Firstly, considering the motor dynamics of the robot manipulator, the robot manipulator dynamics can be separated into two subsystems named as the robot joint subsystem and the motor subsystem. Then, a third-order and a second-order ESO are respectively designed for these two subsystems. With uncertainties in both subsystems approximated by the extended state, the virtual control force and the real control input voltage of the system can be designed based on Active Disturbance Rejection Control (ADRC) method. The proposed approach only rely joint position messages without velocity measurement. Further simulation results of joint space trajectory tracking on a modular manipulator are presented to validate the design.","PeriodicalId":315420,"journal":{"name":"2010 8th World Congress on Intelligent Control and Automation","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-07-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"116912935","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

By introducing the classification-type loss to calculate example's error, AdaBoost algorithm can be generalized from classification to regression. A new Boosting algorithm for regression, called AdaBoost.SVR.R which can be directly applied to a regression problem is proposed. SVR is used as its base learner. Its output is an ensemble of a team of regression functions. The employing of the classification-type loss makes the iterating process of AdaBoost.SVR.R act essentially on a converted binary classification problem. The output scheme of AdaBoost.SVR.R is also derived upon constructing decision function of the binary classification problem. Since it has the same application condition as AdaBoost, AdaBoost.SVR.R could satisfy the convergence proof of AdaBoost algorithm. The testing results for the considered data sets show that the new algorithm is effective.","PeriodicalId":315420,"journal":{"name":"2010 8th World Congress on Intelligent Control and Automation","volume":"50 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-07-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"117214851","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We adopt the additive white noise (AWN) channel with a prescribed power constraint as our channel model. For first order systems, we derive explicitly the necessary and sufficient conditions for stabilizability and show the tradeoff between the minimum signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) required for the forward and feedback channel. We also show explicitly that the use of two-parameter controller in this problem assumes better performance.","PeriodicalId":315420,"journal":{"name":"2010 8th World Congress on Intelligent Control and Automation","volume":"71 3-4","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-07-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"120982104","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, compared to other traditional orthogonal transforms, such as DFT and DCT, The usually used fast wavelet transform (FWT) has its inconvenience in application. One frequently met problem is that FWT is rarely realized in the form of linear transformation by matrix and vector multiplication, which is the form that almost all the other existing orthogonal transforms take. That is because FWT dose not usually have an explicit transform matrix. As a result, FWT cannot be used in some cases where an explicit transform matrix is required. In this paper, we explore the matrix forms of 2-D discrete wavelet transform (DWT) and apply one of them in compressed sensing (CS). Our contribution is in two aspects: we give the equivalent 2-D DWT matrix that can be used to perform the 2-D DWT in the matrix form of 1-D DWT; meanwhile, we propose a separable 2-D DWT that is different from the traditional one and has some good properties.","PeriodicalId":315420,"journal":{"name":"2010 8th World Congress on Intelligent Control and Automation","volume":"73 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-07-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127281244","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

It states the principle of DIT, describes the method of directional illumination processing, studies the characteristic of seismic wave field corresponding to DIT. Here we designed horizontal and dip layer media models, simulated seismic data from electromagnetic vibrator system, and synthesized one-shot seismic record with DIT. To estimate time delay of reflectors underground, cross-correlation detection method is used. To analyze the performance of DIT, we calculated SNR (signal-to-noise ratio) of reflected wave signal before and after directional illumination processing for both media models. The result shows that SNR of regular seismic data is −26.09dB, however, SNR increased to −20.72dB with DIT averagely for horizontal model. SNR increased 3.01dB for dip model. It concludes that cross-correlation method works well to detect time delay of reflected signals, DIT could boost SNR of reflected waves for layer medium.","PeriodicalId":315420,"journal":{"name":"2010 8th World Congress on Intelligent Control and Automation","volume":"7 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2010-07-07","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"127347980","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
