out the tradition. This tradition is held in the Yin Hock King Temple. Communicative events of Bakar Tongkang tradition include value, message and purpose of holding the tradition. The value of this tradition is cultural value although it relates to Konghucu ritual. This study uses case study method based on the perspective of the theory of reputation. The result shows that info graphics are able to make government’s message can be communicated attractively and support a reputation. It concludes (1) info graphics successfully synergize delivery of 13 single narratives about economic policy package through some form of design published in social media; (2) elements of info graphics are strengthened by the used of hashtag and logo “Indonesia Good” in the design of the content of policy packages supported by the four sides of reputation (credibility, trustworthiness, reliability, and responsibility), through the realization of a number of components to build a reputation namely core values, values, identity, projection and image.
