Dielectric resonator based filters with ferrite elements suffer from spurious resonances located close to the useful passband. The system is represented by its partial elements equivalent circuit (PEEC) and then reduced using ENOR, SMOR or SAPOR algorithm. As a result one obtains a compact input-output relation. Different transitions from coaxial to double-ridged waveguide were considered on the preliminary step of the study. Next, a suitable configuration for feeding the ridges of antenna was chosen. The sinusoidal ridge taper is described in the next part of the paper. Finally, the simulations results of complete antenna are presented. The designed antenna is developed on a high dielectric substrate and its size is 13 mm by 26 mm. The measured 10-dB return loss bandwidth of this antenna element is from 3 GHz to more than 15 GHz. In this paper, a reliable identification method, called orthormal vector fitting method, is combined with a relaxation constraint. This leads to more accurate fitting models, in a limited amount of computation time, especially if the spectral data is contaminated with noise. The possibility of measuring ε<sup>'</sup> with uncertainties smaller than 0.2% allows to precisely design chemical composition of dielectrics as well as determine their functional properties which are important in terms of their application. The studying of influence of a middle layer, filled different substances, on a frequency and quality factor of resonator was carried out. Spectral and energy characteristics of a resonator with a whispering gallery oscillation were studied at different thickness of middle layer and its position along the radius.
