This paper proposes a novel method for analyzing the suitability of real-time image under complicated environment based on Contourlet by taking advantage of the characteristic of multi-direction and multi-scale of Contourlet, where the complicated environment focus on motion blur, illumination variation, occlusion of cloud and fog. Firstly, real-time image is transformed on 4-layer Contourlet, and the obtained coefficients are parameterized by Generalized Gaussian Distribution, forming a 62 - dimension feature vector. Then the relationship between the feature vector and the objective evaluation index of suitability is trained by support vector machine, to build the prediction model of suitability of real-time image under complicated environment. Finally, experiments are performed on image database picked from Google Earth. The experiments clearly demonstrate that the proposed algorithm is simple but effective for real-time image quality assessment in scene matching navigation.","PeriodicalId":312629,"journal":{"name":"2015 10th International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Knowledge Engineering (ISKE)","volume":"41 6 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"125885777","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

However, there are rare methods to set the appropriate hidden layers of DBNs. In this paper, we study the relationship between the number of hidden layers and the invariant features of speech signals, and the time cost of the accuracy of speech recognition. Also, we study the approximations in Contrastive Divergence algorithm which is used to train the Restricted Boltzmann Machine. We conclude that it exists an appropriate number of hidden layers of DBNs which can balance the accuracy of speech recognition and the training time. It has appropriate number of hidden layers of DBNs for the experiments of speech recognition on TIMIT corpus. When the number of hidden layers greater than the appropriate number the accuracy of speech recognition are almost the same, and the time cost increase largely.","PeriodicalId":312629,"journal":{"name":"2015 10th International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Knowledge Engineering (ISKE)","volume":"8 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"128026042","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

Node degree, node hyperdegree, and hyperedge degree and their corresponding polynomials are introduced to describe this hypernetwork model. It is shown that this kind of hypernetworks is fractal as its correlation matrix is a fractal matrix. The fractal parameter is then given. What's more, this kind of hypernetworks is also small-world for the diameter won't exceed twice the diameter of primitive hypergraph. This paper focuses on thoroughly examining the advance of automated MLS object extraction techniques over the last five years. Categorized as either on-road or off-road, mainly six objects are included in this paper (road curbs, road markings, pavement cracks, building facades, pole-like objects and trees). MLS extraction techniques applied on typical objects is evaluated according to their method design, degree of automation, precision, and computational efficiency. Recent researches mostly focus on developing accurate object extraction algorithms and most of the reviewed methods can achieve high precision, however, optimizing the trade-off between computational cost and accuracy remains a big challenge. In addition, there is still no general standardized approach to deal with MLS objects extractions to date, most algorithms reviewed in this paper still need some artificial interference to ensure accuracy and efficiency.","PeriodicalId":312629,"journal":{"name":"2015 10th International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Knowledge Engineering (ISKE)","volume":"240 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"132621192","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

In this paper, we present a new method based on knowledge discovery technology to give the optimal thread quantity to improve SpMV performance and reduce execution time. Considering the feature of sparse matrix, which affecting the efficiency of SpMV, we cluster sample matrices by hierarchical clustering algorithm. Record the attributes values of the matrix that has large arithmetic intensity with different thread quantity in each cluster. Then predict thread quantity by comparing similarity between the test and record matrices. We test 10 sparse matrices on the Xeon E5-2670 multi-core platform. The experimental results show that the thread quantities predicted by this method agree with the practical result, and the accuracy of prediction reaches 90%. The method we proposed can estimate the optimal thread quantity accurately that can improve SpMV efficiency and reduce the computation time effectively.","PeriodicalId":312629,"journal":{"name":"2015 10th International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Knowledge Engineering (ISKE)","volume":"34 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"115942044","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}

But the distance cannot reflect all the correct information between items, which may lead to significant errors. We study the problem of seeking pairwise constraints with crowdsourcing in order to improve clustering results. Crowdsourcing is an emerging and powerful paradigm, which enables the use of background knowledge collecting from users, and image clustering is a relevant and appropriate use case. We propose a framework bringing in human intelligence during the clustering process. The key point of the framework is to choose best questions to perform on the crowdsourcing platform, gather pairwise constraints, and melt the existing algorithm and human input together. As the computation is extensive, we also provide some heuristic optimal methods, including natural transitive relations, to reduce the number of HITs of asking people. We evaluate the framework on real image dataset. The experiment result demonstrates the algorithm achieves a fairly good performance comparing to the other state-of-theart methods, and the optimized strategies significantly reduce the number of HIT.","PeriodicalId":312629,"journal":{"name":"2015 10th International Conference on Intelligent Systems and Knowledge Engineering (ISKE)","volume":"16 1","pages":"0"},"PeriodicalIF":0.0,"publicationDate":"2015-11-01","publicationTypes":"Journal Article","fieldsOfStudy":null,"isOpenAccess":false,"openAccessPdf":"","citationCount":null,"resultStr":null,"platform":"Semanticscholar","paperid":"123083169","PeriodicalName":null,"FirstCategoryId":null,"ListUrlMain":null,"RegionNum":0,"RegionCategory":"","ArticlePicture":[],"TitleCN":null,"AbstractTextCN":null,"PMCID":"","EPubDate":null,"PubModel":null,"JCR":null,"JCRName":null,"Score":null,"Total":0}
