Hence, the study proposed a model which is underpinned with social identity theory. The research model employed consumer ethnocentrism, self-congruity product characteristic, perceived relative price, brand personality and service quality. The current study identify research gap and found to the best knowledge of researchers that past study is lacking the determinants which motivate consumer intention, separately, to select local or imported cars. Moreover, aforementioned studies reported inconsistent results about consumer inclination towards automobile selection. The sample size of the study was 396. The proposed model was analyzed using structural equation model. The finding of the study revealed that consumer intention to purchase locally assembled and imported cars are shaped by both factors like rational and emotional. In addition to the results unveiled the fact that consumer purchase intention towards locally assembled cars highly influenced by ethnocentrism, brand personality as well as product characteristics. In continuation with the brand personality has highest explanatory power for making consumer intention towards imported cars. In contrary to that while purchasing imported cars the consumer influenced by self-congruity and brand personality. In addition to perceived relative price and service quality having insignificant effect on both cars. The present study confirmed that in collectivism society the purchase of automobile shaped by emotions and social influences. Although the study contributed in literature with theoretical and practical implication nevertheless suggested some future research direction.","PeriodicalId":31323,"journal":{"name":"South Asian Journal of Management Sciences","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68573813","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

The moderation multiple regression analysis was applied for analysis using SMART PLS3.0 software. A fully structured questionnaire is used for gathering data or information from the respondents. The results showed that all the variables are directly and significantly influencing access to finance except interest rates, but interest rates indirectly affect the dependent. The government support does moderate in the interaction between collateral security, interest rate, and financial accessibility. On the other hand, the variable doesn't quite moderate the interaction between financial information, business ownership, and financial accessibility in Pakistan. This research aimed at making access to finance services essentially helpful to the SME industry by knowing what impacts their financial accessibility and helping lending institutions in understanding what effectively prevents the SME industry from accessing finance-related services in Pakistan.","PeriodicalId":31323,"journal":{"name":"South Asian Journal of Management Sciences","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68574110","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This study has used Return on assets and Tobin's Q as the measures of accounting performance and market performance respectively. To effectively examine the causal structure of corporate financing, investment, dividend payout decisions, and the firm performance simultaneously this study has used path analysis approach. The sample comprises 292 non-financial firms which are listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX). The findings clearly show that debt financing has positive effect on the investment and dividend has negative effect on the investment decisions. The debt financing and investment has a negative impact on corporate performance while dividend decisions has a positive impact on corporate performance. This study helps to understand the corporate decision making process of Pakistani firms. To the author's knowledge this is the first study attempted to check the application of path analysis in emerging economies to study the causal structure of corporate financial decisions and corporate performance.","PeriodicalId":31323,"journal":{"name":"South Asian Journal of Management Sciences","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68574255","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

This article describes how students graduating from a business school in Karachi, Pakistan perceive various organizational factors in terms of their impact on the attractiveness of the firm as a place to work. The framework used in the study included exogenous constructs depicting compensation, both direct and indirect, along with Corporate social responsibility, both internal and external in organizations. The influences of both compensation and CSR on organizational attractiveness were examined in the study. The segregation of respondents in terms of gender was used as a moderator. The moderating influence of gender segregation on the relationship between exogenous and endogenous constructs was also examined in this paper. In the study 130 responses were received and 112 were found suitable for the analysis. The results were analyzed on SMART PLS software by using latest techniques. The findings of the study demonstrated that compensation is the significant factor attracting business school talent, while gender moderated the impact of both compensation and CSR activities on workplace attractiveness. Specifically, males prefer extrinsic direct and indirect compensation and no impact of CSR found to attract them. Extrinsic indirect compensation and internal CSR activities were positively related to workplace attractiveness for women than for men. Implementing these practices appropriately given the context is likely to benefit the firm by attracting talented employees. The study is limited to only business institutes of Karachi which can be extended to other cities and institutes in future for the better results and generalizability.","PeriodicalId":31323,"journal":{"name":"South Asian Journal of Management Sciences","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68574021","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Based on data from a sample that included 349 Saudi individuals, the analyses supported most mechanisms flowing from environmental concern to self-image congruence and green brand trust in serial. The direct relationship of environmental concern to green purchase intention was also statistically significant. This study provides an interesting perspective on the antecedents of green purchase intention. From a managerial perspective, the results show that cognitive, psychological and motivational mechanisms could enhance green markets in an Arab and Islamic country.","PeriodicalId":31323,"journal":{"name":"South Asian Journal of Management Sciences","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68574094","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, there are limited studies to investigates the moderating role of self-resilience along with mediating role of avoidance behavior in fear of COVID-19. The survey questionnaire is used to collect responses from the public of Pakistan. The questionnaire sent to respondents using google forms, WhatsApp, and Facebook. A total of five hundred (500) responses were collected for data analysis. A causal relationship has been analyzed using partial least square equation modeling (PLS-SEM). This study confirmed that in the case in fear of COVID-19, avoidance behavior enhances the level of worry, Panic, and sense of helplessness. Thus, avoidance behavior holds the potential to increase COVID-19 Fear. It is further observed that self-resilience is useful in decreasing the level of Worry and Panic spread due to COVID-19 fear which means a high level of self-resilience controls the recurrence of worry and panic when and where it appears. The result of this research identified that avoidance behavior could result in increased fear. Hence the study concluded that avoidance behaviors should be adopted under some clinical therapy to overcome the fear of related issues with certain clinical recommendations. The study further concluded that stronger self-resilience can be helpful in managing persistent fear, worry, and panic.","PeriodicalId":31323,"journal":{"name":"South Asian Journal of Management Sciences","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68574328","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

We find highly monopolistic conditions in lending market whereby majority of the banks are enjoying high market power. On the other hand, the deposit market is found to be highly competitive. Subsequently, we find the effects of the lending and deposit market measures of market power on the riskiness of banks to be asymmetric. In addition, we introduce charter value as a determinant of banks’ risk for the first time in the case of Pakistan and tested for whether or not greater higher valuable charters enhance the risk aversive tendencies of banks to preserve charter value? Our findings suggest that the theoretical link between charter value and market power is sufficiently strong to restrain risky behavior of banks.","PeriodicalId":31323,"journal":{"name":"South Asian Journal of Management Sciences","volume":"1 1","pages":""},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2022-01-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"68573424","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
