The concept and evaluating of big data quality in the semantic environment 语义环境下大数据质量的概念与评价

Data storage and data collection capabilities are now rapidly expanding in all fields of science and technology due to the rapid development of networks. Evaluating the quality of data is a difficult task in the context of big data, because the speed of semantic data reasoning directly depends on its quality. The appropriate strategies are necessary to evaluate and assess data quality according to the huge amount of data and its rapid generation. Managing a large volume of heterogeneous and distributed data requires defining and continuously updating metadata describing various aspects of data semantics and its quality, such as conformance to metadata schema, provenance, reliability, accuracy and other properties. The article examines the problem of evaluating the quality of big data in the semantic environment. The definition of big data and its semantics is given below and there is a short excursion on a theory of quality assessment. The model and its components which allow to form and specify metrics for quality have already been developed. This model includes such components as: quality characteristics; quality metric; quality system; quality policy. A quality model for big data that defines the main components and requirements for data evaluation has already been proposed. In particular, such evaluation components as: accessibility, relevance, popularity, compliance with the standard, consistency, etc. are highlighted. The problem of inference complexity is demonstrated in the article. Approaches to improving fast semantic inference through materialization and division of the knowledge base into two components, which are expressed by different dialects of descriptive logic, are also considered below. The materialization of big data makes it possible to significantly speed up the processing of requests for information extraction. It is demonstrated how the quality of metadata affects materialization. Now the development of an integrated science infrastructure that is interoperable with the European infrastructure using standards and software tools for information interaction is becoming relevant. The forming of national infrastructure should make use of the results of European initiatives regarding the integration of technical and informational resources and ensuring cooperation in conducting research. The combination of information and computing structures begins with the lowest links - institutional, departmental and national, which later will be integrating into common global infrastructures. The article considers approaches to creating conditions and structures based on the cloud technologies for more effective cooperation of scientific teams working on similar scientific problems. The main tasks for forming the basis of the Open science cloud in Ukraine at the national and institutional levels have been formulated on the basis of a detailed analysis of the experience of developing the European Open Science Cloud and regulatory documents relative to open science cloud in Ukraine. The implementation of these tasks, according to the authors, is significant. It should represent knowledge that meets the requirements of the concept of sustainable development. This fundamental science could be named as the Software Engineering Ecology. Along with others, it should include a section containing knowledge about software engineering ecosystems. This section of the future science has been intensively developing for more than fifteen years. However, today, there is no consen- sus among researchers regarding the definitions of the software ecosystem. Naturally, it does not contribute to the creation of an appropriate section of emerging science. All authors offer only a software ecosystem, considering it in different contexts and defining it in different ways. The term “software ecosystem” is now used to refer to a wide range of ecosystems that are actually software engineering ecosystems. The purpose of this paper is to propose a basis for defining software engineering ecosystems. By analogy with the concepts of the landscape and the trophic chain of biological ecosystems, the concepts of software landscape and software engineering value chain are proposed. Based on these concepts, the diversity of software engineering ecosystems is shown. Still, we lack tools to observe and measure performance characteristics of GPU-based software. We state that due to complex memory hierarchy and thou- sands of execution threads the all performance issues are about efficient use of graphics card memory hierarchy. We propose to use GPGPUSim simulator, previously used mostly for graphics card architecture validation, for performance validation for CUDA-based program. The transition to a new level of industry - “Industry 4.0”, characterized by robotics and cyber-socialization, brings a wave of new, never-before-seen challenges to the field of IT and programming. Under such conditions, it is impos- sible to achieve the desired synergistic effect without the formation of an appropriate informational and educational environment in institutions of higher education. One of the sources of the content of such an environment can be the publications of the world scientific community registered in international scientometric databases. On this basis, it becomes possible not only to provide effective digital educational content, but also to choose and use the latest technological means of learning support. A targeted review of primary sources in the Web of Science Core Collection database made it possible to identify, select, synthesize and evaluate research evidence relevant to the research questions: (i) what technological trends are analyzed in research, (ii) what information technolo- gies are considered in research, (iii) what strategies are reflected in publications to overcome the above challenges of SE teaching and learning. According to the results of the study, we offer to improve the educational and methodological support of software engineering education based on ontological modeling of the integration of the requirements of modern trends in the development of the industry and the IT sector, international recommendations and the capabilities of