Subjects in this study is students of class VI SDN Tanjung 3. Research object of learning to write short stories in Indonesian Language. Data collection techniques used in this study consist of (a) observation, (b)interview, (c)study of document, (d)questionnaire, (e)tasks. Testing the validity of data is done by triangulation. Approaches of analysing data which used in this research are descriptive qualitative and descriptive comparative. The conclusions of this research can be known that the media of poetry and SAVI approach can improve quality in learning process and ability to write short stories in Class VI SDN Tanjung 3. From the results of the pre-action learning process is still less than optimal and the average ability to write short stories 65.8. The first cycle, which is when the learning process students are more enthusiastic and average ability to write is 75.5. In second cycle, the quality of learning process has more increased. The average student's ability to write short stories was increased until 82.8. This research covers two cycles, each of which includes planning, implementing, controling, and reflecting. The subject of the research are 32 fifth graders of SD Negeri Kasepuhan Sewon Bantul being taught by problem solving technique to develop their critical thinking and problem solving skill of the Social Science subject. The results show that: (1) the students' activity develops from 5 active students in pre research stage to 10 in the first cycle; and it becomes 28 in the second cycle; (2) students' courage to pose ideas develops from 4 courageous students in pre research stage to 15 in the first cycle; and 25 in the second cycle; (3) the ability to share ideas develops from 7 capable students in pre research to 12 in the first cycle, and 26 in the second cycle; (4) the thinking skill develops from 2 skilled students in problem solving in pre research stage to 17 in the first cycle, and 24 in the second cycle. This research used quantitative approach. The participants of the research are 159 teachers of 30 primary school Kras, District of Kediri. The data found using closed model questionnaire instrument. The data analyzed using path analyzing, with the help of SPSS PASW Statistics 18 program. The results of the research show that there is a significance influence between transformational leadership and job satisfaction toward organizational citizenship behavior of the teacher in primary school Kras, District of Kediri. The transformational leadership contributes 15.1% while the job satisfaction contribution is 20.4%. Social values and their application should be accommodated in critical thinking process framed by a curriculum; in the way that curriculum has become the best vehicle for the students to develop their skill in grasping with the learning materials, understanding the personal and local problems. Many efforts have been undertaken by the decision makers of education to pursue it. Among other efforts done by the authorities is the professional teacher certification. The implementation of professional teacher certification has basically referred to the Law No. 19, year 2005, on the National Education Standard; and the Governmental Regulation No. 74 year 2008 on Teachers, which suggest that teachers are obliged to have relevant academic qualification, competence and certification of educator. The objective of those regulations is only very prestigious i.e. to make them enhance qualified working experience within a certain interval of time. The cultural phenomenon happens there has not yet found before which has been a specific interest of the new-comers. It has been beleived that Balikapan City does not have its own culture, rather than imigrants' ones. While Erau is originated from East Kalimantan which is celebrated in areas away from East Kalimnatan, but not in Balikpapan. This ceremony is coducted with the presence of the King, the Queen, and the Kingdom's Advisor of Kutai, which is then beleived that there is a close relationship between Kutai Kingdom and Erau in Balikpapan. This research is attempted to bring about thorough explanation about the history of Balikpapan City under qualitataive research method. The data are drawn through participatory observation, in-depth interview and documentation. The data are validated by the time-triangulation technique. The research design is pretest-posttest control group design. The data are drwan through tests which are analized quantitatively; and questionaire to measure the attractiveness of multimedia-based learning model, which will be analized qualitatavely. The treatment is carried out out by using storyboard, which is approved by experts of multimedia and teaching method. The result of the analysis shows that multi media-based learning model significantly influence the students’ achievement in Social Science. Best belief of something is the result of learning process, coping with rational internalization about truths and well-being. Social Science is hoped to serve the moral education content, since it facilitates students with ability to adapt to the environment, to build knowledge, and to nurture the culture.
