The research was carried out in July-August 2022. Located on Barrang Lompo Island. Sample analysis was carried out at the Chemistry and Soil Fertility Lab, Hasanuddin University. The method used in this study for seagrass cover on Barrang Lompo Island was a quadratic transect (perpendicular to the shoreline) modified from the Seagrass Watch method. The consideration of choosing Seagrass Watch as a reference is that this method is suitable for monitoring activities carried out by the general public or volunteers because the implementers of seagrass monitoring in COREMAP - CTI activities are not only researchers or technicians in the seagrass field. The method used for sampling the substrate is purposive sampling method. Purposive sampling is a sampling technique with certain considerations. The results showed that the seagrass cover on Barrang Lompo Island was in the medium category with an average cover value of 37.05% and the total organic carbon content of the substrate contained in one area was 0.70 Ton/Ha with a total CO2 absorption on the substrate of the field. Seagrass in Barrang Lompo waters is 2.57 Ton/Ha.","PeriodicalId":31515,"journal":{"name":"Marine Fisheries Jurnal Teknologi dan Manajemen Perikanan Laut","volume":"36 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"78459665","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This shrimp has the advantage of being more resistant to environmental conditions and disease. Feed plays an important role in its cultivation because it absorbs the largest cost of 60-70% of the total production cost. At present, there are still many farmers, both traditional and modern, who have not carried out effective feeding because of the high cost of providing feed. Amazon sailfin catfish, Pterygoplichthys pardalis are invasive fish in waters that need to be limited in population development by using them. One form of utilization is to make it a fish meal product and then it becomes a raw material for feed. This study aims to analyze the use of P. pardalis meal as feed for vaname shrimp. The test animals were vaname shrimp with a weight of 3.35±0.5 g; total length 6±0.5 cm, first acclimatized for 5 days. The percentages of using broomstick fish meal were 25%, 30%, 35% as treatment and commercial feed as control feed. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications. Research for 60 days, the dose of feed given is 5% with a frequency of 5 times a day. The parameters observed were: absolute growth (PM), daily growth (PH), daily growth rate (LPH), feed conversion (KP), feed efficiency (EF) and survival (KH). Data were analyzed for variance (ANOVA). The results showed that the higher the percentage of P. pardalis meal, the better the response of vannamei shrimp to growth parameters, but based on the analysis of variance, it showed that the treatment not significant all the parameters observed.","PeriodicalId":31515,"journal":{"name":"Marine Fisheries Jurnal Teknologi dan Manajemen Perikanan Laut","volume":"282 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-12-31","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"73376817","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Currently, the Batang Tebo River is a place for waste disposal, garbage, oil spills, and even the biggest illegal gold mining (PETI). This resulted in a drastic decrease in fishermen in Batang Tebo waters using gill nets. The purpose of the study was to determine the structure of the fish community in Batang Tebo from the catch when using gill nets. This research was started on April 18, 2022 - May 31, 2022, and is located on the Batang Tebo River, Bungkal Village, Tebo Regency. The researcher thus causes the survey method and random sampling as the data collection. Collection of data from this research activity included the structure of the community caught by fishermen using gill nets. The catch data includes fish size, fish weight, total fish weight, and the fish species. The supporting data collect environmental parameters (temperature, pH, current speed, brightness). The number of fish catches produced during the research activity reached 292, with the composition of the catch consisting of 5 species, namely: Baung Fish (Hemibagrus Menerus), Sand Lambak Fish (Labiobarbus Festivus), Lais Fish (Cryptopterus Sp), Kapiat Fish (Barbonymus schwanenfeldi), Juaro Fish (Pangasius polyuranodon). The highest catch was Baung fish many as 89 fish lowe catch was Juaro fish as many as 17 dominant index was 0.23.