technological teaching aids. Zakharova","doi":"10.15407/pp2022.03-04.207","DOIUrl":"https://doi.org/10.15407/pp2022.03-04.207","url":null,"abstract":"This research is one of the branches of a general scientific and applied problem, namely, the problem of using and developing ontological approaches with descriptive logics (DL) apparatus to obtain the effective automated solution of complex business task based on service-oriented architecture. The base idea of the proposed method is the maximal ontologization, that is, all aspects of the task are determined by means of DL ontologies. The proposed ontology system is based on five basic types of ontologies, namely: (1) an ontology of general entities for defining the characteristics of the service’s context, (2) an ontology of the application domain to formalize and unify semantical descriptions of web services, (3) the top-level ontology of web services for the DL formalization of the definition of the web services in general, (4) the ontologies of the web services tasks, which provide a formal representation of the tasks on all stages of web services life cycle, and (5) the ontologies of specific web services. All listed ontologies are related. Such, ontologies of the last type include links to all other above-mentioned ontologies and, together with them, provide a unified formally defined semantic resource, which enables the automatic solution of web service tasks. The focus of this study is the applying descriptive logics with concrete domains to the formalization of such basic semantic web services tasks as the web services discovery and composition. In this article, the ontologies of the web services tasks are defined as an extension of the general top-level web service ontology with special complex concepts. Their elements are pairs of “web service-goal (request)”/”web service-web service”, which are compared according to the task being solved. Also, on their basis, special complex concepts are determined, which specify a set of found similarities between existing services and a goal in the discovery task, or «predecessor-follower» type responsibilities of web services to build a composite service. The proposed TBox statements are constructed using descriptive logic with concrete domains 𝓐𝓛𝓒(𝓓). For this purpose, a concrete domain is defined as a pair of sets: (1) the union of sets of possible subsets of the set of individuals of the Parameter concept and possible subsets of the set of individuals of the Context concept, and (2) a set of predicates defined on it. Such definition of the concrete domain provides possibility of using only functional roles to construct the DL statements of complex concepts DiscoveryServices and CompositionObject for determining corresponding web services tasks. Note, the defined tasks and web services ontologies cover only simplified model of the representation of web services, in particular, functional Input/Output model extended by contexts descriptions. The mentioned system consists of data acquisition system in the form of wireless sensor network and adaptive part in the form of decision-making support system. The authors described main applied software of au- tonomous nodes of wireless sensor network and implementation of some program functions of decision-making support system. Wire- less sensor network includes many autonomous wireless sensors, so the main criteria during applied software creation was assuring the energy efficiency of operation of autonomous measuring nodes and network coordinator, and correct interaction of nodes within all network. As it is very difficult to perform testing of applied software of wireless nodes individually in field conditions, it was tested the network cluster, including hardware and software as a whole, in conditions like to applied task. The main parameters, which define the correctness of applied software operation, were estimated. These parameters include, for example, time of network selforganization, distance and quality of stable communication, time of autonomous operation of wireless nodes without charging batteries and so on. To create applied software for the decision-making support system, first of all, methods of plants` state diagnosing and estimating the factors, which influence the plant state, were developed. For this, the field experiments were conducted to determine sufficient dose of herbicide application and estimate the soil moisture using the chlorophyll fluorescence induction method. For processing measured data, several methods of machine learning were used, including neural network approach. In scope of it new technologies have been created to solve information communication problems. One of them is distance monitoring which requires electrocardiogram analysis. In this case it is important to confirm that the transferred electrocardiogram through information channels belongs to the patient. Researchers from different countries work on this problem. They suggest different methods of authentication by electrocardiogram. The goal of this work is to suggest a prototype of a service that could be used to authenticate electrocardiograms. The paper describes which algorithms have been used to build authentication technology and how it was implemented. There is a short history of built applications. It shows their structures and the purpose. The recently developed system is a prototype to authentication service. It performs registration of new electrocardiograms which is the most time consuming process in authentication. The paper describes the architecture of the system and shows the result of executed experiments. The results show that there is a performance issue with the machine learning library ML.NET. When a lot of cores are allocated to one machine learning instance the overheads highly decrease the overall experiment time. These experiments confirmed Amdahl’s law. Nevertheless, an architecture was found where experiments took the least time for execution. Knowing the issue with the machine learning library, a new architecture setup was suggested and will be implemented in future works. Besides, attention is paid on how developed service should help researchers to improve the technology. The main idea of the system is using one service for developing and testing the technology.
