One of the results of the growing enrollment of many universities has been the need for additional qualified teaching staff and advanced training, which has led to the need to retrain existing teachers for staffing the growing number of higher education institutions. The first of the major success factors in this endeavor is to ensure that teachers are motivated to earn a relatively adequate salary. In recent years, a number of RA universities have successfully applied the method of salary calculation, which is based on the principle that a teacher (professor, associate professor, assistant, etc.) receives a salary depending on his category and workload (number of hours per academic year). Another important component of the assessment is the real involvement of the teacher in scientific activities and, based on this, a method for calculating the salary of a teacher is proposed, taking into account, among other things, his scientific activity. Radziejowska","doi":"10.2478/czoto-2023-0027","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.2478/czoto-2023-0027","url":null,"abstract":"Abstract This work systematizes the knowledge on several food labelling systems, namely the Nutri-Score, the NutrInform, and the Mediterranean Index (Med Index). The Nutri-Score system assesses nutritional value of a product per 100 g or 100 ml with no consideration of usually consumed serving as well as vitamins, minerals, and bioactive compounds. The concept of NutrInform does not label food products as ‘good’ or ‘bad’. Instead, it indicates energy content in a serving (50 or 100 g) and contents of individual nutrients in a serving along with the percentage of their reference values of recommended daily intake. Thus, the NutrInform label placed on a product by a manufacturer participating in the system presents information in the following order: energy content in calories, contents of fatty acids, saturated fatty acids, sugars, and salt (everything expressed in grams). The Med Index covers three pillars of sustainability, taking into account nutritional, environmental, and social aspects. This labelling system assesses 27 criteria (9 for each pillar), the presence or absence of which is immediately visible to the consumer by a different colour of a label on the front of the pack (where blue reflects to the best score). A single graphic symbol allows consumers to simultaneously analyse various properties of the product and/or its production process in a few seconds. It forms a useful tool for comparing food products belonging to the same category and a useful system for ending the information asymmetry that characterizes the market of many food products. After analysing the available literature, it can be concluded that there are studies in the field of safety on playgrounds, but there are no publications combining surveys with the use of quality management tools in relation to this topic. Through a direct survey conducted among parents and caregivers, information was obtained about the threats in playgrounds located near housing estates they meet most often. Using the Ishikawa diagram, this information was grouped and a brainstorming session was conducted to isolate the root causes of these threats. After conducting an analysis using the Pareto-Lorenz diagram, the threats that appeared most frequently in the respondents' responses were specified. Sludge and slag waste were used for testing. Both wastes were examined in terms of their chemical composition using a spectrometer, their specific density and grain composition were determined. As part of the tests, a series of standard mortars were made and the results obtained for modified mortars were compared to them. The produced cement composites used waste in amounts of 5, 10, 15 and 20% of the cement mass, used as a substitute for standard sand. After preparing the standard mortar and mortars containing additives for each series, consistency tests were performed using the flow table method. After an appropriate maturing time, flexural and compression tests were performed for all mortar series after 7 and 28 days of maturing, as well as water absorption tests. The research shows that the addition of these two wastes thickens the fresh cement mortar (from 0.62 to 15 %). The use of such waste also results in a decrease in flexural strength after 7 and 28 days (for sludge from 5 to 21% and for slag from 2 to 11%). Hence, the purpose was to define the actions that can be expected from SMEs from the V4 countries when improving products and minimizing the negative impact on the natural environment. The research tool was a survey, the presented results of which were obtained from March to September 2023. They included 379 SMEs from the Visegrad Group countries, i.e. Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Hungary. The results were analyzed using statistical tests performed in STATISTICA 13.3. For this purpose, the ANOVA test (repeated measurement designs) and the Mann Whitney U test were used to analyze statistically significant differences between the test results. Analyzes were performed at the significance level of α=0.05. The analysis showed that entrepreneurs from the V4 countries expect relatively different actions from SMEs when improving products and minimizing the negative impact on the natural environment. The most important features of bioactive glasses include: the ability to biodegrade and high bioactivity. Appropriate porosity, pore size, surface structure and topography, chemical composition and ion release kinetics, as well as mechanical properties enable the adhesion of mesenchymal cells and their differentiation towards osteoblast cells and stimulate further proliferation and angiogenesis. This study concerns the subject of bioglass, in particular Bioglass 45S5 and glass-crystalline porous materials in the context of their properties enabling the reconstruction of bone tissue and possible applications. A comprehensive risk assessment is conducted for these roles both pre and post the introduction of safety protocols. The study's practical application showcased a substantial diminishment of occupational risks, particularly highlighting a 46.37% reduction in the toolmaker-milling role. The spread and implementation of artificial intelligence in social processes form a specific interaction between this technology and society. Achieving only positive results from using intelligent software and systems requires awareness and responsibility from people when interacting with smart machines. The managerial responsibility of the leader when using artificial intelligence is an important topic of modern management. The article examines the role of artificial intelligence in the fourth industrial revolution era and considers statistical forecasts regarding its future impact on various spheres of human activity. The author analyzed the features of leadership in modern conditions of technology development and substantiated the specific role of a leader who uses the functions of artificial intelligence in management activities. The author proposed a hierarchical scheme of interaction of the participants of the production process in the organization, which arises when using intelligent systems to achieve the set goals. The main result of the work is the development of a scheme that reveals the need for the formation of a structure in the interaction of the organizational system with the technological potential of artificial intelligence. High-quality services and products contribute to increased customer loyalty and the establishment of a positive company image in the competitive online market. In the case of e-commerce, the main attributes considered when evaluating quality are those related to the functioning of the website through which the customer orders products. The main goal of the study was an attempt to compile attributes that would reflect the quality of a specific e-service, especially an e-commerce store, and influence customer satisfaction. Based on the list of attributes, an effort was made to identify those most important to customers. The research results, the importance of individual attributes and groups, further demonstrate what customers pay particular attention to in e-shops and what matters to them.
